General Fi

Well i've got my friend hooked on Fi. He wants to build a setup with my help. He is looking at a 12" or 15" Fi BL Powering it with a Directed 1100d, old model. He listens to mainly rap, and it will be placed in a Grand Am. What options should he look into with this amp power. I told him to just get it fully loaded if he ever plans to upgrade someday. Just need some opinion. His main concern is what size to go with, what is your opinion, I personally went with the 15, and love it.

ok i ordered a 18" BTL and was going to hook it up to the new hifonics brutus brz2400. Is that too much for the sub? but i also got the sub at a 1ohm so i can hook the amp to 2 ohms. Also will i be able to put that 18" in the back of my 2001 impala?

This may not be directly about an Fi product but i didnt know where else to go to. Hope you guys dont mind...but i was thinking about upgarding to a better amp. I currently have an hifonics bxi1208 powering my 12'' Fi Q with Bp. I was thinking about an audioque 1200d. Would this amp be that much better? All my electrical is stock. My alt is a 130 amp. If you read my other posts, you pretty much know what I want. I am doing a blowthrough in the bed of my truck. To save some room, I am debating on doing either 2 15" BTL's or 4 12" subs. I know no matter what I do I am gonna need an upgrade electrical wise. I have already decided on a 300 amp alt no matter what I do (wanting to be extra safe) and big 3. Here is where the question kicks in. If I do 4 12" BTL's, how much more ($$$$ wise) would this costs in upgrades (batteries, etc) than if I did say 4 12" Q's/BL's or 2 15" BTL's???? Also, SORRY 4 BEING A PAIN, but does anyone know if Hifonics amps are good, mainly looking at the Brutus at the moment. Not bad price, …

Hey Scott, Are the specs the same on my subwoofer, power handling wise? Is it still 1000 rms or is it more now? I'm trying to figure out the right voltage so I can set the gains on my amp with my DMM. Oh and the shirt is awesome, thanks alot for the shirt and the stickers.

See i ordered 2 12 Fi Bl but the more and more i look around...a 15' btl or a 12' Btl would do so much better...well i have not gotten my tracking number yet...so is it possible to change??? to a fully loaded btl???instead of the bl

I've made a couple of these threads but I recently picked up 2 Rockford T1500's for a steal. Now I'm definately close to purchasing 2 15 BL's and just curious what the experts have to say on this. I'm thinking since they are RF's they are going to be rated a bit higher rms, so how will that go along with the BL's? Also, what reccomendations do you have when it comes to wiring these? It says they arent bridgable, but can I still make this work? Pretty clueless when it comes to amps/wiring and all that. Thanks for all your help guys.

Alright i aalready asked this before but never really got an answer. What do you think would be louder 2 12" SSD's each getting 750-1000 watts or a BL 18 getting 1500-2000. Please dont say it depends on the install. lets just say they are in there optimal enclosures.

Ok, my friend Want to get a 15" sub. He is think about doing either a BTL or BL he has the hifonics bxi 2008D that he got free from a friend. He wants to feel the bass should he do the BTL or BL? the BL will be getting more power than it need, but will the btl get louder even though it will be underpowered, considering how much more efficient the BTL is.

What would be the best tuning for a 18" BL in a 5^ box? I want to still be able to hit the highs with authority but still pound on the lows

what do you think of a 12 ssd or q sealed on 1k rms. looking for good sq and rather loud bass

i was wondering if a BL with pchamber (sp?) and SPL package will do nice daily (not daily 2k beating 4 hrs a day) maybe....20 mins of play time a day? this has probably been covered also but how much port area would you recomend im going to be going about 6.5-7 cubes tuned to?

Hi there, I have a small sealed enclosure with a Diamon Audio D3 sub that I want to upgrade, the box is around .95cf sealed, 22" long x 13" wide x 8" deep, I think its .5"mdf How would a SSD12 sub work in this enclosure getting around 600RMS from an alpine amp on a center console of a Ram Quad Cab? THX in advance
