Ok heres the deal. I have a 04 Crown Vic, front stage only no rear fill and the rear speakers removed from the deck. I have been seriously looking into getting a pair of Q 15s for the last few months but a few things have come up with the family that has side tracked me but Im on point now. I have a pair of Orion 1200d for power but heres my question. I see the new options for the Qs and was considering selling my Orions and picking up a Hifonics XX Thor. I also considered a pair of fully loaded BL 15s with the power I have but I just dont know. I am coming from a background of mainly sealed boxes and this would be my first in my own install. I am going to purchase a 15" Fi BL... mobileman is going to make me an enclosure roughly 3.8ft3 tuned at 30hz. i am going to power it with a cadence txa1000d which puts out 1000watts at 13.8 volts. what options should i get for this subwoofer? i want it to be as loud as possible with the tuning and amp i have. i honestly don't know what the options even mean.... P chmafer, cooling, flatwind, etc... etc... could someone explain the options to me? thanks.

hey guys this is a great and informative site!. I have a 2003 mercury Grand marquis stock everything when it comes to electrical, system wise i have 2 15" kicker cvr's in a sealed box powered by a 1400.1d autotek amp, and truth be told i want to upgrade my subs. I was looking at the FI selection but cant figure out wich one best suits me i mostly listen to hip-hop and was wondering wich Fi sub would be louder then the cvr's i was thinking maybe a 1 15" in a ported box or maybe 1 12"? So it appears I may have made my box a touch to large and now im concerned about my sub hitting the back of my seat. I originally intended to recess the sub .75inches in a 1.5 inch thick ring. Not being familiar with the metric system I wasn't aware until about a hour ago of how big 27 mm Xmax was. Unless im mistaken that means the subs cone will have a hair over 2 inches of travel from peak to peak before getting into distortion. My concern lies with forward movement. I figured for .75 inches of forward movement, to find out now after the box is being constructed by me ( out of fiberglass ), that I didn't figure right. SO, how accurate is the 27mm measurment? Hey FI... I am looking to order a recone kit for my RE SX 12, and I have a couple questions... How long does it take to make/ship a Dual 1 ohm recone kit with a red FI logo? Does it matter what coils are in it right now, because I don't know what they are, neither of them are any good so I can't test them? Thank you

Hi Fi...I have (2)Audiomobile Mass series motor structures. no frames or top parts, just the magnet strutures. They are(were) 3inch underhung dvcs. Can they be rebuilt at all? They don't have to be dvcs. I would actually prefer single 4 or single 3. They need whole new top assemblies and softparts. Can this be done...ballpark cost for 15's. Thanks for any info.

i have kept in contact with FI about my sub and so far i have been receiving prompt emails. the last email i sent was about 2 and a haf weeks ago, and was told they were waiting on the steel but they should have received it within 2 days. i figured since i ordered a shirt and some decals that may be the issue? i decided to post on here incase there are other users still waiting. please dont take this as a bad review towards your customer service because i am content with the prompt email responses. i just like keeping in touch, so i wont end up waiting 10 months like other users due to miscommunication

I'm kinda a noob when it comes to all the technical stuff about subwoofers, so I'm looking for some help. I have a 96 Lexus ES300 and I want to put in a 15" Fi BL. The trunk is huge, but I think one should be enough for me since I would just be using it for daily use. After looking around on these forums, I think I will try to get a Sundown SAE-1200D or a SAZ-1500D. Can someone please tell me exactly what else would be needed to run this setup?? (i.e. best enclosure, wiring??) - I listen to mainly rap as well as some rock. Thanks

Well my birthday came and I was pumped to be getting all my goodies. My girlfriend was sad as she had ordered something for me, only for it not to arrive in time. Well today package 1 of 2 arrived. A sweet 15" BTL loaded. I took some pics. All the pics taken either mine or otherwise really dont give these subs credit. MASSIVE!!

