I ordered a BL15 today with all the options and a green dust cap. I'm going to order 1/0 wire as mine are 4 gauge right now. I have a ZX1000.1 for the sub. I have a guy that's going to help with building a custom fiberglass ported box. I have a '05 Mercury Mariner. Other than the bigger power/ground wire to 1/0 should I add a battery in the back? The other amp for the front Focal components is a ZR240.

Ok guys, vehicle to be worked on is a 1996 full size conversion van. Huge vehicle. I'm trying to decide what woofers and how many I should run in this. Power will be along the lines of something like 4 IA 40.1s. I was thinking 6 BTL 18s. Thoughts, ideas, experience, lay it on me please.

why is it so hard to sell a fi btl 18" sub. i was selling it for 350 plus the shipping is that to much .

Getting used to the BLs... so got a ?... well first off the rear deck is cut out in the center already to allow more air into the car (rear seat's don't fold down). When I had 12s I had a box design with the port facing up but put in the old box with port facing foward and it was louder that way. But with that design there was ~ 4" gap between the port and the cutout.. If I designed a new box that had say aeros coming out right to the rear deck, or just the port designed to fit flush in the rear deck think it would get louder? But I've been told the issue was I have to completly seal off the trunk from the car to make it work.... any input is apprecited.. thank you .

Could anyone give me the specs for a 18" Fi Bl ported box going in a Chevy Suburban. (Plenty of space.) 47 inches in width. More than that in length and height. I want a great port and the box to be tuned to around 30-35 hz. Please help me. Specs with pictures would really help. Thank you all. I am going for low freq's. along with decent mid freq's. i bought some ssd 18s used how can i tell if they have the high qts option, and if i had a fully upgraded sub whats will be the rms and max watts of the sub?

first off i love to bump. but i also love the truck i got right now. i wanna keep the rear bench seat also. so my plan is to do a build that will be loud but also compact. now i measured it out and ive got around 1.2 cubic feet under the bench seat to work with i would like to do 2 10s. i dont plan on burping at all. now i planned on goin with making sealed enclosures for them but would i be better off with a ported. if i have to im sure i could maybe get 1.5 cube out of it if i really make the box fit perfectly. also would i maybe be better off with going with a different series. i would still be stuck with only 10s tho cause thats all the bigger the gap is gonna allow.…

I hate to bring up a vs. thread, but this one seems reasonable. If you read my thread in the subwoofer section, you know my deal. Basically i want to upgrade from an avalanche and I think i have decided on either the Fi Q or BL. Both will be receiving 1200 watts and be put in a 3.5 @ 30hz enclosure. From my other thread, i learned that the Q will probably work better in my box, but the BL will be louder in the end. I will probably build a new box come summer time better suited to whichever sub i get and to my car (hatchback=sub up). Both subs are the same price...i won't be putting options on either...so i am pretty torn. I have researched and found people to say the Q …

I've made a couple of these threads but I recently picked up 2 Rockford T1500's for a steal. Now I'm definately close to purchasing 2 15 BL's and just curious what the experts have to say on this. I'm thinking since they are RF's they are going to be rated a bit higher rms, so how will that go along with the BL's? Also, what reccomendations do you have when it comes to wiring these? It says they arent bridgable, but can I still make this work? Pretty clueless when it comes to amps/wiring and all that. Thanks for all your help guys.

Ok got the cut out.. Now I need to know how the hell to install this thing. The rubber surround comes off(the part with the holes on top and bottom...So i pulled on it...and theres no holes through the basket..I dont want to go drilling through the sub so im wondering whats going on...

I need help deciding which amp i should get... i used to run the soundstream xxx6500 (which ive been told only does about 2700 @ 12v and 1ohm) on my 2 15" BTLs (dual .7) but i broke my box.... so next week they are completely redoing it to make it much stronger. but since im redoing that, im going to just uppppp the power. the sounstream is sold.... now for my amp choices i can either get: (2) opti4000ds and run them at 2ohm....doing right about 3000rms per sub (which was my goal) i know this amp is JUST like the SS, but its regulated so it should do more power on 12v as opposed to the SS. or i can get (1) AB500.1 which will do about 4700rms and costs about $200 less. the…

hey guys. I've got a 2000 firebird trans am that is in need of some extra bump. I currently have 1 Resonant Engineering SX 15" in a 5.5 cu ft box at 33hz in my Yukon and it sounds amazing on music and tones. I'm wanting to do the 2 10" stealth enclosures that fit into the rear pockets of the firebird. Here's what I mean... http://www.subthump.com/acamarostealth.htm I was wondering about the SSD 10's. Do you think they would be nice for this enclosure? I know the minimum sealed enclosure is actually 0.6 cu ft.
