Sooo...Didn't realize that this is recommended as a minimum(not sure why its not included then) and I would have gladly paid the 10 bucks to add this.... But I didn't know.. Anyways, What do I have to worry about without this?

I am new to the car audio scene, and I would like to get the best bang for my buck, but I also want to "go big". I Have never seen an 18" subwoofer box before let alone an 18" subwoofer irl. I know they are pretty big, I want to know the standard ported box recommendations for an SSD 18, and if that box will fit in my 1990 jeep YJ with the back seats out. Help from you experienced set of guys would be very greatly appreciated!

So I had an 18" SSD in my jeep and it was pretty darn loud. I recently took it out because of some water damage to its box and now I'm not driving the jeep anymore. Instead I'm driving a smaller ford focus. I'm highly doubting i could fit the SSD into the ford focus, so I was thinking maybe a pair of 12s. Compared to the SSD, how does the X sound ? I'm mainly talking SPL here, cause I'm sure the X still has great SQ. And i know, dependent on box etc, blah blah. I'm talking straight up though. Will it seem like a major downgrade in SPL ?

  4. just wondering if anyone is running a lot of power to their ssd's? and by a lot i mean 1000 watts or more......if so, how much power were/are you running to them and how do the subs take it? Just wondering cuz I've been having some financial issues and may not be able to do the monster system i planned to do this season.....I'd like to try and do the 149 class with 4 x 15in SSD's without a wall...

Many people have been raising the question and not believing that we make our shirts and stickers in house...so here is some pics of our screen/print shop 4 screen station that I'm making some new screens and stuff for right now for new shirt designs... Two single screen stations that we use for the back and front logo's on some shirts/hoodies Other single screen station.. All of our vinyl racks that logos are cut out of! Granite slabs to work the stickers out on and apply logos Our pad printer... Last not least...our good friend RUCKUS! www.causingaruckus.com

ok..... so i have 2 15" Fi BTLs in a 2006 maxima.....AB 500.1 for power....my electrical system has a 200A Alt, 2 2400's and a 1400 kinetik under the hood... i recently put in an alpine 9887 and since then my output went WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYy down. i readjusted the gains just now with a voltmeter, around 70V.....and it barely hits, ive got the setting on the HU MX 3...sub level 15 eq on the low bands +6 and it barely hits.... i checked the ohms with the DMM by turning off car and putting it on the speaker wire to amp....it showed .8-1....... really, my old setup with 2 12" mags + sundown 1500 hit harder then this. its like playing stock subs......any ideas what is wrong here?…

Got my 12" Q in today. As I was admiring its' beauty, I noticed that it had 3 red terminals and 1 black. Shouldn't there be 2 Black (-) and 2 Red (+)? May be a dumb question, but this should have no affect on playability should it?

  16. 18" SP4 mounting depth- 11.75" What is the diameter of the motor with rubber boot? What is the height of the motor from the bottom to the top where the basket attaches? What is the height from the floor to when you reach the bottom of the push terminals? How long are the push terminals? And finally- what is the height from the back of the mounting ring to the top of the motor? I need these measurements so i can begin drawing out the next massive build to fit properly.

Hey guys, I've been lurking these forums for a few days now and I guess its about time to post. I just got a brand new mazda 3 hatchback and I'm looking to upgrade the stock sound system with a sub and amp. My budget for an amp and sub is gonna be about $500 but I can stretch it to $600 if absolutely necessary. I've been reading the forums and am currently leaning towards running either a 10" or 12" Fi Q in a sealed box in order to save trunk space. I listen mainly to rap and hip hop but I also listen to some rock like radiohead, chili peppers, and rage against the machine. Basically my goals are to get a good SQ type sub that will add a good low end sound to rock s…

Scott, I know you have been sick and really really busy trying to get caught up. Just to let everyone know I am not starting this topic to bust your balls or anything. I just need to get in touch with you. I would like for it to be over the phone so I can explore my options here for recones of BTL 18's but I would like a custom recone for my application. My e-mail is [email protected] if that is possible please let me know.... Thanks, Brock

Hey guys, i need help with a box design and unfortunately im strapped on time. If someone could help me out with some plans with these specs i would be greatly in debt. Box is for 2 12's ( .15 displacement per) tuned to 32hz - slot port centered on box double baffle 3.6 cubic ft total 36w x 16h x ??d I need the width and height to stay at 36 and 16. I tried using subwoofertools.com but the program wouldn't give me 36x16x?? but rather 32.5 x 16 x 23.5 or something. Once again if someone could help it would be greatly appreciated.
