the search function doesn't like it when i search for anything about the Q's and i searched backa couple pages and didn't find what i was looking for. anyways, i'm considering upgrading to a second Q. and i have 2 questions. i would rather not half to upgrade my alt, seeing as i just got a brand new stock alt put in 2 days ago cause my old one completely went out. and i can't return it now that it's in.. (and i don'th ave money now.) so i want to know if my current SAE will be enough for 2 Fi Q's? and i know it'll power them, and probably be just fine. but what i'm asking is will it be worth upgrading to a 1500? i would go 2000 but i'd rather not have to upgrade my electr…

Okay just got this Re XXX 06. Wednesday. Its not even broken in yet. I thaught I wanted sq but i cant tell the difference. so I was wanting to maybe trade. Fi fully loaded btl, with the 3rd magnet and hixmx coil, 12 or 15. Or two Fi Q 12s. Just feeling not sure yet.

This may not be directly about an Fi product but i didnt know where else to go to. Hope you guys dont mind...but i was thinking about upgarding to a better amp. I currently have an hifonics bxi1208 powering my 12'' Fi Q with Bp. I was thinking about an audioque 1200d. Would this amp be that much better? All my electrical is stock. My alt is a 130 amp. i was thinking of getting a BTL n2 15'', an ported box from this website: http://www.klausaudi...oofer-boxes.php , im not sure what amp im getting but something like a 2000W-2200W, then im getting new battery, big 3, and a high output alternator (250 amps), also im currently looking for new navigational system and speakers. i have a 2005 cadillac escalade esv so i got plenty of room. i was just wondering if anyone has any good ideas for the amp and speak system. i just need some decent speakers and amp. also what would you recommend for box volume?

just wanted to say thanks again to scott and FI for there awesome customer services. last year i blew 2 btl's 18's 2 weeks before NSPL finals,call fi and ordered 2 recones and i got them less than 10 days.made the finals and won.i blew the subs from bad rca's. so it was not there fault but mines.awsome subs.they play like a timex.they take a beating and keep on ticking. now i went to a show2 weeks ago and opps rca pull out so i blew 2 subs again.again my fault.same subs too.the other subs are still strong. well with only 2 of 4 subs i still did over a 162 db'.so i was ok,but now i need subs for the NSPL finals and no cash. after i came up with some cash i called scott a…

Hes going to be running an orion 2500d. We hooked it up to mine tonight just after we got done and are going to have to use alot of althread, this thing flexx's like a mother. Hey whats going on SSA. I have made a couple of posts and I have learned a great deal of things on here. I have a long way to go and I know someone can help me get there. I am looking for 3 18" Fi Bl's to buy or trade for some things. I am just curious of what will pop up. I do not want the D2's or Stock Bl's. I had an accident with my sx15 with dual 2's. And want a price quote for a recone. I'm not sure why but in my particular install the sx15 was .5 dbs louder than a FI Audio Bl15 with p chamfer, dual 2's, daily, and custom coils. So what I am wondering is if I buy the recones from you all can I be sure that it will still be as loud as the original SX or louder? If so how much for the recones and how long will it take to receive them? Thanks in advance for any help.

Ok got the cut out.. Now I need to know how the hell to install this thing. The rubber surround comes off(the part with the holes on top and bottom...So i pulled on it...and theres no holes through the basket..I dont want to go drilling through the sub so im wondering whats going on...

I want to purchase 2 of the Q18's for an attic mounted IB line array in my home theater. I am a member of the "IB cult" and AVS forums and I understand you guys can do some custom mods on these to gear them specifically for IB installations. I will be running them on a Behringer EP2500 amp and using the DSP1124p feeback destroyer pro. For 2 of these in an array config, what ohm rating, voice coil type, and wiring config would you guys suggest I use? And still haven't received it back. I have e-mailed several times over the past few months and not gotten any response. it was a 15" Kicker L7..I contacted Fi and they said they could take try and take care of it. Well they took care of it, but said they had a problem finding an old style dust cap for it. I understood it may not be the exact same before I sent it off. I have an 2001 Cadillac Deville. I have a Rockford Fosgate T4001bd and am looking for subs. I have been really looking at the Fi Btl's and the RE MT's but not exactly sure what size i can get do to box size would really like to 18 as im trying to be as loud as possible and have heard good things about the 18" fi subs but not sure if the box would have tto be too big after looking at some oof meades builds but maybe some of you who have installed some setups like this could help. Hi there, I have a small sealed enclosure with a Diamon Audio D3 sub that I want to upgrade, the box is around .95cf sealed, 22" long x 13" wide x 8" deep, I think its .5"mdf How would a SSD12 sub work in this enclosure getting around 600RMS from an alpine amp on a center console of a Ram Quad Cab? Since copper coils are now standard on the SSD line, I was wondering if the flatwind voice coils are also copper?

Getting used to the BLs... so got a ?... well first off the rear deck is cut out in the center already to allow more air into the car (rear seat's don't fold down). When I had 12s I had a box design with the port facing up but put in the old box with port facing foward and it was louder that way. But with that design there was ~ 4" gap between the port and the cutout.. If I designed a new box that had say aeros coming out right to the rear deck, or just the port designed to fit flush in the rear deck think it would get louder? But I've been told the issue was I have to completly seal off the trunk from the car to make it work.... any input is apprecited.. thank you .

Ok I got my X's in and will be installing them within the next couple of days. I will be ruinning them off of the sub channel of a 25 to Life Power 1000 rated for 300w Rms at 4ohm and 800w Rms at 1ohm. Right now I have a pair of ED 12o.14's running at 2 ohm (rating of the amp is 600w Rms at 2 ohm) With the ED's the subs seem to be a little over powering and I was wondering how they will do with the 300w for the pair. I know that most of you will say "try it and find out" but I want to know if anyone else has already tried it. Thanks all! David
