Right now in my truck I have a ported enclosure with 2 12" Rockford P3's, 500 watts each. I am new, so to me this is really nice and loud....actually produces a decent amount of SPL, made my rearview mirror fall off a couple times. Anyway, do you think 2 12" or 15" Q's sealed can compete if not beat these. I know they will kill the P3's in SQ, but I dont wanna lose all my SPL. I keep reading these things throw out a nice amount even sealed. THANXXX

I got a pair of jl audio 8w6's and i need them refoamed. can yall do this for me if the price is right? or send me some high roll 8" foam? they are the oldschool version ones and jl audio doesnt wanna f*ck with them. i also got a pair of 12" ssd's i need to send to scott for repair. i called scott about a week ago but no answer. thanks for any and all help "

I ordered my BTL last sunday and I know it's a busy time with finals and all coming up... does anyone know an idea of how long of a wait it is to get a sub to you? Just wondering...

ok i ordered a 18" BTL and was going to hook it up to the new hifonics brutus brz2400. Is that too much for the sub? but i also got the sub at a 1ohm so i can hook the amp to 2 ohms. Also will i be able to put that 18" in the back of my 2001 impala?

Do you think a Soundstream PCA2000D would give me enough power to push two 15" or 18" Qs? If so would I purchase dual 2 or 1 ohm subs? If I wanted to get the full power out of the amp I would have to go with the 1 ohms, but how would I wire them? This amp is only stable at 1 ohm right? Would a .5 ohm load put too much stress on the amp? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

i have a fully loaded BTL 15" dual 1 ohm, i am looking for a good affordable amp with anything higher than [email protected]?? anyone have any ideas??? i had a american bass XD3000 but it wasnt enough and i think i blew it or sumthin, it was letting a very high pitch sound come out so i sold it cuz i didnt want to mess up my speaker, anyways i would like a VFL200.1 but i am open for any other ideas on a more money saving quality amp cuz im broke:) thanks yall

FiQ 18 + AQ2200 at 2 ohm vs AQ hdc3 18 + AQ2200 at 1 ohm really confused and dont know with sub to get because I originally wanted the FiQ for its SQ but for $60 cheaper I can get something LOUDER...but how is the hdc3 18 when it comes to SQ Help would be appreciated

Well i've got my friend hooked on Fi. He wants to build a setup with my help. He is looking at a 12" or 15" Fi BL Powering it with a Directed 1100d, old model. He listens to mainly rap, and it will be placed in a Grand Am. What options should he look into with this amp power. I told him to just get it fully loaded if he ever plans to upgrade someday. Just need some opinion. His main concern is what size to go with, what is your opinion, I personally went with the 15, and love it.

Hey, I'm planning on buying a 12'' Fi Q sub, and I was wondering what type of box would be good for me... I have a polk/momo c500.1. I was planning on getting the dual 1ohm to run 500rms to the sub. I'm looking for good SQ(obviously why I'm getting the Q) but I want to be able to feel that chit in my back if I want to, lol. It's going in an older 4DR BMW. Any help would be appreciated, thanks. Right now i have a 15" FI Q with BP and im trying to sell it. A guy came up that was interested and before i was asking more but i really need the money quick so i said $200 for sub or $299 for sub and box. I made the box so cheap because it was custom made for my car. Anyways, to get to the point he only has 170 now and so he was thinking of trading and he has some 12" audiobahns and i dont want that and then he has a jensen vm9312. Currently i have an Alpine 9886 so my question to you guys is should i trade and get the headunit or is my alpine better and i should just wait for cash? Thanks, Alex

When I play certain songs and music for long periods of time my dust cap get pretty warm, i know you are suppost to smell a glue smell at first but its been about 3 months since ive had my q's and i still smell glue... ive had it oscillioscoped, what else could cause this? the two Q's are on 2 Alpine Pdx 600.1 Anyone Have any ideas as to why this might be? any comments would be truly appreciated

Ok got the cut out.. Now I need to know how the hell to install this thing. The rubber surround comes off(the part with the holes on top and bottom...So i pulled on it...and theres no holes through the basket..I dont want to go drilling through the sub so im wondering whats going on...

is Fi planning on releasing any new subs or any new options? just wanna know if i should wait a lil bit for something new to come out or is it safe to say nothing new will be out for a little while so i wont feel all sick when i order my sub and something new comes out

I've made a couple of these threads but I recently picked up 2 Rockford T1500's for a steal. Now I'm definately close to purchasing 2 15 BL's and just curious what the experts have to say on this. I'm thinking since they are RF's they are going to be rated a bit higher rms, so how will that go along with the BL's? Also, what reccomendations do you have when it comes to wiring these? It says they arent bridgable, but can I still make this work? Pretty clueless when it comes to amps/wiring and all that. Thanks for all your help guys.

Getting used to the BLs... so got a ?... well first off the rear deck is cut out in the center already to allow more air into the car (rear seat's don't fold down). When I had 12s I had a box design with the port facing up but put in the old box with port facing foward and it was louder that way. But with that design there was ~ 4" gap between the port and the cutout.. If I designed a new box that had say aeros coming out right to the rear deck, or just the port designed to fit flush in the rear deck think it would get louder? But I've been told the issue was I have to completly seal off the trunk from the car to make it work.... any input is apprecited.. thank you .

Ok guys, vehicle to be worked on is a 1996 full size conversion van. Huge vehicle. I'm trying to decide what woofers and how many I should run in this. Power will be along the lines of something like 4 IA 40.1s. I was thinking 6 BTL 18s. Thoughts, ideas, experience, lay it on me please.

How much does it cost to recone a Q. the surround is ripped and is also seperated from the cone in that spot.

Anyone know how much it would cost. I just emailed [email protected] about it. I'm so frustrated with this sub! I bought it from someone and it was making a wierd noise when he pushed on it and he put glue on it and it went away. But when we hooked it up it made a wierd noise when it played. He told me to put some glue on the spider in the center where it connects to the cone and I did that but it still didnt fix the problem. So I turned my gains on my MD2 down to where the sub played fine without it making the noise which was pretty much all the way down and used it from there. On the way to work today it stopped playing so I thought maybe the sub froze because it …
