Ok so im planning on running Stinger hpm 0 ga, with a audioque 2200d pushing a 12" btl in a 2.0 cu. ft. box tuned to 32 hz will be getting bigger soon got it cheap from a friend, and will be keeping my alpine cda 9883 hu for now, this setup will be in a 04 ranger edge with the 3.0, may take my old 4ga wiring from old setup to do big 3, mostly depending on how bad dimmage i have, is there anything ive missed or need to do other than that? Also i hear a lot about people "clipping" being a noob what can do to not let this happen so far ive had 3 audio setups and have had none blow dont wanna start with my btl! Thanks

Well recently, I have just purchased a 12" CVX that came in a prefab Kicker enclosure. It was powered off a Kicker ZX 750.1(which seems to be the only decent Kicker purchase I made). I assume with the amp being underrated, and therefore overpowering the CVX caused it to blow. Well now, I'M GOING FI BEEZYS, sorry for the anticipation, but now anyway I would like to power my new setup with the same amp, the Kicker ZX750.1 and replace the sub with a NEW FI SSD 12". Temporarily I will, use the same box.... I know to some extent either the enclosure could make or break the sub hopefully, the prefab kicker box won't make the FI sound like shit. Opinions? I would also like to k…

Im new to the sub game. Looking for a pretty inexpensive setup that i can play everyday and that hits hard. I was looking at Fi's products and maybe just 1 ssd 15" would be nice or should i get 2 12" or just 1 18" could do what i want. Should i just forget about the 18" because of the cost of a ported box and amp and head unit would be alot? I just basically need help on which subs to pick, amp, and head unit that would be inexpensive. Thanks.

Alright, tore out my 4.8cuft ported box for the Q and stripped out amps and all. I am now going to start the new build. In this build will be a pair, maybe two, of Hybrid audio legatia L1 tweets, a pair of hybrid's L4 mids, a 15" Q, 3-4 amps, and a pair of 8" mid-bass, not yet determined from who though. System will be setup actively using my alpine HU feeding the awesome fosgate 3sixty.2 processor. Build will include, new sealed box for the Q, amp rack, mounting for distribution block, processor, and second battery in the trunk. Also included will be the door panel build to fit 8's, and the kick panels for the tweets and mids. Not to mention tons of dynamat, monst…

I received my Fi Q15 yesterday!! I ordered it with the BP option and a Red dustcap to match my car. This sub looks amazing!! The build quality of this Fi product is better than that of other brands. I was really impressed with the multi stranded woven tinsel leads. I cant wait to install it this weekend. I am finishing up my box (4cf @ 30hz.) and will be running a Cadence iA7 in a 07' Chrysler 300C. I'll make sure to post pics when completed. Thanks to everyone who helped me make my decision and especially to Scott and the crew @ Fi!!!

So I checked last night UPS said Shipped, FI said shipped and its schedualed for next wed. I am very happy. But now Im starting my box build And I think Iv changed things a little.. I was running 6 cubes Net Volume. That was perfect for me as it just maxed out my the dimensions I could use...However, I think that in reality after displacements ill be down around 5 cubes... Is that enough? Or should I bump the box up to 7 net cubes? Any advice? Thanks

Okay I am planning on getting a new substage setup in the summer because right now im just a poor college student lol. Anyways I have had a fi btl 12 before and loved it but now I know I want an 18 for sure and I have contacted argent audio and an 18 will fit with aero ports so my question is should I get another btl or the Q. I loved my old btl but honestly sometimes it was just to loud and I have heard great things about tthe Q. I have never heard a sound quility sub in car auido before though. I like it loud but it doesn't necasarly have to rattle everything too. So I was just wondering what you guys think between the two wich would be better. If I left any iformation …

Ok guys new to the forums i'm looking for some advice on my upcoming electrical situation. I'm going to be ordering the new FI Q 18" with the cooling or bp option when it comes out. I have decided to go with the Sundown Sae-1200d also. The q will be in a 6-10 cf ported box. The car I'm putting the system into is a 2009 Ford Escape. So far everything in the car is stock electrical wise. I have ordered a knukonceptz 1/0 gauge amp kit and around 20 feet more of 1/0 gauge to do the big three. So after the big three and 1/0 gauge wiring i'm curious as to what you guys think i should do electrically with 1200 watts of power, to get the best out of my system. My budget is only a…

