But are the FI's temp pricing or should they try to keep within relation to inflation of cost? Would it be ok to put the subs forward and port back into the car through the arm rest in the back seat. I was thinkin of doin sealed, but think i am hooked on ported enclosures. i will be doin a small cut-through behind the arm rest in the back seat where it could port into the car. what do you more experienced installers think??? Also, would I be better off using aero ports pointing into this opening or just use the basic port?

Hey guys, I was out at a local SPL 2x Show here and ran my Q 18's Off my JBL BP1200.1 in a 16.8CuFt box Tuned to 25Hz (Its made for LSQ not SPL My highest was a 143.7dB @ 36Hz !! Taking 1st in Street Max 1-2 NW And in bass Race I was competing in the semi finals and finished in 3rd with an average of 134.7 in the 139.9 runs It was awesome, i love these subs they are bottom end beasts... Next show in sept im gonna try an SPL box for em to see how they do tuned higher with more power.. I cooked my JBL on the Last run hehehhehe

im lookin into buyin an fi bl, and i have an RF T10001bd amp rated at 1486 watts at 1 ohm, would this be enough power for a daily BL if it is wat options should i consider?? i was thinkin get just the cooling (i also got a kicker zx1500.1 rated at 1706 watts at 2 ohms, and i would get the sub loaded w/out extreme leads) thanks

got my FI bl 18" metered today @ 141.1 db on music with a single stock battery. i dropped down to about 137.0 db within 10-15 secs. will a second battery give me a lesser or greater then a 141.1 db? going to fix box as well. (baffle,bracing, rounding off, ect.)

My 15" Fi BL is powered by an American Bass VFL 150.1 at 1 ohms...Just recently installed the Epic 160..Last night actually..Not finished installing, still need to fill in the gaps around it with some vinyl pieces...Anyway..Here is a quick video of it..On the Epic I am getting 142 db's with the back seats up..I do have blow through in my rear deck..But the seat is still Up..

2 18" bl's in 11.8 cubes @ 35 hz: sq: sq is not the best, but certainly not even close to the worst. you have to remember i have owned 2 different gen magnums, and have listened to my friends xxx pretty extensively. the average user will be satisfied with the sq. the audiophile probably will not...but these woofers weren't designed to be the upper echelon for sq anyways, so im not really taking anything away from these woofers. spl: pretty **** good if you ask me. are being ran off a kx2500.1 with a birthsheet of 2.9kw @ 2 ohms. wired @ 1 ohms with gains set to give roughly 3k. the certainly punch pretty good. i have had to drill my rear hatch glass hinges and put bolts t…

I was flippin through the new issue of Truckin and had to ask this. why is it that in all these magazines, with these amazing trucks, the subs in the bed of the truck point towards the tailgate. I am assuming cause they do this there may not be a blowthrough, never really could tell. even if there was, what would be the point of pointin the subs this way? is it just show?

I had an accident with my sx15 with dual 2's. And want a price quote for a recone. I'm not sure why but in my particular install the sx15 was .5 dbs louder than a FI Audio Bl15 with p chamfer, dual 2's, daily, and custom coils. So what I am wondering is if I buy the recones from you all can I be sure that it will still be as loud as the original SX or louder? If so how much for the recones and how long will it take to receive them? Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks a million Scott for helping me get my SX recone kit. it took me a while but i finally got the order in and finally received the recone kit for this sub that's been sitting around for over a year. the packaging was EXCELLENT. nothing on the box shifted around or got banged up. well in the order i completely forgot to mention that i need CA Glue. though buying a recone kit i would have assumed that you send out CA glue with the kit, but anyways, How about can i get some CA Glue to set this sub up? if i have to buy it since the order was completed please let me know.

well if someone could pm me with a price on reconeing a 18 to a 15 and part two is it possiable to fit 2 btl15's in a box 36wx30 or less deepx20h with a interchangeable port one at around 45-50hz and one at low to mid 30hz. well originaly i was gonna get a BLT fully loaded for daily driving.. BUT NOW im not sure if i should run a BL or the BTL... ive heard of people running the BLs more for daily.... heres what i got a RF amplifier benched at 1,620watts RMS at 1ohm.... and only running a single 12inch sub. currently im running a 12inch REaudio SX sub BUT............ it overheats and STINKS if i pump it to much... which i know IS BAD!!!!!! and well i KNOW im overpowering that sucker.LOL since its only rated at 1K watts. and well iwant more bass but still good SQ cause my subwoofer setup is front firing into the cabin and i drive it DAILY! which would you guys think would be the BEST DAILY DRI…

All week I have been sitting around like a kid on Christmas eve and finally she arrived yesterday. I dropped her in and added a run of 2/0 welding wire as a ground for better voltage. I am soon to be adding a HO alt and finishing my big 3 off with better wire. Anywho all I can say is wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww this sub is loud as hell. First setup I had that really hurts my ears. Like really hurts them and the thing that I like the most I still have more left in it as far as tuning it. I would like to say that to the ear thus far this setup is far louder than my 2 12" ssds on the same power. Only thing different is I actually built the box for my 15" as opposed with the 12"s …

Could you guys @ Fi recone a Poweramper XP2 18" if your not familiar with that it's identical in everyway to a old school Juggernaut. Please any help would be greatly appericated. It has a 3" VC but I'm not sure about the diameter of the spiders.

Couple quick and dumb questions. This is my first SQ vehicle and I am not sure about a couple things. I know I will be going with Q's, keep hearin these things are amazin. For SQ, what is better, sealed or ported. I was thinkin about maybe 2 12's or 4 10's. any input is good though. I want something that can possibly give me the opportunity for little competitions.

Anybody have any sealed number for a Q? Preferably a 15. FI's site says that the Q is made for good SQ and output in a sealed box; but everyone I see puts it in a ported box and gives numbers that way. Even The Great 12" Challenge by on ROE only tested the Q in a ported box. I don't get it. -C

I got rid of my G35 and bought an Explorer which I decided not to keep, so I got myself an '07 Dodge magnum. I have a pair of Q15's and a US Amps MD2 running off of a hi-lo converter on the stock system, and it still sounds tremendous. In a couple weeks I am installing a new HU and some mids and highs, but mu question for you is....What subs would you run in a Magnum if you were going for a LOUD daily ground pounder that would meter well. Meaning, not an all out SPL setup. Stick with the Q's? Get a pair of 15" BTL's? A single 18" BTL? My new baby...

Finally got around to videoing my 15" Fi SSDs once I got them proper power.. Am running them off of 1600 watts now.. They are in a 8ft^3 net enclosure tuned to 33hz.. You can tell how they slaughter the lows from the videos..The flex is still much more noticeable in person than it is in the videos.. These dudes move some air!
