I posted this question already in the technical category and only got an answer from JimJ ( thank you ) , and would appreciate more feedback so that i may place my order Asap , so i'm starting over in the general section hoping for more opinions , thank you . I'm going to order four 10 " Q's to be mounted sealed each connected to it's own Alpine PDX 1.1000 , ( all 4 were benched at 1200 RMS ) , my question is BP power or no BP power , i have seen posts where they were said to perform wonderfully under 1000 watts , and many more that stated they could take more , so i'm confused as to if i should BP them or nt please answer , thank you Dan

Hey guys, been awhile since I have been on here to pick your brains. I had my Charger SRT, got it set up nicely, and realized I really dislike cars so I sold it and got a F150, 4 door. Every truck I have had I put a fiberglass lid on the back and did a blowthrough going into the cab. I have always been happy with that, but could never haul anything. In keeping with a truck theme, I am planning on keeping the back open this time. To get a decent amount of bass I would like to rip out the back seat and put two individual seat in there and build a custom fiberglass console running up to the front seat, maybe a little further. I've been waiting for almost TWO weeks to see the BTL Recones back up on the site. What is going on here?? I have several competitions that is just going to go past me and nothing is happening with the BTL service. I mean I really like the subs but the service for BTL that i've been receiving is very horrible. Im on the verge on switching over to RE and purchase the XXX's. Can someone please give me a answer on these Recones for the BTL's??

I had a pair of Q 12's sealed and wasnt a fan. Loved one ported but had trouble selling single. I got good deal on a BL 10. Whats optimum tune for daily. I read 32hz. If I tune it to 30 would it be noticeable difference.

hi its me again, i currently have a bl15 great sub, Ive seen people seem to like more the 18 inch subs better than 15" are 18 that much better, i see they need a big box but would the output be that much better if yes what percentage increase do you guys think i can get with a 18". Now my other question how can i make a box for one that is going to be in my caddy devilles trunk i cant go higher than 19 inches tall for the box and i dont think i would make it becuase the sub is 18" plus box material .75, so can i make a box facing up and port facing to the back of the trunk?? would that sound good in a car?? thanks again and comments are apreciated.

No the sub isnt playing yet, i only have 2. The other 2 get here monday and i WILL make a vid of them moving........this is just a video perspective of what they look like instead of the pics i posted. It looks bigger in the video i think. Hi, i own a 15" dual 2 BL running off a xtr2400 old school orion amp. ATM i'm running 1200watts(4ohms) to my 15. I recently owned a xtr1000, which ran 1000watts at 1ohm to my 15(which is why i have the dual 2 setup, and im an idiot for not getting universal option). But anyways now that i own this beastly amp, i would like to get the most out of it. I am thinking of buying another dual 2 15 BL and being able to wire it to 2ohms OR selling(craigslist) my 15 and buying a new 15 BTL dual 1 of course. To sums things up, what would be better output, loudness, slammin' balls wise: 2 15 BL'S or 1 15 BTL. And im sorta on a money budget right now... Greatly appreciate yalls thoug…

I know what the universal option is for but I was wondering does this make the sub weaker? I'm ordering two dual 1s and it says if you don't get the universal option then your sub will be optimized per the coil resistance. Any help would be appreciated.

Im sick of changing my mind lol.. Basiclly, I found someone else with the same jeep as me and he says that side firing is the best for ours because the port needs room to load, and it doesn't have the room it needs firing directly into the rear hatch. Any truth to that? How much of a difference is it going to make going from 6 cubes with 96sq/in of port area to 8 cubes with 128 Sq/in of port area? Can someone help me design the box. I mean I have the basic design down, But I need to know how to do the port. Cause I am lost.

I have a 2004 GS300 and my trunk is sealed off from the cabin, and have never owned a car that seats didnt fold down and this cars' doesnt and doesnt have a passthrough through the rear arm rest either.. So this may be a stupid question but will i get enough bass in the cabin of my car? I plan on ordering a 12'' Fi BL dual 2ohm ported probably at 32hz.. 1000w at 1ohm.. Thanks

What would be the best amps for 4 BTL 15"s

i have just bought two 15 fi bl's daul 2 used on cl. i knew one was going to need a recone so am planning on doing both. I'm running a mtx 81000d to one in a ported box i threw together just to see what each one sounded like box is little over 3 1/2 cubes, an tuned at 32. i get a clipping/slapping sound from the speaker when i turn my gain up past 1/2 way with the vol turned up on the head unit. an (h.u. settings are flat). question: could i just be clipping it? does anyone else get a leed noise? how can i tell what year it is for recone purpose? If my friend were to get a SSD 12" or 15" which opitions should he get? And what would those opitions do for the sub? Oh yeah the amp that will used is a Rockford T5001bd(500x1 at 1ohm but WAY underated.

I have a 99 navigator that I just got and am getting ready to put a system in. I am strongly considering the FI BTL 18" sub and would like to get a fosgate t40001bd amp. However, the price increased from last time i looked so the t20001bd is probably in my price range moreso then the t40001bd. I will be getting the sub fully loaded and am fairly unexperienced with high quality subs and amps. My first question is how does a single 18 sound and should I go with dual 1 ohm or dual 2 ohm coils. Will the t20001bd (2000 watts rms @ 1 ohm) be enough to power this sub and make it hit the way it should, or should i go with a different brand of amp ($700 budget)? Finally, would I n…

I got 2 15" Fi Bl's with P chamfer, cooling, flatwind coil. I wanna recone them to 18"s. What would be the price for 2 18" recones with P chamfer, cooling, flatwind coil and 2 18" baskets and whatever else would be needed

I am trying to send my sub into you guys for a recone, and assuming I should ship it to the general address. I can't get a hold of anyone at your company to verify that this is the address that I should ship my sub to for a recone, and I don't want to blindly ship it out to an address without getting confirmation from you guys.
