hey guys i need you're help! im planning on buying a fully loaded bl 15(dual 2 ohm). i hear the sub can be pushed to 2000watts no problem but im pretty new to this whole sub thing so i'de like to have the sub running at around 1500watts. i was hoping you guys could help list me a couple good quality amps that won't cost me an arm and a leg (im a student). my budget is around 350$. at first i was leaning towards the hifonics bxi1606d but i heard they put their specs a little too high, so now im looking into kenwood(KAC-9103D), power accoustik(psi 2000d), and refurb kicker(ZX1500.1) amps which all fall near my budget. i know some of the amps i named seem a little high for t…

Ok, here is what is going on....the truck is a 08 Ford F-150. I am going to do a blow through in the truck. I would like to compete once in awhile and just want to get really loud. After taking some small measurements I figure I could fit 4 12's straight across the back or maybe 2 15's. At the moment, I plan on running a Rockford 4000.1 to power them. Of course the 12's would probably be BL's or Q's and the 15's would be BTL's. What would probably perform better out of those? I am going to be new to competition and am not really sure where to go. Any help or questions for me would be great. Thanks.

Hopefully by saturday i am hoping to order my new fi daul 2 ohm and i know there isnt to much of a difference between the BL and Q i know that the Q will hit incredible deep and the BL hits harder and deep. but I'm not sure what im not sure what i want. i am wanting one that will hit deep but still want it to hit hard. does the Q hit hard or just really deep?

Alright, I have 2 Fi X12's in a prefab ported box right now. they sound alright but not great. Either I put ~$200 into a box for them or I save up and buy a Q15 and a box(~$300+$200). my question: how much better will the Q sound than two 12X's? is it worth waiting to save up for the Q and the extra $300. ok..... so i have 2 15" Fi BTLs in a 2006 maxima.....AB 500.1 for power....my electrical system has a 200A Alt, 2 2400's and a 1400 kinetik under the hood... i recently put in an alpine 9887 and since then my output went WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYy down. i readjusted the gains just now with a voltmeter, around 70V.....and it barely hits, ive got the setting on the HU MX 3...sub level 15 eq on the low bands +6 and it barely hits.... i checked the ohms with the DMM by turning off car and putting it on the speaker wire to amp....it showed .8-1....... really, my old setup with 2 12" mags + sundown 1500 hit harder then this. its like playing stock subs......any ideas what is wrong here?…

I will have ~5.4 cubes and 87" of port. What will get louder/perform better, 12s or 15s? BTW they will be BTLs with ~3kw each. I know it would be starving for the 15s, but not sure if the cone area would conteract that.

well thanks to my homies at ups for dropping my 05 xxx. 15. the bottom mag slug has been split all the way around and then shifted over to lock up the vc. sobasically the sub is fudgeed. well i was wondering if you guys can replace the slug, but also take the top assy off in one piece.(the xxx dc is almost priceless)

what do you think of a 12 ssd or q sealed on 1k rms. looking for good sq and rather loud bass

i am going to be running a memphis amp 1100 @ 1 ohm . its going in a downfire center console in a reg cab silverado . im thinking a ported 10 or a sealed 12. i have around 2 cubes to work with . im looking for a good overall response. what do you think?

Ok heres the story, my back window had major bubbles and i dont know why, its been perfect for 10 years. Well i got tired of it, plus when the sun gets in just a little you can totally see the ugly rear of the wall which is fairly "raw" . Sorta embarrassing to roll my honda out, hella slammin, tuckin 18's..........but the worlds ugliest tint and behind it a raw backside of a wall. Just picked up one my BTL motors, plan on getting another soon. And I am working on a new box as well. I will be giving a Sundown3000 to each BTL, my question is can I safely tune the box low? I wanted to tune around 29-30hz but I have been told tuning that low with that much power on them is not a good idea.

Currently im running a 12" Q ported (2cu@32hz) off a saz-1500d. Im looking at trying to get more output but am limited on space. Im looking at the option of doing 2 SSD 12's sealed with 800wrms going to each. How would output compare to the Q ported? I have about 3 cubic ft to work with in a sealed box. I could also possibly do 2 10" SSDs ported but only in 2-2.5 cubes. Any recommendations?
