Just got my woofer in and wondering whats the right size wire to use. 8awg?

Ok so i was wondering if anyone here can reccomend a 1ohm 1000w RMS mono amp to use with a 12" SSD? I chose BP power and copper coil for the options. Also i was wondering if there would be a difference between 1000w RMS @ 4 ohm and 1000w RMS @ 1 ohm. Right now its running 4ohm but the highs are not that loud. Lights dim more but its not as loud compared to lower notes.

So right now i have a 15" Q in a 4 cu ft ported box... sometime late this year or early next year i was thinking of upgrading to either another Q so (2) 15" Fi Q's or (1) 18" Xcon? What do you guys think about this? I am willing to pretty much give up my whole trunk so basically i want some SQ but more focused on getting loud... i like the lows ALOT... i want enough SQ so i can listen to some real rap and underground stuff that has quicker fast hits so i want to be able to listen to stuff like immortal technique and be able for it to sound good... but want to listen to jeezy and be loud as chit... so basically compromise between the two but more focused toward being loud.…

Was it FI that was making something called the FI X?? I have looked but can't find it and the search will not work for FI x to few letters together.. Seem's like alot of people are talking about 8's lately you guys should make a SSD 8 and a Q 8, or is the motor to big for a 8?

Running it on a 1500D sundown. ordering the sub on friday and I am in need of advice for options, im poor so what is need for that thing to hit hard handle most of the amp.

I'm a noob so bear with me. I would like to have some trunk space available after i put my box in. Interested in a ported box I really want the 15BL but i am afraid it'll take up to much trunk space but i can settle for a 12BL if i need too. If i choose to go with 12BL or the 15BL, what dimensions and tunning spec so i go with? I listen to old school rap, trance and a little bit of alternative rock. Also which voice coil option should i choose to go alone with my amp? Current amp is autotek SS 1900 Thanks all

I'm sure this has come up before, but I searched and didn't find anything. I'm designing my box to have 1.3cuft per speaker. What would change if I moved it up to 1.4 or 1.5? would it make much of a difference? Also while I'm here, for the BP power, the website says it "increase power handling from 200-500 Watts depending on the application. 
". In this application, being 1.3cuft sealed, would I be okay giving them 1300w? Thanks for any help.

Does anyone know if FI got their internet back up and running? I talked to Nick on Wednesday or Thursday and he said the internet had been down all week so they couldn't ship anything out. I am waiting on 2 btl's to ship out so I was going to see if they ever got it running again

Alright, So I Have a couple of questions. Currently I am running 1/0 to a saz-1500d and a 15" Fi BL with p chamfer. My question is i'm considering buying my friends 15" BL so I can run them both, his sub does not have a p chamfer, Is that going to be a huge difference in power or sound? My friend sugested that with the right electrical set up I could possible run my 1500d at .5 ohm. I'm not sure about that. Any suggestions and Info would be appreciated. Thanks

I have a 2008 bl 15 w cooling and flatwind option on a us amps 2000x (2000w easily). Have had this setup for bout 9 months now running with no issues but it seems as of late that it just doesn't seem to be as accurate as it used to be. Also feels like I'm missing some punch. Being that I've been throwing a lot of power to it, possible that the soft parts properties changing from all the movement?

This may not be directly about an Fi product but i didnt know where else to go to. Hope you guys dont mind...but i was thinking about upgarding to a better amp. I currently have an hifonics bxi1208 powering my 12'' Fi Q with Bp. I was thinking about an audioque 1200d. Would this amp be that much better? All my electrical is stock. My alt is a 130 amp. So a couple months ago i discussed my sub fryin on me with you guys, sent it in was talkin to Scott at Fi got speedy responses from him couple weeks later i talked to him asked how things were lookin said they would have my sub shipped out by fri which supposed to be 4-10, i understand they are busy with things goin on but ever since that last message from them i cant seem to get any answers from them, anyone know what might be up. is Scott on vacation or what cuz i understand chit happens but i just wanna know whats goin on you know

For a while i have been pondering on whether to get a fully Loaded 15" Btl or 2 12" Q's I know that they are in very different (technology wise), but i have read alot on these forums that sometimes cone area can over come better machinery they are relatively the same price when it all comes down to it. They will be ran off of a AudioQue 2200D I just want opinions (not criticism) on which sub/subs you guys think will pound harder. I have a 03 trailblazer and i like lows Box will be ported and built accordingly

I want to build a system utilizing 2 15" BTL's. What I need to know is what it's going to take to power these subwoofers properly. I've considered using a Rockford Fosgate 4000 Watt Amp, is that going to make the grade? I've heard that the BTL's need about 1500-2000 Watts RMS, so I have a good idea of what kind of amp I'm going to need. The real question is, if 4000 Watts is what I need to move them, what do I need for the charging system? The best high output altenator I've found is 180 Amps. I plan on upgrading all of the charging system wiring as well. Am I going to need to use multiple batteries in addition to my regular car battery and upgraded altenator? A lot of pe…

Didn't know if this belonged on the tech page, so here goes. Just recently looked at the SSD 10 and 12". Looks to me they have the same power handling. Anyways Im currenty torn between the two of them. I know I would get 1 with a copper coil but thats it. I would like some more input on both, so I could get a better idea on which version would give me the results I want. Amp I have is an older Memphis 500D. Matt I'm also looking at the SoundSplinter rl-i10 if it matters any.

How long does it usually take for turn around on emails? I've sent one to the sales and recone emails for Fi over a week ago and haven't heard anything. So I've been doing a lot of reading and looking around and now I'm kind of geared towards one or two Fi Q 12"s. If I go with two I was looking at the Audioque 2200D, but I haven't really looked for an amp if I only go with one, so I'm kind of set on two but I'm worried about it being too loud. What kind of electrical upgrades would I have to do for two of them? Now I was thinking of building my box, I'm debating between ported or sealed, haven't really decided which one I want to go with yet. My max trunk space is 36" wide, 15" high. I can go kind of deep, can't remember the exact measurement right now but how deep would I have to go for a box with that width and height?…

Here are a few pics of my somewhat recent install and my brand new tint. I got a 15" Fi Q with red dustcap and BP Power, running on a Sundown 1200D at 1 ohm. Put it into a custom built box with white ultra-suede front and 4.0 cu ft volume with (4) 3" ports which i dont think is quite enough but ill be upgrading to a XCON eventually so trying not to put any more money into this system unless absolutely necessary. The tint is 15% all around (back shield, back 2 doors, and front 2 doors) and im considering a 50% on the front shield. Car is a 1999 Volvo S70. Headunit is Alpine CDA-9886.....
