What cleaner could I use to clean the surround on the subs?

Hey everyone, I am going to build a box for 2 Fi Q 10's and I would like to know your opinion on the best bex cubic feet and design wise, to get the absolute best SQ, and should I have it sealed or vented? If vented, how should it be tuned for the best SQ. I want these 10's to have a really, Tight, Bass sound.

I want to purchase 2 of the Q18's for an attic mounted IB line array in my home theater. I am a member of the "IB cult" and AVS forums and I understand you guys can do some custom mods on these to gear them specifically for IB installations. I will be running them on a Behringer EP2500 amp and using the DSP1124p feeback destroyer pro. For 2 of these in an array config, what ohm rating, voice coil type, and wiring config would you guys suggest I use? Hello, I am strongly considering getting some FI BLs. First, i have to say that i am very impressed with the videos I have seen of what these subs can do. I have not heard any in person, but i also hear the Sound quality is amazing. I have a good understanding of car audio and installs, im no expert. Here is some questions i have: looking at the FI BL 12" "Re: 0.75 Ohms/coil | 1.5 Ohms/coil" what is this? i thought the D1 and d2 options where ohms loads per voice coil? I have made one slight mistake on an ohm load and fried a very good sub, cause my calculations were less then 1/2ohm off. If i buy 2 FI BL 12"s can I safely run a D2 off a single channel amp? Run…

First off, hello, been lurking for awhile finally decided to post. I need some help. I want to add some subwoofers to my car. I am going to start with 1 sub, would like a 15, but possibly a 12. I have searched high and low to find something I truly like. First problem is, I have only heard 13w7's in the same car I have. I don't want to drop that much per speaker and I don't want something everyone else has. I have been leaning towards the 15"BL. Amps, I have access to kenwood KAC-9103D for cheap, but no sure I want that either, because I think I would have to have 2 to push the BL. I have a pair of older (boob cone) RE XXX 15s quad 1.7 coils. I would like to reuse the motors on a pair of 18s and would like to know the cost. Do you think a Soundstream PCA2000D would give me enough power to push two 15" or 18" Qs? If so would I purchase dual 2 or 1 ohm subs? If I wanted to get the full power out of the amp I would have to go with the 1 ohms, but how would I wire them? This amp is only stable at 1 ohm right? Would a .5 ohm load put too much stress on the amp? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

When I play certain songs and music for long periods of time my dust cap get pretty warm, i know you are suppost to smell a glue smell at first but its been about 3 months since ive had my q's and i still smell glue... ive had it oscillioscoped, what else could cause this? the two Q's are on 2 Alpine Pdx 600.1 Anyone Have any ideas as to why this might be? any comments would be truly appreciated

Wudup guys I need some help/advice once again about my box that I just picked up today..I made sure to include pictures so it'd be easier....well just look at it...a 15" BTL is going into it and i know it has the size. I punched the dimensions of the box into a box calculator and it's around 4cuft. But look at the ports..they look too small. Are they? I've never seen ports on a box for a BTL that look so small..look in the third picture. Also you can see that it's not an L shaped port...it just kind of ends..it's just straight as you can see in the third pic... Anyways it's supposed to be tuned to around 32hz but i can't figure out how i can make sure it is...any hel…

I have a UFO style 18" BTL in the trunk of my vic, and I want to order the 12" Fi sticker, but I need to know if the adhesive is on the front side of the sticker or the back, because I have dark tint and want to put it on the outside of the window so it shows up well. So is the adhesive on the sticker face or will I be able to place it on the outside of my car?

hi all i was bored, so i thought i'd post a coupla pics of my beloved fi's and my german made esx's that i raved about. they both handle around the same wattage but the fi's are'nt as choosey which box they slam in. some vids later.

On the BTL/BL..etc.. The terminal posts are to accommodate size 12 gauge speaker wire, and if you want to run it from a 1ohm load in parallel. Then you would have to cut the amount of strands in half per wire, so basically you have 24AWG of each going into the terminals. Just seems small. Since my amp (2500RMS) has 0AWG inputs for power, and 4AWG for speaker wire hookups. Other subs with equal power handling I have seen have way larger terminals. Is there a reason to the small terminals? What do you guys do to ensure you able to put the most amount of power to the sub?
