I have had my 12" BTL for over five months now. Around 4 months ago, i started hearing a poping noise on certain high notes. My first thought was that the box it is installed in caused the sub to reach its mechanical limits. The enclosure is 3 cubes after displacement at 34 hz. I know that this box is over the recommended specs, but i am only giving the sub 1000 watts from an Alpine PDX 1.1000. The sub is fully loaded and i have never heard any clipping out of the amp. When i noticed the popiing noise, I turned my amp gain down to around an eighth of a turn from zero. This gave me very little bass, but it kept the sub from poping so i was satisfied until i could fin…

I just registered over here, and Ive seen some of you on other forums that will know my setup, but Im sure alot of you dont. I got 4 18" BTLs, 8 Sundown SAZ-1500Ds, 10 Kinetik HC2400s, and a 300amp alt. The enclosure specs is 6.5ft, 35hz, 100sq in of port. Sorry, this video is real crappy. Its kinda hard to make a good video when I have like 20 seconds left on the camera and the battery is going to die.

Hey guys, I thought it would be a good idea if we could have a place to check the status on our subs upon request. With the new contest, I thought it would be a great addition to the board. The UPS tracking number is one way to check, but when your in my situation, about 4+ days for an SSD, I think it would be nice to know how your sub is doing, and when it will ship out. I know the guys at Fi are busy, and although this would be a great addition to the forum, they have the final call if this thread is a go. So I will start. Ok so everyone keeps telling me to go get the big 3 upgrade done cuz its a pretty simple way to relieve stress from numerous things. Ok so i go to my local shop today to get a quote and learn a lil more about what it takes to do it. The guy comes out and looks at my car and i tell him the 3 wires that i want to upgrade to 0g. so he comes in and starts crunching numbers on his calculator and comes up with a price of $263??? I almost walked out of the store right there haha but all the stuff was good quallity. all was RF power and ground wires and new terminals and rings and the whole 9 yards. but nobody every told me that i would need all this stuff for a big 3 upgrade. Hi guys, I installed my 12" BTL N2 2 days ago. The box is ported to 32 Hz, 2.1 ft3. I run a Sundown saz 1500 at 1 ohm. Last night I took time to test this setup and I was surprised to hear a strange sound at the highest volume. I kept the exact same settings than with my previous setup (1 ssa xcon 15" on the same amp). On a certain note on a song from Mike Jones a weird sound is coming from the sub, and not in the port. On low bass notes there is no problem, but on a higher note the sub reacts badly : how can I describe it ? Like a sheet of paper moving ! It's scarry. I need to turn down the gain on the amplifier. my friend has a RF T2 15 2010 model, and my other friend has a JL w7 13, and im going to be a proud owner of the FI BL 15 fully loaded... we were wondering which would be a good quality all around sounding woofer? i prefur FI but i would like to get more opinions on this topic...

So I got my 2 Q 15's installed in the box (7cuft @ 32Hz), running off an AQ2200D, and installed my 36sqft of Damplifier Pro (great stuff FYI) but I seem to be having a problem getting the bass into the cabin. I knew that I'd probably run into this problem with such a big box so I'm weighing my options now. The box is rear facing, and when I pull it within about 6"-8" from the back of the car the bass seems to be the "best", but I still have limited clearance around the top and sides of the box. The bass sounds extremely peaky at higher frequencies (60-80Hz) and I believe this is because the trunk is actually functioning something like a double vented bandpass and blocking…

hey guys i need some help. i have a FI BL 15 fully loaded for daily for over a year now, never been pushed to it limit, running on about 1200watts, never turned the gain on the amp past the 75% ish mark and never had the receiver on max volume. it seems that some of the coppering windeings around the coil may have slightly seperated. the copper coil itself looks like brand new still not scorched at all from what i can see. i get no audio at all of the woofer , its just completly dead... : ( i loved that woofer too is there any reason y that would happen..? are there maybe any cheep fixes because unfortunatly i dont have the money to get a replacement at the moment. t…

First time Fi buyer! Just finished building and installing my new box for my SSD. Everything is ready to go except..... no subwoofer. I was told by Nick within the past two weeks that it would ship around last friday. Status on the website has said "awaiting fulfillment" for the past 16 business days. Just really anxious to get this thing.