So my last car got totaled and I am tryign to put together a solid system in my new 07 grand prix. I am working on getting the following Pioneer Premier f90bt ( I know its not the latest model but they have 4.0 volt outs compared to the new Pioneer 910bt) Inifinity Perfects 6.1 Infinity Kappa 693.9 Rockford Fosgate Power 400-4 *(Already have from my old setup) Old School 2003 Rockford Fosgate 150.1bd Amp (1500 watts rms @ 2 ohms) Now I am new to this high end of stuff. What would be the best Fi sub to choose and how big should my box be. I want the sub to be more powerful then the amp so its near impossible to blow. Since the amp is rated 1500 watts RMS at 2 ohms a dual…

Some of you might've seen my scores before. I have 2 12 BTLs in a 4.2 cube box tuned to 33 hz. I'm running the AQ 3500.1. My burp score is currently at 142.7 (2 batts) at 38 hz in my 02 Camry. The score seems alright for a trunk car, especially at that frequency. Well I clamped my amp, car was on this time with 3 batts. My rise is from 1.0 ohms to 4.5 ohms and I only clamped a little over 1,000 watts out of my amp. So for my 142.7 run, it's probably a safe guess to say it was only around 800-900 watts. In conclusion, I'm more satisfied with my score now seeing on how little power I'm using. Sucks that my rise is so bad.. But.. GO BTLs!

So I am starting to plan out my first system and have done some research and found fi. Looks like really nice stuff. I am looking at putting a Q10 in my 95' s10 extended cab. Probably in a sealed box after reading other news about the q series. how big do you think this should be? I thinking about pairing it with a sundown amp but was wondering if there was anything comparable for a little less cash. Also, how much upgrading will i have to do to my electrical system? Big three is going to happen soon, but what about a yellow top battery or anything like that? Thanks a lot.

  22. Hey guys! First off, I am new here and already love it. I have heard great things about Fi and decided to run with them in my next setup. I listen to, well, almost all rap and I want to compete for the first time with my new setup and am not sure what to run with. This is going in a blow through so I have a decent amount of room to play with. I am not sure what I would be better off doing in a setup. Right now I am kinda torn between doing something like 4 12's sealed (probably Q's) versus someting like 2 15" BTLs ported. I want to get super stupid loud. Pretty much I am just lookin for suggestions and ideas of what to do. Amp wise I was thinkin if I go with the 4…

Didn't know if this belonged on the tech page, so here goes. Just recently looked at the SSD 10 and 12". Looks to me they have the same power handling. Anyways Im currenty torn between the two of them. I know I would get 1 with a copper coil but thats it. I would like some more input on both, so I could get a better idea on which version would give me the results I want. Amp I have is an older Memphis 500D. Matt I'm also looking at the SoundSplinter rl-i10 if it matters any.

hello, I have some questions about getting an 18 inch fi sub for everyday driving. I see that the Q line is built for SQ and has a hefty 27 mm xmax, but whats the real sound difference of a q 18 compared ssd 18s? and whats the freq response in a moderate sized enclosure for a Q 18? and does the 18s sound floppier than the 15s or do they have the same characteristics, but just move more air? Whats the magnet weight of the 18 Q? I know its a lot of questions HAha. oh and also what are the differences between Q and a BL that is customized for daily driving?

Alright guys I'm new to SSA and Fi. I'm Ramin, i live in Cali. I'm paying my friend about 100 a week for a Bl 12" w/ cooling, a Nine.1 Amp, and a custom 2.4cuft box tuned to 32hz. (i'm paying 640 altogether) He had the setup for about 2 weeks, and now decided he's gonna get the bl 18. So he's selling me his new setup. Well firstly, is there anything i should change about that setup. I could for example sell that amp and get a new one. Secondly, i'm not the best with car audio. My friends help me with most of the installation etc. I know a decent amount though. The setup will be going in a 07 Audi A4, and a couple friends have been telling me that i'd need a new head unit …
