Alright, while i sit here waiting for my order to arrive for (1) 18" BTL D2, i decide to browse craigslist.. I run into another 18" BTL D2 which looks to be in good condition.. $380.. now im really confused. lol. I haven't had the box built maybe i should just go with 2 instead of 1? The current amp i have is a sundown saz1500 .. which would be fine with 1 btl but i dont think its gonna cut it with 2 of them.. so my options IF i decide to buy this sub... buy another saz1500 and run them separately @ 1 ohm each... Strap the 2 1500's together and run them @ 2 ohms together.... I would love to sell my 1500 and buy a saz3500 but that's out of the budget right now. Doing this …

i got a re mt motor that has a shifted top plate. can i send it to you guys to align it, and on top of that, have you guys recone it back to specs? i already got a 12 spoke basket and ill be willing to send that in for minor but minor cleaning. thanks

Finally after a few weeks of telling myself to buy it, I just did. I'm already way too anxious for this sub. It's going to be quite different from my last sub stage which was 4RE8's in a 6th order bandpass. Im going to be running this one at 2ohms off of an md2d. Right now I'm looking at running it a ported box of 4cuft at ~28 hz. Any other sugggestions? -Justin

I am wanting to replace my L7 10" in my 23ft Malibu boat. I have been running the L7 in a small sealed enclosure for most of the summer and been relatively happy. However I have been wanting more. I replaced the sealed box with a 1.6 cu slot ported box and gained a bit, but still I am wanting more. Issue in the boat is no cabin gain obviously and limited space for an enclosure. So this brings me to my question. Which 12" sub in the Fi lineup would be a good contender in the wide open environment that is a boat? I would like to keep the power requirements realistic. My current sub is powered off a MMATS 600.1 just for reference. Thanks for any advice.

Hey Scott, Are the specs the same on my subwoofer, power handling wise? Is it still 1000 rms or is it more now? I'm trying to figure out the right voltage so I can set the gains on my amp with my DMM. Oh and the shirt is awesome, thanks alot for the shirt and the stickers.

ok i see all these people talkin about how they wire their stuff at .5 ohms. how does that work? i mean like on amps, the ohms are usually 4, 2, n 1. well im askin this because right now i got 1 dvc ssd 12" (bp n flatwound) with a hifonics amp powering 1200rms watts at 1ohm. i was thinking of getting another ssd, so that mean i would get an amp to power 2400rms watts. i looked at some of the wiring configurations on kicker n 12voltz website n it shows that i can only have them at 2 ohms or .5 ohms. at 2 ohms the amp i wanna get is kinda really outta the way money wise because at 1ohm it is a lot more than wat i need. so yea im just wondering how i could achieve the .5 ohm…

I have a pair of older (boob cone) RE XXX 15s quad 1.7 coils. I would like to reuse the motors on a pair of 18s and would like to know the cost. I have E-mailed FI twice about this, once on feb 27 and again a week ago on may 7th with no response so I am guessing they are not making it through for some reason. I have 2 18 inch BL's walled off.... is the motor structure strong enough to demagnetize credit cards and swipe cards? This has twice now and I am trying to figure out what the hell is screwing up my work swipe card and dept card.

Dose Fi still make the 08 models or do they only make the 09 models now. Cause i want to get another 15 and i have a 08 model that means i would have to sell the one i have and buy two 09 models. I recently had a system set up in my xterra and i had purchased a dual 2ohm Fi Q 10" to be run by a cadence iA7 amp. The box was built to be stealth in my xterra and is a sealed and i was told built to house about 0.4cubic feet. I will have a stock car (130a alt., stock battery, big 3 done) and plan to run 1 15" SSD w/ BP power off a SAZ-1500D. Question is, do I buy the dual 1 ohm sub wired at 2 ohms, or get the dual 2 ohm sub wired at 1ohm? Sundown.com rates the 1500d @800rms at 2ohms... Which would be better? Wiring @ 2ohms would have less voltage drop correct? But wouldn't the amp be working harder ie. the gain would have to be much higher when running @ 2ohms? If I ran it @ 1ohm I could keep the gain really low so I'm thinking that this would be better for the amp. Any Thoughts?

WOOT! I think my X series are finally broken in and I have them tuned just right, I am now capable of 135+ db in IB with 300 "rated watts" off of my Fosgate Power 1000 at 4 ohms. I don't have a Term Lab available but I think I am doing pretty darn good on my little handheld SPL meter! Thanks Fi!

I just ordered a sub and im pumped at how much it will pump. I ordered a 10"Q, Dual 1Ohm, Burgandy Dustcap to match my car and i cant wait to install it.
