hey guys i need you're help! im planning on buying a fully loaded bl 15(dual 2 ohm). i hear the sub can be pushed to 2000watts no problem but im pretty new to this whole sub thing so i'de like to have the sub running at around 1500watts. i was hoping you guys could help list me a couple good quality amps that won't cost me an arm and a leg (im a student). my budget is around 350$. at first i was leaning towards the hifonics bxi1606d but i heard they put their specs a little too high, so now im looking into kenwood(KAC-9103D), power accoustik(psi 2000d), and refurb kicker(ZX1500.1) amps which all fall near my budget. i know some of the amps i named seem a little high for t…

Ok, here is what is going on....the truck is a 08 Ford F-150. I am going to do a blow through in the truck. I would like to compete once in awhile and just want to get really loud. After taking some small measurements I figure I could fit 4 12's straight across the back or maybe 2 15's. At the moment, I plan on running a Rockford 4000.1 to power them. Of course the 12's would probably be BL's or Q's and the 15's would be BTL's. What would probably perform better out of those? I am going to be new to competition and am not really sure where to go. Any help or questions for me would be great. Thanks.

Hopefully by saturday i am hoping to order my new fi daul 2 ohm and i know there isnt to much of a difference between the BL and Q i know that the Q will hit incredible deep and the BL hits harder and deep. but I'm not sure what im not sure what i want. i am wanting one that will hit deep but still want it to hit hard. does the Q hit hard or just really deep?

ok..... so i have 2 15" Fi BTLs in a 2006 maxima.....AB 500.1 for power....my electrical system has a 200A Alt, 2 2400's and a 1400 kinetik under the hood... i recently put in an alpine 9887 and since then my output went WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYy down. i readjusted the gains just now with a voltmeter, around 70V.....and it barely hits, ive got the setting on the HU MX 3...sub level 15 eq on the low bands +6 and it barely hits.... i checked the ohms with the DMM by turning off car and putting it on the speaker wire to amp....it showed .8-1....... really, my old setup with 2 12" mags + sundown 1500 hit harder then this. its like playing stock subs......any ideas what is wrong here?…

Alright, I have 2 Fi X12's in a prefab ported box right now. they sound alright but not great. Either I put ~$200 into a box for them or I save up and buy a Q15 and a box(~$300+$200). my question: how much better will the Q sound than two 12X's? is it worth waiting to save up for the Q and the extra $300. How much does it cost to recone a Q. the surround is ripped and is also seperated from the cone in that spot.

I will have ~5.4 cubes and 87" of port. What will get louder/perform better, 12s or 15s? BTW they will be BTLs with ~3kw each. I know it would be starving for the 15s, but not sure if the cone area would conteract that.

Ok heres the story, my back window had major bubbles and i dont know why, its been perfect for 10 years. Well i got tired of it, plus when the sun gets in just a little you can totally see the ugly rear of the wall which is fairly "raw" . Sorta embarrassing to roll my honda out, hella slammin, tuckin 18's..........but the worlds ugliest tint and behind it a raw backside of a wall. went to chickens today after dropping my daughter off....there was a few people up there and of course they wanted a demo...........the boys from the Doja Clik were back up there too. Got some good footage and also a decent hair trick. Also filmed for like 10 seconds inside the house with the 7' towers bumpin. Just picked up one my BTL motors, plan on getting another soon. And I am working on a new box as well. I will be giving a Sundown3000 to each BTL, my question is can I safely tune the box low? I wanted to tune around 29-30hz but I have been told tuning that low with that much power on them is not a good idea.

With Just 2 12'' Q's No bp option in a ported box tuned to 32hz, with 2 pdx 600.1 amps i hit 149.5 dbs at 48 hz yesterday, a coulpe more points and ill be right where i wanna be.. thanks scott and nick for the box reccomendations, scott told me it would be loud..
