I am installing a 2-way active + sub system in a 2007 Civic sedan. Power will be provided by a single 5 channel Kicker ZX700.5 (sub channel is rated at 280 @4ohm / 420 @ 2ohm - under rated per reviews and birth sheets). Head unit is 880PRS. I certainly have enough power to run a X12, but is this even remotely viable for an SSD in a sealed enclosure? As I would like to stick with 5ch amp, my pother choice is a Polk Audio PA1100.5 which is 1ohm stable and can produce 600 watts (not sure about actual output on this model). Keep in mind my goals are to have better than stock sound and my musical tasted run from jazz, to classic rock, punk, salsa, electronic, hip hop, etc. I …

Sooooo, I was asked by a friend who is about to order some BLs to ask on here. He is gettin the fully loaded BLs and wants to know if they can take 2k watts daily???? The longest he blares his system for at a given time is about 30min, but his current setup is crap so i doubt it will be full crank with BLs.

Yesterday i received the amp wiring kit and the 10ft of power cable for the "Big 3". Today i received the 25 ft of speaker wire and the headunit. The sub and amp should be coming in shortly and then ill be installing it... so now i gotta decide quickly on my box ideas. I have decided to get a sealed box... i guess about 2.6 cu.ft. there is only one thing left to decide --- which way the sub faces and where to put the amp... in terms of sub direction/placement, i was thinking of doing something like like having the box in the trunk and when i open that armrest thing the sub will be facing towards the cabin....i was thinkn like when u opened the trunk itd be like sealed …

It's been a few months since Scott posted about the 10" spiders. Are they here yet? I have a 12" Eclipse basket with a variation of the TC9 motor and a pair of 15" Lightning Audio/TC-3000 baskets with 3HP neo motors that need recone kits. Also, since these are not the standard baskets that Fi uses, will I have to send in the subs for the recones or can a kit be built? -Robert

Well I got my 15Q today and man am i impressed just by the looks of it, cant wait to get it in my car and see what it does, anyways have a few questions. Should i have recieved a bill or invoice of some type in case it ever needs to be returned? All that was in the box was the sub a stick and a FI card, also is there a break in period on the sub its pretty stiff. i know not to pout it in and just crank it up all the way but was wondering what other people thought, thanks

So I am trying to decide between either a Q or a BL. I will be picking up either a 12 or a 15, depending on what kind of car I finally decide to get (is it sad that size of the trunk to fit a bigger box is actually a big factor in my decision?). So I am looking for something clean, but powerful. I listen mostly to rap, but I like to mix it up with some rock every now and again. One of the big problems I have with my current setup is that my subs can't seem to keep up with a quick bass line. So I am looking for something quick, yet powerful enough to feed my need. Now I understand the BL will get louder than the Q but at the loss of SQ. How much of a loss are we talking ab…

I got my new woofers today. They are two Black Fiday 12's. I went to a shop nearby and had them build me a sealed box. It is one cubic foot per woofer, and its separate chambers. Problem is I didnt think about the wiring when I had them build it. So there is terminals on each side of the box for each woofer, and since its separate chambers it makes wiring difficult. So how would i wire the woofers in a series down to 1ohm having to use the two terminals.

hi Guys, I havent posted here in a while, but i am in need of some guidance. I just ordered 3 hifonics BX1606d's or whatever the numbers are.... Now i have to order some subs, I can't decide between Q's and BL's. I have no idea what all the options are for on the bl's and if someone could explain all of them that would be awesome. I was planning on putting 1 of the hifonics on each, and i also need some advice on box size, tuning etc. SQ is not really a concern of mine, and i have made all the electrical upgrades to the car so everything will work with the power. The Truck is a 2001 GMC Sierra EXT cab, similar to the red one with the 4 15" SSD's in it. My other quest…

I got a 350Z recently and I'll be redoing the entire sound system using mostly parts I had from prior systems that I took apart years ago. Long story short I'll be building a fiberglass corner box, sealed, about 0.5 cuft and I can put a 10" sub in there. The FiQ10 seems to fit the bill with the limited space I have and the amp I have laying around (Directed 1100d, used it to power an RE SX15 that I need to sell still) So I'm guessing the Q10 with BP Power just to be safe and I should be good, right? Front stage is going to be CDT M6i components (M6 mids, DRT26 silk tweets, EX-560 crossover i *THINK*) in door pods that I'm gonna make, tweets probably in stock location., po…

I was just curious as to why it takes so long. Ive been waiting 6 weeks so far on one, email, 4 weeks on another, and 3 weeks on my last email. I've been trying to get information before I place my order but I'm pretty reluctant to order now with NO customer service. Is there no phone number?
