I searched but didn't get anything, maybe I didnt search the right thing. I've finally snagged a new engine for my prelude so, she'll be running again and I'm building a new system. I've decided on 2x12 Q's and I'm curious to if a Brutus 2000W mono can power two? I've always been curious how exactly subs share power to one amp? Do they see the same power or is it cut in half? or what? I can get the Brutus cheap at work so I don't know If I should run one 2000W or 2x1200W amps. So far the build will include Polk momo components and (not my choice of speakers but not too bad when you can get them for $130) Hifonics Zeus 4 channel Polk DB 6.5 Rears Probobly a Pioneer DEH690…

On the BTL/BL..etc.. The terminal posts are to accommodate size 12 gauge speaker wire, and if you want to run it from a 1ohm load in parallel. Then you would have to cut the amount of strands in half per wire, so basically you have 24AWG of each going into the terminals. Just seems small. Since my amp (2500RMS) has 0AWG inputs for power, and 4AWG for speaker wire hookups. Other subs with equal power handling I have seen have way larger terminals. Is there a reason to the small terminals? What do you guys do to ensure you able to put the most amount of power to the sub?

I will have a stock car (130a alt., stock battery, big 3 done) and plan to run 1 15" SSD w/ BP power off a SAZ-1500D. Question is, do I buy the dual 1 ohm sub wired at 2 ohms, or get the dual 2 ohm sub wired at 1ohm? Sundown.com rates the 1500d @800rms at 2ohms... Which would be better? Wiring @ 2ohms would have less voltage drop correct? But wouldn't the amp be working harder ie. the gain would have to be much higher when running @ 2ohms? If I ran it @ 1ohm I could keep the gain really low so I'm thinking that this would be better for the amp. Any Thoughts?

WOOT! I think my X series are finally broken in and I have them tuned just right, I am now capable of 135+ db in IB with 300 "rated watts" off of my Fosgate Power 1000 at 4 ohms. I don't have a Term Lab available but I think I am doing pretty darn good on my little handheld SPL meter! Thanks Fi!

  6. I'm very happy with the quality of this subwoofer. Right now its in a sealed enclosure ~ 2.5 ft^3 after displacement. My old subwoofer was a 12" Infinity Perfect VQ in a sealed box as well. I was basically looking for more output, but still wanting it to sound just as good as my old sub. The Q fit perfectly, and it sounds just as good as the infinity i had before, only louder. I haven't tested it on alot of music, but their are some rock songs i have found that i actually prefer the sound of the Q over the infinity on lower volumes as well. Overall, I am very satisfied. I am thinking of trying a ported box (~3.5 @ 31hz) for the hell of it, since i have only had experienc…

If I order the sx recone will it come with the 1.4 ohm coils? Also, if it does have the 1.4 ohm coils will it be a direct fit or will my motor need to be sent in to be modified? And does anybody know the t/s specs for the sx 18 recone because I can't seem to find it anywhere and I know it's not exactly the same as the sx 18? I can't get any response from fi when I email them so I was hoping I could get some help here so I can order my recone already... Thanks

I've emailed sales@ and nick@, is there some other way I can get in contact? I posted in here a couple days ago on their "we're busy" thread, but no response http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...st&p=353212 If it were just for me, I'd forget about it and move on, but I'm stuck in the middle of something that I'm already financially committed to and the guy is starting to lose patience. I'm OK with deleting this once it's handled. no need to clutter a forum.

Hello, i am wondering if FI car audio can sell me a voice coil. I have all the neccessary parts for my 15" dayton audio MK3 recone but the vc. pierceaudioproducts sent me the wrong one, and when i reordered they didnt get it in. anyway the simpl specs are 2.5" diameter, 3" height, 2" winding, Dual 4 ohm impedience. i would also be fine with single as long as it is powerfull. I emailed FI but i havnt recieved a reply yet, so i thought i would try here. I am trying to get the caliper measurements for it. ALSO, i have various 2.5" voice coils and various spiders, baskets, etc., if anyone is intersested please say so. Thanks

I JUST RECEIVED MY ib3 12 sub which looks better than imagined and alot heavier too!! i read that its 550@20hz. i was looking into getting an alpine pdx 5 for my car wich is 350 rms at 2 ohms. does wattage affect output in a free air sub? does the 550 @ 20hz mean i shouldnt give it more than 550 or would 550 be the minimum power. i dunno, its a bit confusing. some help on this would be appreciated im not much of a noob in the audio world so scientific explanations are welcomed! haha

This time its in daylight and is much shorter because people complained on those points last time haha Although this time im driving and its not that easy to control the car and film while having that much bass ripping though the steering wheel haha Update on sub, its loud and insane, ive done several upgrades such as cleaned everything up, the big 3 and moved things around and I seriously could not believe what a massive differnce the big 3 made on how loud this sub goes! edit* oh and please rate and comment if you like, 5* would be nice