It's been a few months since Scott posted about the 10" spiders. Are they here yet? I have a 12" Eclipse basket with a variation of the TC9 motor and a pair of 15" Lightning Audio/TC-3000 baskets with 3HP neo motors that need recone kits. Also, since these are not the standard baskets that Fi uses, will I have to send in the subs for the recones or can a kit be built? -Robert

Hi everyone ... I am confuse to decide which better and suit to my system. I used HAT Legatia 3way, and now consider to used Fi or AA product. Which better between Fi Q 12" vs AA Havoc 12" with sealed box for SQ competition ??? I will drive it by Genesis dual mono extreem bridge @ 4ohm. Is it true to compared Q with Havoc ??? or Q should compared with Chaos series or another ??? is Havoc for SQ like Q series ??? Can Havoc play SPL also ??? I also want to build fun SPL car here. For the msrp under USD $400.00 which AA's product would be better for fun / daily used SPL ??? Arsenal or Chaos series ??? Thanks for help me.....

I spoke with a delivery driver with UPS today. He told me that internet sales have increased by one billion dollars in the last couple weeks. He also told me that due to the increase of shipments from online purchases to expect shipping delays. In some neighborhoods you may see drivers delivering packages on golf carts. Everyone buying their christmas gifts early offline has increased shipments being handled substantially. Now you may get your items on time with no delay, but to expect them anyway because most shipments will be late due to the increase of volume in shipments. Now it will take even longer to get my fantastic Fi subwoofers I cant wait for them to get here…

Screwdriver slipped and I poked a medium sized hole in the rubber surrond. I have it plugged up with silicone right now, but I was wondering how much it would cost to fix if I shipped it back to you guys. It's a 12" SSD. Thanks.

Okay everyone I am going to order later this week and I need to make sure I am doing everything right. This is my first system. I mostly listen to rap but I like rock too. Its going in a '97 tercel. I'm going to get the dual 2ohm ssd 15", and I'm gonna have it running at 1000wattsRMS@1ohm off of a Hifonics Txi1008D. Which should I get the flatwind or copper coil? I'll be running 8GA. And the box I'm going for is 3.6cuft after port and displacement. Port is tuned @ 33hz. I have 40 inches of square port. Its 34"W/17.5"H/16"D And just to make sure I did a picture on paint, here ya go. Am I ready to order?

last sunday at a comp hosted by doug stockton of sonicfx, i metered my car with 2 btl 15s loaded and 2 orion 2500d. db drag i only got 147.9 (not too happy with that score) bassrace i got it up to 147.2 i was happy with my bassrace score. the thing that was amazing was the subs never lost its sq when i was hitting 147.2 playing music. it sounded clean and didn't lose control. very amazing subs.

got my FI bl 18" metered today @ 141.1 db on music with a single stock battery. i dropped down to about 137.0 db within 10-15 secs. will a second battery give me a lesser or greater then a 141.1 db? going to fix box as well. (baffle,bracing, rounding off, ect.)

I am looking at getting 2 Fi ssd 12's. i currently have an audiopipe amp that pushes 1500 rms @ 1 ohm. would this amp work for my new subs? and if so should i get the dual 1 ohm or the dual 2 ohm?

just wanted to share the news that we had a NSPL 3x show on easter and the fi btl-18's was the loudest of the show and set a new world record in 1200 -2400 amp draw class with a 161.8 db's.that was with 12000 to 14000 watts total power.i am very happy with my 4 btl's.as stated they are over 1 db louder than my dd 9515 with same coils (d.7) and same amps and power.awesome subs.scott sent u pic a while back,already gave detail of my setup in 91 astro van and now 2 more wr.can i get a shirt now.i am a big guy 4 or 5x please.jeff

Does anyone know if fi gives discounts on bulk order I need 6 more 18 bls to finish my build and im on a budget right like whos not. Subs are just 1/5 of my cost and tax time Here so I figure they are pretty busy since I havent recieve an email back from them.
