General Fi

Ok I got my X's in and will be installing them within the next couple of days. I will be ruinning them off of the sub channel of a 25 to Life Power 1000 rated for 300w Rms at 4ohm and 800w Rms at 1ohm. Right now I have a pair of ED 12o.14's running at 2 ohm (rating of the amp is 600w Rms at 2 ohm) With the ED's the subs seem to be a little over powering and I was wondering how they will do with the 300w for the pair. I know that most of you will say "try it and find out" but I want to know if anyone else has already tried it. Thanks all! David

I ordered a BL15 today with all the options and a green dust cap. I'm going to order 1/0 wire as mine are 4 gauge right now. I have a ZX1000.1 for the sub. I have a guy that's going to help with building a custom fiberglass ported box. I have a '05 Mercury Mariner. Other than the bigger power/ground wire to 1/0 should I add a battery in the back? The other amp for the front Focal components is a ZR240.

I could get a saz-2000d right now for my 18'' BTL fully loaded Should i take the 2k or wait maybe for a 3 or 3.5k one. Would there be a big difference? Thanks

I had been searching the market and looking for a non-fanboy sub that was loud (I mean LOUD) but could fit in with an SQ setup and stumbled across a forum where I was first introduced to Fi. After some deliberation I made the plunge with a fully loaded Fi BL 12 and I could NOT be happier! Customer service via email is on point. Best of all its made in the USA (even by today's standards that doesn't mean much, but if at least one person in the USA put the sticker on it that said "made in USA" thats at least 1 job still in our country ) I digress... this SUB F'n ROCKS! PUT IT IN THE RIGHT ENCLOSURE!

havent heard anything since the crash. but how is progress coming on those 8 inchers? i know yall are busy as hell and all, but are they going to be out any time soon?

checklist... stock Toyota 60 amp alt optima yellow top orion 2500d 4.72cuft net @ 34hz 5"x14" port area 1 15"BTL loaded. box is built to keep me in stock class, below windows, yada yada.etc. results.........AMAZING!!!!!!! as far as SQ, speaker is stunning, especially for an spl sub. low end is awsome also. will have legal scores and kack panel outlaw scores sometime saturday, Port wars number at last comp was 159.9 littlematt has videos of both my btl and his 12Q. my 15 let me know if you think my truck flexs a lil bit.. o yeah all panels a triple linned with sound deadner....roof, cab floor, everything!!!!!!

Anyone know how much it would cost. I just emailed [email protected] about it. I'm so frustrated with this sub! I bought it from someone and it was making a wierd noise when he pushed on it and he put glue on it and it went away. But when we hooked it up it made a wierd noise when it played. He told me to put some glue on the spider in the center where it connects to the cone and I did that but it still didnt fix the problem. So I turned my gains on my MD2 down to where the sub played fine without it making the noise which was pretty much all the way down and used it from there. Ok so i orderd my sub last monday and they billed me thursday and i still havent got a email for a tracking number or anything. Do they start building the sub as soon as your put in your order or do they wait tell you get billed then start building it.

Hello, i am wondering if FI car audio can sell me a voice coil. I have all the neccessary parts for my 15" dayton audio MK3 recone but the vc. pierceaudioproducts sent me the wrong one, and when i reordered they didnt get it in. anyway the simpl specs are 2.5" diameter, 3" height, 2" winding, Dual 4 ohm impedience. i would also be fine with single as long as it is powerfull. I emailed FI but i havnt recieved a reply yet, so i thought i would try here. I am trying to get the caliper measurements for it. ALSO, i have various 2.5" voice coils and various spiders, baskets, etc., if anyone is intersested please say so. Thanks

I have 4 15" kicker's in my car right now running off 2 hifonics 2006's. i am thinking about putting either 4 18's into a truck or 2 18's of the trunk of my car. i want to flex and have a lot of bass. i already sound loud i my car but i want more. do you think i am jumping out there to far with purchasing 4 fi btl 18's? and if so what sloutions do any of you have for me to get flex and more bass? Oh just fyi the car is a lincoln towncar

Hey guys! Here are a few vids of my Q 15's. The first 2 are vids with my first box which was 7.2 CuFt after all displacement tuned to 32 Hz. That box fell apart cause the guy who built it didnt use any kind of adhesive in the joints...only screws. You can actually hear the rattling from the box...it sounded horrible. The second 2 are with new box which is 8CuFt, tuned to 30hz with 120 SqIn of port. Enjoy! The vids just dont do these justice. This is by far the loudest and best sounding setup I've ever had. i bought some ssd 18s used how can i tell if they have the high qts option, and if i had a fully upgraded sub whats will be the rms and max watts of the sub?

first off i love to bump. but i also love the truck i got right now. i wanna keep the rear bench seat also. so my plan is to do a build that will be loud but also compact. now i measured it out and ive got around 1.2 cubic feet under the bench seat to work with i would like to do 2 10s. i dont plan on burping at all. now i planned on goin with making sealed enclosures for them but would i be better off with a ported. if i have to im sure i could maybe get 1.5 cube out of it if i really make the box fit perfectly. also would i maybe be better off with going with a different series. i would still be stuck with only 10s tho cause thats all the bigger the gap is gonna allow.…

I can purchase two blown konaki 12 subs for 40 dollars per woofer and was wondering if I could send it in to Fi for a recone or purchase a recone from fi, I know you have to replace the basket as well... but if I can recone them for cheap it would be a good investment I think.... can i max the gain on the saz1500d without breaking the bl? is 1500wats the max wats that a bl can handle? or can it handle a little more? and what can a saz1500d really produce? coz i know its under rated, thanks!

So my budd is worried about his electrical in his 2000 Toyota 4Runner and wonders if he needs to upgrade his Alternator and/or battery. He's running I think a yellow top under the hood, and we'll be running an AQ1200D on my 18 soon enough. Thanks guys

I am currently running two Soundstream T4 Tarantulas in a 4.5cu. box powered off of a US Amps MD2D (2004 model). I have an optima yellow top up front with an extra batery in back along with the Big3 and 0/1 gauge for power. Also have a seperate eq w/ 8 volt pre outs. The last time i metered it was at 141db. Went out to move my vehicle earlier(after bumping my bl 18") and noticed a car sitting in the road. I got in started it up and the car rolls forward and out pops a cop. He asks me if i was playing my music loudly earlier, and i told him I was. He skips right past the warning and asks me what i got, and i told him to shine his light in the window. He says holy chit and asked for the company name so i told him. He wrote all down on a notepad and told me what he had in his previous system ,and we bullchitted for a few mins and told me he would look into it and rolled off.

I HAVE GOT A FI BL 18 THAT EVERYONE TELLS ME TO GET A BIGGER AMP FOR IT, IM RUNNING A KICKER KX 1200.1 THAT PUTS OUT ABOUT 1300 RMS. I THINK THE BL 18 IS ONLY 1000 RMS SO I DONT BELIEVE I WOULD NEED A BIGGER AMP WOULD I? THIS SUB HITS 143 ON TONES IS THAT GOOD NUMBERS FOR IT?
