hi Scott, I need to know if you are now shipping BTLs with new tinsel. So i got my FI Q back from a recone like 2 weeks ago. and since it's been hooked up i hear like a rattling type of sound when the bass hits during the majority of songs (some sound fine usually the loud bass songs) i went next to the sub to hear where it was coming from and it sounds like it's coming from the sub itself any idea as why this would be happening? Also if i put my back seats up (my box sits flush with the back seats so the sub faces the cabin while i drive so with the seats up the sub is touching the back seats limiting it's excursion) the sound dissapears and it sounds like clean bass on any song but since it is limiting it's excursion it is noticeably quiet…

Well im getting the 2ohm Fi 18 BL and i found an amp that has 2ohm 1000wattrms with 2000W MAX,,,,,,other amps with a max of 1000W have a 2ohm 500w RMS,,,,,,,what do i need for my subwoofer 1000W RMS i guess??? Can someone tell me whats the difference betwee 4ohm,2 ohm,and 1 ohm,and what do they do???

Hi i'm in the process of building my box for the 15" BTL, I wanna know how long the port will have to be to have a tuning of 32hz. My dimensions are 40 x 20 x 20 with double bracing 3/4" MDF. i did the math and with the double bracing, the internal volume is roughly 7.5 cubes. I wanna know how long the port will have to be at 4", 5" and 6" tall. Thx guys, Fi rocks

Ok so everything is ordered and should be here within a week. Car: 2000 explorer Materials: -Alpine cde-102 H/U -18" Fi BL with Cooling, Flatwind. D2, wired to 1 ohm. -Sundown 1500D -8cu ft. box tuned to 32hz. -KNU 1/0 amp wiring kit. -RCA's, etc all form knu -12 gauge speaker wire from KNU Too start of this is just a quick run through to make sure everything is right. I have a fi bl 18 dual 2 fully loaded. Just wondering what amps u guys run on urs and can they be made to sound decent in a really well built box?

I still haven't received my subs!! A tracking email was sent to me on Monday, March 5th and the delivery date was supposed to be Friday, March 9th and it is now the 13th.. Anybody else have a similar problem?

Thanks a million Scott for helping me get my SX recone kit. it took me a while but i finally got the order in and finally received the recone kit for this sub that's been sitting around for over a year. the packaging was EXCELLENT. nothing on the box shifted around or got banged up. well in the order i completely forgot to mention that i need CA Glue. though buying a recone kit i would have assumed that you send out CA glue with the kit, but anyways, How about can i get some CA Glue to set this sub up? if i have to buy it since the order was completed please let me know.

hey i recently recieved my btl 15" and installed it in the box that i designed and built its a 4.4 cube slot port box tuned to 34hz and i have it on my 1500.1bd running about 1600 watts rms and i took a few videos earlier and when i was done i noticed that the cone was really hot on it....not so hot you couldnt keep your finger on it but it was pretty damn hot.....why is this i was planning on getting another 1500.1bd and strapping them......is the one 1500.1bd enough for it i thought these things were built for power

I got a BL 15" and i only got the cooling option. can it handle 1500W from a sundown saz1500d? is that a good amp? or would you recommend something else with less/more power?

I emailed you guys about getting a recone done for a older style 12" BTL sub. I needed a broken lead tinsel fixed and the dustcap replaced but Nick said that you guys were going to do a full recone anyways. Nick was emailing back for a couple of emails and then he just stopped without giving me a price quote or address to send the sub and how to pay for it. nice little sub here. these were ordered for a friend of mine to replace some old old old kenwoods in a pre-fab bandpass box. i don't know how well they would do in them but i'm sure it would be pretty good. here are a few pics. i won't be able to give a review till monday or tuesday as i'm going up to sarasota tonight, then orlando tomorrow, then miami on sat, then back home. so yeah. thanks Fi.
