I went from 4 alpine type R 12"s in a sealed box with a Hifonics 2008d Now i have a 15" FI BL with a sundown SAZ-1500d in a ported box tuned to 32hz and it kicks alpines ass, no question. From 4 subs to 1 now its louder, clearer, and has more low end. VERY VERY VERY satisfied!!! thanks! My rear view mirror wont stop slappin, and my doors are all flexing not to mention the roof, quarter panels, and hatch.

There are a couple of sealed videos of the Qs on youtube but I'm looking for more if possible. I particularly want to hear what 2 12s sound like sealed. Thanks a lot if anyone can help

So this last weekend I came home for spring break. I have a 15" Q and my brother has a 12" q. Saturday night my sub quit playing and I was a little drunk so I didnt worry about it. On sunday we built a new box for my brothers new truck(he unhooked in perfect condition 3 weeks ago) and by the time we installed it we realized the top magnet was cracked all the way around and shifted about a 1/8 inch, so the coil was grinding and sounded awful. We ghetto fixed his by beating the magnet back into place with a rubber mallet and siliconing it in place, now it sounds fine. The next day I went to diagnose my problem. Alright so I have my BTL in my ported box (tuning is messed up I have to redo it I think) and I am powering it with a 1200 watt hifonics with chit 4 guage. Waiting on installing my batts, big 3, and 2 ought. I was playing hz tests and I was like fudge it its moving some air, lets see if i can do a hair trick. So I had this girl put her hair in my window and I rolled it up a till there was about 3 inches left. I played a 40hz tone, I STILL dont know what my tuning is but this gets pretty loud, and it was moving her hair! if installed properly..what would get off louder? 18 inch ssd with a hifonics 1200 or 12 inch bl with a hifonics 1600 i finally got a little bit of money to spend so i wanted another system. used to have a ssd 15 on a hifonics 1200..it sounded great!

i am running (2) 15"D2 Btl's in 6 cub. ft. @ 32hz right now. the amp i am using is a zx2500.1. what is a safe or optimal freq. to turn the amp to? is this something that is done by listening or is there a general rule of thumb. i am just noticing that the higher notes in almost all the songs i listen to, are almost not even audible. the lower notes are def there but what would correct this "problem?"

So I'm looking to get a 15" TC9 reconed by Fi right now, and possibly a Shocker Sig in the near future. I have sent a few emails to the recone address, but I got no response. Is there a better way to get this done? I would like to get this thing reconed ASAP, so any help at all would be appreciated.

Ok so ups delivered my 2 15" btl's today and needless to say I was anxious to put them in. So I used a box that FC designed for me but the cutout is too big. I put them in anyways and get it sop hooked up. Yo I played the first song and I couldn't believe how loud it was! The 2 subs were just as loud as my 4 15's that I had in my previous setup! I can't believe how loud it is! And I was talking about getting 2 18's! To say the least I am very satisfied! I have to keep the gain down because my lights were dimming and also because the subs are leaking a lot of air because of the cutout! Just to imagine that these subs will be louder is amazing! I was going to call Fi but damn they have no phone number listed . I have a 12" Q right now in a 2.58ft^3 @ 32Hz enclosure , built it for a smaller space . Now I have more room so I am steeping it up to 2 15" s . Already have my enclosure designed , 7.74ft^3 after displacements , tuned to 34Hz , 124in^2 port area . Going into a 1998 Acura Integra . Anyone know how much it costs? Or am I better off just buying new 2 15" s and selling the 1 year old 12" .

Any chance that enough of these have been done that you guys could send out a recone kit or would I have to send the motor in? I am not happy with the power handling offered by the TC Sounds top assembly.
