well i ordered 2 btls friday night, i got a pay pal verification, order confirmation from fi, then i got this wierd e mail that i havent seen before : i did not recieve this emauil when i purchased my Q so i wanted to check it out. is it legit. thanks for any help

So this last weekend I came home for spring break. I have a 15" Q and my brother has a 12" q. Saturday night my sub quit playing and I was a little drunk so I didnt worry about it. On sunday we built a new box for my brothers new truck(he unhooked in perfect condition 3 weeks ago) and by the time we installed it we realized the top magnet was cracked all the way around and shifted about a 1/8 inch, so the coil was grinding and sounded awful. We ghetto fixed his by beating the magnet back into place with a rubber mallet and siliconing it in place, now it sounds fine. The next day I went to diagnose my problem. what amp would be better for a 12" Bl with the BP Power? US Amps MD 1D (underrated at 1200w @ 1ohm) or US Amps MD 2D (underrated at 1500w @ 1ohm)... Also would the flatwind coil be worth the extra $20? And also what would be a good box size? I know it recommends anywhere from 1.8-2.5... but what would be about perfect?

I got a VW Golf and i want a nice system with some heavy bass, Shall i pick 2 Fi BTL or 2 Pioneer 3000? and what amp shall i get if im picking the 2 Fi BTL`s?

could a bl 18 with just cooling handle a saz 2000d? my buddies wantin to get the 2000d but he dont have flatwind so he mite get the 1500d.

looking for the box size for the 15" BL's? I ordered 2 on 2-13-09 and the specs on the web site don't give a port length? any ideas of a size? their going in a 05 ford escape with a vr2000d. I emailed nick but no answer.

Hi i will be buying 2 fully loaded bl 15's and i have a 2001 blazer extreme i plan on making the box around 8 cubic feet and about 32 hertz and a 200 amp alternator with 0 guage wire and i was wondering which amp to go with ehtier 2 of the Hifonics BXi 2008D or 1 Pioneer Premier PRS-D2000SPL so if some one could help me out or tell me which amp would go good. my price range for amps is about 400 to about 800 max so i would greatly apperiate it if some one could help me out thanks

... FINALLY WORKS! I rewired the LOC to the rear speaker wires past the factory amp instead behind the deck and it all works now! Apparently the radio puts out a signal no matter what, and the factory amp is what controls the volume. So that's why I was getting output at 0 volume. All I have to say is it sounds amazing! It gets the output and clarity I wanted and the 10 is loud, but beautifully crisp. Amazing products from the guys at FI.

I designed a box that is 10cuft@32hz its in a 2000 GMC Jimmy. Is that too much cuft?

I've noticed a trend of people getting recones done and buying speakers and are having hard time grasping how our speakers are built. Below is a youtube video tutorial of two top things that have been happening as of late. "Why does my speaker not have holes in it? Should I drill new holes in the aluminum??? " No!!! Watch this! "I just got a new sub or a recone done from you and it does not work!!! " Do this: 9 volt battery pop test how to if you do not have a digital volt ohm meter.

I am gonna be ordering a 12" BL soon and i can't decide what i should power it with. Any suggestions? What are you using to power it? Moneys not really an issue but i dont want to send "too" much. Maybe in the 400-500 range. I was thinking maybe going with Earthquake amps (recommended from a friend) but i dont really know. I know alot about subs, absolutely nothing about amps. Thanks, Tyler

I have a 12'' fi q with the bp option in a downfiring box 2.5 cu ft tuned to 32 hz. I have a hifonics bxi 1208d powering it. I am worried that i am clipping the signal. I had the radio turned up to 25 ( goes up to 62) and everything sounded good and crisp but when i turn it up to 50, it seems like the bass isnt as loud and not as crisp. Idk if i have things set right. Here are the places i have things set two: Subsonic: Three o'clock LPF: 1 o'clock Gain: 12 o clock Bass Eq: 12 o clock I know hifonic amps are known for clipping and are pretty cheap. I just need some advice on what this is. I dont wanna fry my baby.

For those that don't make it SMD Here it is. It's a D1 model, in series for the video. They are going in for a recone to change the ohms of the coil. I told my wife we were doing it, i guess she didn't know what to expect. You will hear I got busted. The lights in the house were dimming pretty bad. you can see it in the video. The dust cap was warm and the felt pads had burn marks from the tinsel leads.
