hey fi, i ordered a sub (bl 15) april 19th and still hav'nt received it. something's gotta be up with the shipping company, i've ordered stuff from china that only took 3 weeks. let me know what's up when you find out. thx -phil

just want opinions what do most of you guys use? I have them wired with 12 guage right now. Was wondering if it would really make any differance if i used 10 or 8 guage or would the 12 be fine?

Hey guys, Im brand new to this forum and hope to be around here for awhile. Now im getting a car very soon and i love sound! So now i need your advice. I dont want to spend as much as the BTL and dont need THAT much power and the amps would cost more. So i would really love to just get the SSD if i knew there wasnt a huge difference between it then the BL. I dont want the Q as there the same price as the BL.. Whats up Everyone, Im new to this site, and hope to gain alot of knowledge from you all. I have a 2004 Escalde, and in trying to decide if i should go with 8 BTL 12s or 4 BTL 15s. I have two Soundstream 10000D amps, 8 kinetick 2400 batts, and a 2nd alternator for the additional batteries. I was running the solo x 18 but im ready to add more cone area and go for a different sound as well as move some serious air. Im not trying to build a wall tho. Ive been doing some reading and im hoping that these woofers will give me what i want. Any suggestions would be great appreciated..thanks in advance. G

I just ordered the 15" Q along with the Sundown 1000 amp. I have had the Ascendant Audio Atlas 15 for the longest time. I thought to myself, maybe it's time to move on, so I did. Saw the awesome deal on this site for the amp, jumped on that. I did have one question, I was looking at getting some 0 gauge wire. Looking at KnuKoncepts wire. I just need to figure out the fuse size. What size should I get? I was leaning towards like 150~200A Thanks Sunny

my customer have 2 FI BL 15 on a 2.8 cubes each box tune @ 41hz using 2 4inch round port. each enclosure. we did a 148.4db on TL.the car was a toyota rav4. sub up port rear position. any idea how to gain it's db? i'll post pictures later.

Can a fully loaded BL (cooling, flatwind coil, p chamfer) take a sundown 1500d easily?

well my recones from Fi came and they were supposed to be dual 2s....so i could run my ab 500.1 at .5ohm....but the coils read 1.5....which means i have to run my amp at .35.....not very good..... just curious as to why they arent actual dual 2s

Ok, this is gonna probably be a stupid question. I just got my Fi Q 15, it's running in a 3.6cu ft box tuned to 32hz. I set my gains on my sundown 1500 to 31.6v with a 50hz test tone. I get alot of output on rap and bass tracks, but on music like Dave Matthews or John Mayer, or even Stone Temple Pilots, you really hear no bass and the sub is barely moving. I know I have a little air leak around the bottom of the gasket but I dont think that it would make a difference. I have the sub crossed at the deck at 63hz with a 18db slope. No bass boost at the amp. I really would like to know why I dont get much output. I'm happy with it on rap and bass tracks. I move my back wall a…

so i noticed last week that my lows were not making my heart beat off tune... i thought perhaps i am just getting used to my subs and it was time to upgread today me and my sister went to the store, i was on the way back and i turned it up.. and the low end was there.. but not like it used to be.. to i whipped in behind a big box store and poped my trunk.. and what did i see my subs jumping out of the box at me! i broke, a buncha screws... and there were a buncha screws that pulled out of the wood. its maybe time to build a new box. im very glad that the cone had the tensil pad otherwise im sure it would have rubbed thru no sprider crackage no other sign …

Has it been tested to put this in a sealed box? My amp doesnt have SSF so I cant port it

Few questions before I go ordering my 15 BL .5ohm with options. 1. Will ordering online yield prompt service or should I contact directly? 2. What is the current wait time. I want to know before I order. Not worried about the overall time but if it's a month after expected build time then that will be unacceptable. 3. Which shipping company do you guys use if not UPS? Hello i took my btl 18 out of the box today just to change wire size and when i looked at the spider it had like4 small cracks on it what could cause this??? i use to own a bl 15 and the spider got cracked too. i was wonderig if this is a manufacture fault cause the spider is so stiff?? i added some goop it glue to each crack just to keep if from getting all messed up..

car is a 02 cadillac deville, 1 15 d1 btl on strapped saz1500ds, subsonic all the way down to like 15, gain at a little lower than half. box is a chambered t line built by rich which i think is in the neighborhood if 30-36 hz tuning. i have a EQ with 8v preouts, HU is a max675vd. i think i need some guidance to set amps before i order a recone or try to replace the lead itself. volume on the hu 27 out 33... but the volume on the EQ is almost all the way up.

Ok i am obviously looking into a FI subwoofer but am confused and having difficulty choosing which one i should get. I heard the BL has more output but the Q hits lower. I want to push my sub at around 1000 wrms. I have a pontiac grand prix and want something that is gonna rumble and turn heads but be able to put out power. The main thing i want to do is put my friends to shame who think their 10" audiobahn is the stuff. Please help me decided. I need opinions. Thanks !!

My other question is: i have read one place to get the hixmcoil only on spl series, then another place said put it on the daily option. i bought a 15 btl with cooling, daily, hixmcoil, dual 1 ohm, and induct ring, with universal option. going into single 15 probox approx. 3.5 cu.ft. after displacement (is anybody using this prefab box). i will be powered by an audiobahn a2300hct amplifier 2400 watts rms. im going to hook up 2 15s to this eventually. depending on how 1 absorbs the power. i am als…
