I had my 12" dual 1 ohm Q reconed right before i sold my old car, and have decided against putting a system in my new car as i have a baby due in 8 weeks and need the trunk space. so it hasn't been used at all since the recone. what do u guys think i should sell it for? thanks anthony

I was going to call Fi but damn they have no phone number listed . I have a 12" Q right now in a 2.58ft^3 @ 32Hz enclosure , built it for a smaller space . Now I have more room so I am steeping it up to 2 15" s . Already have my enclosure designed , 7.74ft^3 after displacements , tuned to 34Hz , 124in^2 port area . Going into a 1998 Acura Integra . Anyone know how much it costs? Or am I better off just buying new 2 15" s and selling the 1 year old 12" .

hey everyone I am planning, on getting 2 12 inch fi btls n2s powered by two audio q 2200 amps. I am a begginer and was wondering if 180 amp alternator and 1 yellow top battery would be enough to power these two amps? Any help is highly appreciated

i had tried and tried to remove this dust cap on my other Q cuz i have one with a cracked dust cap but works fine and i have one that looks perfect but the tinsel lead is fried i wanna replace the cracked dc with the good one so when i send it in both are ready to roll when i gets it back.... i CANNOT for the life of me get it off its like freakin godzilla glued to the cone ....100% relentless swear to god any tips?

so my fi bl 18 is on the way along with my 2400watt amp,,,my cars alt only puts out 105 amps so ill be needing a 2nd battery...i dont wanna do the big 3 tom uch money so how can i hook up a battery??? -can i put the 2nd battery in my trunk??? -if so am i supposed to hook it up to the alt or do i just once in awhile recharge it??? -wtf?

Hi next week i'm starting my build in my trunk with a box for 2 12" SSD hooked to a zx2500.1 The box will be roughly 4.2 cube ft after displacement tuned to 33hz. I have a few questions will I need to brace the inside of the box? How can I brace it? any input is appreciated thx

I know more about the cutting. that is fine. But say I want to do a massive wall. how do I account for flex between the bed and the cab. I would bring it into the cab just an inch and baffle it inside the cab. will it be ok or will there be too much flex.This will be a FULL cut through. window and all. I hear the boot the fits between the cab and bed/shell is EXPENSIVE. how much are we talking? just an est. 200? or 1000?

my customer have 2 FI BL 15 on a 2.8 cubes each box tune @ 41hz using 2 4inch round port. each enclosure. we did a 148.4db on TL.the car was a toyota rav4. sub up port rear position. any idea how to gain it's db? i'll post pictures later.

Okay... Just ordered my 12" BTL fully loaded dual 1 ohm the other day, im GEEKED!! First question, i have a Hifonics BXI2610D amp, i wanna wire my sub to 1ohm to get the most power... correct? how do i do this? second, i have a stock battery and alt in an 02 cougar... do i absolutely HAVE to upgrade? Third, i bought a ported box off of a buddy, he says its 2.7ft^3, is this going to sound good with the amp and sub i have? By the way, im running 0 gauge wires and a wimpy 4 farad cap. I'm kindof a car audio newb you could say so any help would be greatly appreciated

Hey I know this is kind of a dumb question, but I dont know whether Fi is pronounced as the two letters F.I. or just or just as one word Fi. Which one is it?

I've been told the Subsonic filter is NOT always accurate, with some parts on amps made in bulk somewhere in china trying to cut costs, they can turn out to be less accurate with a subsonic filter resulting in a 20% variance. I guess what im asking is besides looking at the Hz marking alongside the subsonic filter knob, how else can a person figure out what Hz the filter is really set up to. I don't want to set up my filter based on the knob markings thinking its filtering everything below 31 hz when it really is set up to filter below 28 hz. So is there another way to set up the subsonic filter without assuming the standard markings on the knob are accurate. Thx 4 readi…

I've seen a few different ways to wire a DVC sub in parallel. but which way is right? I was wondering how a Fi Q12" sub would perform in a 4.2ft^3 enclosure tuned at 21hz? I would be giving 2 of them each in their own 4.2ft^3 enclosures 1000 watts each from a crown XLS2500 amplifier. Would this perform well or are their better sub options? They would have a subsonic filter at 21hz and then a LP at 80hz. My surround speakers can easily keep up with almost any sub combination out there considering I spent about $4,000 on DIY towers and DIY center channel alone... I hope this being a car audio forum it doesnt bother you guys me asking about home audio... I know a lot of guys using car subs for home theatre.

Hi there, I have a small sealed enclosure with a Diamon Audio D3 sub that I want to upgrade, the box is around .95cf sealed, 22" long x 13" wide x 8" deep, I think its .5"mdf How would a SSD12 sub work in this enclosure getting around 600RMS from an alpine amp on a center console of a Ram Quad Cab? In my search for some subs I've been pointed to this forum. I'm looking to replace a set of 12'' Type-R's. The Type-R's were a decent SPL sub but I'm looking more for SQ. I'm hoping to achieve the SQ and SPL same as, or close to a W7. I listen to 50/50 rap/rock. As of now my plan is...... 2 12" Q Series 2ohm Box & Amp: 2 Alpine MRD-M1005's (each 1000x1 at 2ohm) Sealed rectangular Box 1.3 cuft per sub 1999 4 door Tahoe. behind the second row, subs facing downwards Also... I have no idea what the BP does. Whats recommended RMS with that option. Thanks for the help Alex
