Car: 2000 Ford Explorer 4Door Current system: Apline CDE-102 HU Fi 18in BL 09 1500D Sundown all 1/0 gauge knu wire. 8cu ft box. sub facing roof/port facing hatch. Tuned to 32hz I must say that I am very pleased with FI and their product, I am just wanting my system to be maximizing its output. My first hing which I plan to improve is running big 3, I am NOT having dimming in my car and is it really needed if it does not effect the output of the sub. I was thinking of making a better designed box that has both the sub and port facing the rear. I was also thinking about putting dynamat in the trunk door of the car to help with rattle. im doing a single 12 ssd on a rockford 1200.1d in a pontiac vibe and want the best bang for my buck... does anyone have any plans they may be willing to share? i dont want to use the re audio calculator cause i know thats not very accurate. and im also thinking abou buying a custom box from "dave the box guy" but thats at least 6-10 weeks so i will have to build something for the meantime... any thoughts are appreciated.

Hey everyone. I am new to not only this forum but to FI as well. I have always had "eh" subs that are sold in my area. I currently have 2 10" RF T1's in a 3 cu ft enclosure....I am lookin to upgrade to something louder and better and am not sure of which sub to go with. I listen to 75% heavy rap, 10% techno, and 15% heavy metal. I like SPL mostly, but want to retain some SQ. Are the Q's or BL's a better replacment for what I have?

Hey guys! Here are a few vids of my Q 15's. The first 2 are vids with my first box which was 7.2 CuFt after all displacement tuned to 32 Hz. That box fell apart cause the guy who built it didnt use any kind of adhesive in the joints...only screws. You can actually hear the rattling from the box...it sounded horrible. The second 2 are with new box which is 8CuFt, tuned to 30hz with 120 SqIn of port. Enjoy! The vids just dont do these justice. This is by far the loudest and best sounding setup I've ever had. If you look in the last vid, and look by the sunroof, you can kinda see better how much the roof flexes. Was shot with a phone so its not the best but you will…

I ordered a 10" BL this Saturday, but realized after reading some forums that I didn't need the extreme lead option.. I e-mailed the orders department like 20 min. after i placed the order, but have yet to get any response. That being said, I have already received tracking confirmation and they stated that the sub would be delivered this Friday..what can I do besides ordering another new sub? I will be using the sub daily, and dont want the tinsel slap or worn out spiders that this option is known for..anyone with some advice?

Hey so i recently ordered an Fi BL 18in dual 2ohm. And i made a huge mistake. I treid to contact Fi at [email protected] to see if theres anychance for them if they hadnt start building the subwoofer if they can change it from dual 2ohm to dual 1 ohm. if any of the Fi car audio workers see this plz help to see if i can get that changed

ok im looking to get a present for my brother he wants a sub thats big so i think im gonna go with the 18 he has a 2002 galant and is willing to give up his hole trunk to fit on in there he has a phoenix gold 15.1 says 1000rms at 2 ohms would this be ok to put on a 18SSD without any of the options added

11cubes to work with...2btl 18's ported tuned to 35hz with 2k going to each or 3 q18's sealed with 2k going to each? for the folks cant understand 2 18's ported 4,000 watts or 3 18' sealed with 6,000watts either setup will be in a blazer walled off 80 i feel like such a noob
