Anyone at Fi, I need to send back my 15" Q for repair. My brother wanted to help me when I was attaching it to the box and he slipped with the drill, poking a hole in the rubberish material between the paper cone and the gasket. I was wondering what repair costs would be for that? I no longer have the box it was shipped to me in, so what I will have to do is have Fi send me a box for it. If it is an option, I would also just like to have the box already pre-payed to ship to y'all and then y'all send it back to me, and I can pay the total for repair and the shipping both ways, whatever it would be. I was just curious if anyone had a High resolution image of the Fi symbol. I'm considering getting a hat made and i cant find a big enough picture of the Fi Logo. or if anyone knows where i can get a fitted Fi hat that's cool too thanks

I have 2 18 inch ssds dual 1 ohm with 2000 watts series parelell with the hifonics 2006d and when i turn it up i get a real strong glue smell. My gain is only just past half with the bass boost at 10 O' clock and i tried a couple different 1 ohm wiring diagrams, is it the smell of the box or are my coils burning?

Im new to the site, currently have 2 12" pioneer champ series pro running off a cpt1-3200d power acoustik amp. 0 gauge stinger wire with all pioneer 5way door speakers + pioneer 3200dvd head unit. I know im going to need to upgrade my alt. and buy an capacitor as well. Im lookin to buy either one 15btl or 18btl to throw in with these 12s or 2 15s to replace them. Just looking for any good ideas on what sub to get, not worried about the $ either so let me know! thanks

After some time being away and such I'm getting ready to order an Amp and a BL 15". I've been looking to buy a Kicker ZX1000.1 but I have yet to be able to understand the relation of ohms between amps and subs...I'm terrible at math. The amp does 1000W RMS at 2 ohms so does that mean I would want the 1 ohm option with the BL? --Thanks for any replies.

I've noticed a trend of people getting recones done and buying speakers and are having hard time grasping how our speakers are built. Below is a youtube video tutorial of two top things that have been happening as of late. "Why does my speaker not have holes in it? Should I drill new holes in the aluminum??? " No!!! Watch this! "I just got a new sub or a recone done from you and it does not work!!! " Do this: 9 volt battery pop test how to if you do not have a digital volt ohm meter.

My friend has two SI MAG 12's and the same amp as I do, my question is, which sub are the mags more comperable to in output, the BL or the BTL (Both fully loaded) So would I have to go with the 2 BTL's to be louder or would the BL's match the mags? Thanks for the help =]

i have a kicker zx1000.1 which is rated at 1258 watts at 2ohms. and i was wondering if this will be plenty of power for a daily setup with only the pole chamfer on the sub, o and i listen to rap 99% of the time, so im thinkin that this will be fine, and im also leaning a little more towards the spl side over sq im goin to bulid a box soon for it, it will be 4cu. ft. @ 32hz, dont know the exact dimensios but i will know soon thanks

Well, my brother purchased a kicker L7 12 about a year ago, and was powering it with a 1kw kenwood amp that really put out more like 3-400, and after selling him my bxi2006d he noticed that he kept hearing a slapping type sound. He pulled it out of the box and you could just smell the coil, and the sub was very hot to the touch. It wasn't the tinsels slapping or anything, it was something inside. He probably messed it up with that crappy old amp, so now he wants a new sub. With the hifonics amp I suggested a dual 2ohm BL with cooling, flatwind, and p chamfer options. Hey all. I'm upgrading my low-end from 2 12" Xplods and I've settled on 2 15" Fi Qs, with BP Power, pushed by an AQ2200D amp. I'm looking at putting them in a ported box, but I realize this box is going to be quite large (my trunk dims are 40" deep, 19" high, 48" wide). Fi recommends 2.8-4cuft so the box would need to be 6-8cuft right? I'm thinking about tuning it at 32Hz, from what I've heard from a lot of people with these subs. I listen to hip/hop and rap mostly, and I love songs that get low (like Gorilla Zoe or Young Jeezy songs for example). Is this a good tuning freq? I don't want to completely lose some of the "higher" bass notes but I want an extremely solid low…

Has it been tested to put this in a sealed box? My amp doesnt have SSF so I cant port it

I'm looking to try a new driver in my home theater and after hearing nothing but good stuff about Fi I think its time to give them a try. I am considring the Q15 or Q18. The enclosure is sealed with a net volume around 7 cubic feet. The amp is a Face F1200TS and I will run the sub off of one channel leaving the other channel free for a second sub in the near future. I have a dcx2496 in the chain between my Marantz 7002 and the Face amp. I am open to suggestions if anyone has an opinion of a different Fi driver to try.

What is better, and what is louder, an 18" BTL or Solo-x, if they were both at the maximun power they could handle?

I am gonna be ordering a 12" BL soon and i can't decide what i should power it with. Any suggestions? What are you using to power it? Moneys not really an issue but i dont want to send "too" much. Maybe in the 400-500 range. I was thinking maybe going with Earthquake amps (recommended from a friend) but i dont really know. I know alot about subs, absolutely nothing about amps. Thanks, Tyler
