The Q wasn't what i expected maybe. It does hit low... but it's also missing in the 50-80hz range. I know it ain't a upper bass sub but I just bought it 1month ago and i don't want to try something else. I'm powering it with a hifonics 2006d at 1ohm so 1700 watt +/-. The box is 6.5 net tuned at 30hz atm. ssf set around 23-25hz and hpf around 80hz. I got id's ctx65cs in frontstage but i only cross them around 90hz.. otherwise my window rattle and it doesn't like the 250watt + im putting into them. I'm listening to rap mainly. The problems is that it miss a lof of the 50-80hz bass line and something that make it sound akward, even more since when i'm bumping it there's no w…

Will four eD nine.1s amps be enough power to push 4 BL 18s. Btw what is the minimum air space required ported per sub?

  4. I emailed you guys about getting a recone done for a older style 12" BTL sub. I needed a broken lead tinsel fixed and the dustcap replaced but Nick said that you guys were going to do a full recone anyways. Nick was emailing back for a couple of emails and then he just stopped without giving me a price quote or address to send the sub and how to pay for it. I have emailed every email associated with Fi already. Nick email me back please. my email is [email protected]. I don't know if your spam filter had put my email in the spam folder or what but I have not heard back from you since. I have checked my spam folder and inbox and no new emails from Fi. Thanks. Phi

I am waiting on a reply from Nick. I don't see to many people reconing an ssd. How much is a recone kit for an ssd. I need to change to D2's instead of my D1's. I picked up another Zapco Studio 500 and need 4ohm a woofer. Can it have the copper coils and or the flatwound coil on this go around with a stock motor? Is it a kit or just a cone? you know, does it come with glue and shims to locate the coil in the gap, thats sort of stuff. thanks

I have emailed fi many times about getting a recone and they would email me once or twice but never give me a price. I have a 15" BTL fully loaded with the 1 slug motor and need a recone quote for a 18" basket and recone shipped to 73110.

this will be my first time buying fi products. i have a 2004 gmc denali that i want to fill. im pretty much asking what would you choose between the 2? they will be seeing the same amount of power 3000 rms per btl or 1500 per bl plus whatever more my saz-3000 will put out. and yes i do have plenty of electrical to handle these i know the 8 bl's would have alot more cone area but would it be noticeable? what would you choose? any input is appreciated

  12. I have an older XXX that needs a recone. I sent an email a week or so ago to get paying details for a recone, but I haven't been able to get a hold of anyone. It's a 12 inch, and my zip is 33155. But I also have no idea how to ship it without it getting damaged, was wondering if I can just pay to have you ship a box + the wooden crate or however you guys pack it, since I have no idea how to pack this thing myself.

I went to a car audio place and they basically tried to discredit fi and say theres no way a sub of less than 600 can handle 5000 watts how does a fi Q w/ bp compare to a Re Mx and a MTX Thunder Square 750s

So I bought my Fi Q 15" a little over a year ago but due to a DUI its only gotten about 4 months if that of playing time. I just got my license back so i was excited to finally get to hear it again. After only a couple of days it shot out a large cylindrical metal piece through the dustcap. The dust cap is fractured but the the insides of the sub look fine(coils and whatever else i can see). I've never seen this happen before in person or online. I have it in about a 4 cubic foot box tuned to 32 hz. Its on a USAmps XT2000D and definately not recieving full power for the sub and the gains are turned down. I didn't change anything in the setup since i last drove it a year a…

I ordered a 10" BL this Saturday, but realized after reading some forums that I didn't need the extreme lead option.. I e-mailed the orders department like 20 min. after i placed the order, but have yet to get any response. That being said, I have already received tracking confirmation and they stated that the sub would be delivered this Friday..what can I do besides ordering another new sub? I will be using the sub daily, and dont want the tinsel slap or worn out spiders that this option is known for..anyone with some advice?

this is a fi comparison thread to mainstream subs i was thinking this would be a good idea for people who are coming from mainstream products (like me) to fi's line of products this will help alot of people make up there minds on which fi sub best suits them. im going to need lots of help on this (: FI SSD- ... The SSD Series of subwoofers is our all around daily sub. Double stack magnets with a heavily bumped T-yoke allow clearance for high excursion. Along with pair of heavy weaved progressive spiders, a multiplayer foam surround attached to a fiber impregnated kraft pulp cone helps keep things under control in high power applications. A 3

They told me to call u and find out if the sub was shipped out , i emailed you the tracking numbers. Tracking info. shows one pakage is delivered, while with the other, it still says billing information recieved.

I have a dilemma of which set-up to go with. I already have all the stuff, except batteries and maybe a high output alternator if I was to need one. I need the extra space in my trunk, 96 honda accord coupe, for battery/batteries/mid-range amp, and space for me to get to my spare tire. So I can only use about half the space for the box. I bought the two 12" SSD subs because it was a good deal but then right after I bought them, I also found a good deal on two 10" SSD subs. But here it is: Two 12" SSD subs, bp option, copper coils, D2, with an IA20.1 amp at .5 ohm in a minimal recommended box of about 3.5cu ft. tuned to 34hz. I would probably get a deka 9a31 and maybe a hi…

  24. I know this amp does not do rated power but I have ran it at half-ohm bridged before just fine but will it be enough to power two 15'' Q's sufficiently? I plan on using a 2.2 (before displacement) cubic foot per chamber sealed fully stuffed enclosure. Thanks Chris

I just got my 12" Fi Q. This is my first quality subwoofer, hooray! Just a quick question. On both sides of voice coil, there are + and - springs, total of 4. This is dual 2 ohm, wiring down to 1 ohm load. It is my understanding to do this, you run positive wire to positive, from one coil to the other, then negative to negative. But then, what? How does it hook up to the enclosure. Do I run the wire in parallel from one side of sub to other, then run a wire from one side into the enclosure? I looked for diagrams, but none were clear exactly how I run the wire from sub to enclosure. Thanks in advance.
