So i got my FI Q back from a recone like 2 weeks ago. and since it's been hooked up i hear like a rattling type of sound when the bass hits during the majority of songs (some sound fine usually the loud bass songs) i went next to the sub to hear where it was coming from and it sounds like it's coming from the sub itself any idea as why this would be happening? Also if i put my back seats up (my box sits flush with the back seats so the sub faces the cabin while i drive so with the seats up the sub is touching the back seats limiting it's excursion) the sound dissapears and it sounds like clean bass on any song but since it is limiting it's excursion it is noticeably quiet…

hey i recently recieved my btl 15" and installed it in the box that i designed and built its a 4.4 cube slot port box tuned to 34hz and i have it on my 1500.1bd running about 1600 watts rms and i took a few videos earlier and when i was done i noticed that the cone was really hot on it....not so hot you couldnt keep your finger on it but it was pretty damn hot.....why is this i was planning on getting another 1500.1bd and strapping them......is the one 1500.1bd enough for it i thought these things were built for power

i need help on desiding between a 15 inch fi bl or the si mag d2 its going in te trunk of a mustang 01 in a custom ported box and a HIFONICS BXi1206D amp so i never heard nether of theese subs so i need som opinons on which you think you be better for the amp and car and of corse witch sounds the best

I havent really seen anyone hook 3 subs up to one amp, is this possible without causing big impedence problems. If it is, what would be a good amp to run 3 1ohm subs, or should i get the 2 ohm version?

If my friend were to get a SSD 12" or 15" which opitions should he get? And what would those opitions do for the sub? Oh yeah the amp that will used is a Rockford T5001bd(500x1 at 1ohm but WAY underated.

well, i got on fi site to order my ssd 18's, and noticed first that there was no charge now for the cooling option on the bl's. When did they change it, and does anybody know if they have the magnets or whatever they were waiting on for the BL's? I may be able to just go ahead and get the BL now, well order one now and one in couple weeks. thanks

Hi, im jay, i was wondering about the SSD15, I noticed it is 800W RMS if i wired it @ dual 2 ohm to make it 4, AND put it on a [XLS crown802] which would give it 800W@4ohm perchannel, and 2100@4 bridged, Do you think it could power it? and if so how about 2 of em from the bridged? thank you and please respond respnd back if possible! Also what would i need to tune it to to listen to NUTTIN but low, around 28-32herts? thx! -jay

Hey guys I need some fast help......Through a friend of a friend I know somebody selling a fully loaded btl 15" 1 ohm......only problem is I want to put it in a 2002 cavalier trunk and I am not sure it will fit. It does not come with a box right now so I will have to have one made....my question should I even bother buying the sub? Is there any chance of being able to make this beast fit lol.....I know I should go get my trunk measurements but its late and dark were I live so I will have to get that tomorrow. Hey I'm just wondering when you guys swithced from one big magnet to 4 pie shapped magnet like on the new RE XXX's? Is thier any increase in power handling, and is thier anything internaly diff with them? Can they be ran with another new BTL that has the old style single magnet? Heres some pics not my sub I seen it on another forum. I remember some subs having pie shapped wedges between the basket and motor was that the cooling before and you switched to this or was that just a spacer for more excursion because some times i seen them on them and some times i dont.

i have just bought two 15 fi bl's daul 2 used on cl. i knew one was going to need a recone so am planning on doing both. I'm running a mtx 81000d to one in a ported box i threw together just to see what each one sounded like box is little over 3 1/2 cubes, an tuned at 32. i get a clipping/slapping sound from the speaker when i turn my gain up past 1/2 way with the vol turned up on the head unit. an (h.u. settings are flat). question: could i just be clipping it? does anyone else get a leed noise? how can i tell what year it is for recone purpose? I'm going to order four 10 " Q's to be mounted sealed each connected to it's own Alpine PDX 1.1000 , ( all 4 were benched at 1200 RMS ) , my question is BP power or no BP power , i have seen posts where they were said to perform wonderfully under 1000 watts , and many more that stated they could take more , so i'm confused as to if i should BP them or nt please answer , thank you Dan
