How much does it cost to recone a Q. the surround is ripped and is also seperated from the cone in that spot.

Well my avalanche is officially done. The suspension was getting loose as it was and I apparently smoked the coils. I was listening to white girl when my car suddenly started to fill with smoke. It kept playing after that believe it or not but it was alot quieter and now it's cutting in and out. I know on the main site it says you guys recone other companies subs and considering the fi and AA connection I know this is where to go. However I didn't see any links to follow. Who do I get in contact with to get a recone kit sent to me? Can I get a cool new dustcap? (i'd like a new AA one, but whatever, just sick of the plain black)

My brother and I are working on and IB setup for his car. He really wants to use an older pair of rockford 15's, I'm guessing they are from the early to mid 90's. The surround on both of them is going bad and I am hoping that FI can give these subs new life!! I will try and get pictures of the sub, but am afraid that won't help you out much. So, I'm wondering if I should send the subs in or what, thanks for any help and if you could even come up with a price for a recone, that'd be great too. If you can't do much cuz i've given you almost zero useful information, let me know and I'll try and dig up more about the sub. thanks

Hey FI... I am looking to order a recone kit for my RE SX 12, and I have a couple questions... How long does it take to make/ship a Dual 1 ohm recone kit with a red FI logo? Does it matter what coils are in it right now, because I don't know what they are, neither of them are any good so I can't test them? Thank you

Got some of the recone glue for a 12" Q Got the 60oz (have some other subs to do too) My question is, what is the mix ratio? I'd assume that its 2:1 (Black:clear) Just don't want to mess it up. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I was very interested in having Fi rebuild my tc-3000 I dont know what re-cone kits you all have available or any specs on them. I would much rather deal over the phone if possible. It is a tc-3hp motor with the quick swap basket. It is 15" and I would like it to remain 15" the box I am using is 2.94 cubic feet tuned to 34 hz with 56 square inches of port. I would like the re-cone to be able to handle around 1500 watts at 1 ohm. What do you all have available, what are the prices, and would I have to send it in to you? Would I use my existing basket or would that need to be replaced?

hey, I have an old model 8" assassin s4, and my coil is shot, is there anyway i'd be able to recone this, would be willing to go to a larger basket size if thats what's needed also looking for a TC-1000 8" recone, the cone broke around the edge of the surround, anyone have any idea what to do about this? thanks andar

Are there any issues right now with reconing IB3's? My 18" IB3 was delivered to Fi car audio 10/19/2010.

I just ordered 2 recone kits for my FI BL 12's that are fully loaded from when FI was doing 4 inch voice coils in the BL's. I am trying to find out through FI if the recone kits i ordered can be offered with the 4 inch voice coil and if not will the recone kits i ordered work for my subs?? I left a note in the comments on my order but no response yet from FI.

Alright, I never thought i would have this much trouble dealing with you guys but to me 3 weeks is plenty enough time to receive a re-cone kit. Or at least for it to ship. This is my last ditch effort in trying to get it sorted out. I placed my order 4/28 invoice number (I-16276/00) and still have not received it. You guys sent me a link to ups which on their page said a label had been created but nothing shipped. This becoming ridiculous if it isn't already. It seems to me that you guys need to back up, regroup and take a look at your business practices. Not putting a phone number on your website should have been a clue to me. hey the other day my friend was moving his enclosure (with sub in it) and it slipped out of his hand and when it hit the floor the motor snapped rite off of the basket. so what im wondering is how much would a 18" basket and a recone kit be for his btl. the motor is daily, and universal... he would like it to be dual 1 ohm. it was fully loaded, 3rd magnet, ect. he wants it to be the same as it was. also he has a 18" 05 re xxx that is messing up and he is wondering about a recone kit for that too. tried sending you guys a pm but inbox is full. any help is vary much appreciated. so what is it with fi customer service :/ do they not give you a shipping / payment confirmation email at the least? I ordered a recone kit on friday may 22nd before 3pm and have yet to hear a damn peep from anyone @ fi yet they had no problem communicating with me through email pre-payment being sent... i'd like to not put fi under the shitty customer service category, but it's heading that way. i sent out an e-mail to scott / nick / recone / orders @ ficaraudio.com, hopefully I get some kinda results. I trust everything will be resolved, but when? how long must I wait? if it hasn't even been processed and shipped yet i'll be pretty effin pissed..

I ordered a recone kit w/ basket for a Q. Wondering what all is included with this recone kit--push terminals, bolts for basket to motor, shim, CA glue, etc.? I'd like to have everything on hand when kit comes in.

I emailed you guys about getting a recone done for a older style 12" BTL sub. I needed a broken lead tinsel fixed and the dustcap replaced but Nick said that you guys were going to do a full recone anyways. Nick was emailing back for a couple of emails and then he just stopped without giving me a price quote or address to send the sub and how to pay for it.
