Need a little guidance. Here are my application parameters: Wakeboard Boat (open air for the most part, so no cabin gain/transfer function) 4 cf to work with Zapco c2k 9.0 amp (2 x 1100w rms) Here are the two options I am considering: 2 x Fi Q 15's in a sealed box, approx 4 cf 2 x Fi BLs 12's in ported box For the 15s I gain cone area but am forced to go sealed. For the 12's I gain a vented enclosure, but lose cone area. It is an open air environment and will be listed to mostly while underway, so there will be a lot of engine and wind noise to overcome. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I have 2 15" Fi Q's that I'm thinking about having reconed into 18's. They are the old style with bp power, could you guys add the extra spider to it with the recone? And how would I ship them, since I dont have the original boxes? Will they be alright on a SAZ 3000d with the extra spider, and bp power?

hey everyone. im brand new to both the sight and the system world. i am going to be setting up my first system and im wanna go all out. the only problem is i cant deciede if i should get the Qs of the Xs. ive heard amazing things about both. im more concerned on SQ but i would will to sacrifice alittle in order to be loud. i drive a bmw 530i so size is defently a factor. i am not set on ported/sealed yet but im leaning more twords sealed. i have a 140 amp alterantor in and i was planning on getting a AQ1200d but am open for suggestions seeing that yall all have experince. budget isnt really an issue. any helpp is greatly appericated and thanks in advanche. sorry if my po…

As of now, I've got a SAZ-2500D and the electrical to back it up, so it's time to get a new sub to be powered! Here's my dilemma: I've always had 15's and experimented thoroughly with them in my car, but I feel as though it would be fun to venture into the world of 18's. However, I can only get up to about 5-5.5 cu. ft. net in my trunk. I would put the 15" in about 4.5 cu. ft. tuned to around 30 Hz. This has shown to provide a fairly non-peaky curve in my car, while being efficient and very, very low. Now, if I stuff an 18" in 5.5 cu. ft. and tune it to 30-32 Hz, will this make it significantly peakier? Will the lows be better or worse? Do you think it would be louder (pe…

so i am finally getting ready to buy an amp for the subs i am going to get. i am going to get 2 fi audio ssd 12 when they r available in a bandpass box. i wanted to make sure before i bought this amplifier that it is going to do the job and bump these subs. i can get that sub for 250 bucks so i think it is a great deal, and reviews say it is really good so let me know what you guys think about it.

Okay. For starters i have very limited space. And enough money for either of these. And an amp to power it. Max dimensions i have are 30 wide, 17 deep, and 14 wide. I know that i can fit a sealed box for either of them in this space. But i'm torn between if the 12 sealed will be loud or not. I know sealed will be better sound quality. But i want good sound quality. And plenty of loud. Like. PLENTY loud. Basically i'm wondering if the 12 will be louder sealed than the 10 will be ported.

Hey guys.. just a prospective Fi Audio customer. Wanted to know a couple of things.. in terms of RMS.. for the 2010 BTL N312 is 3000 the max rms? Also what would be the peak then.. i'm figuring that the max would be 6000, but not sure. Another question... i know that a subwoofer's so called "loudness" has to do with the box and proper electrical and amplifier... but what would be a better sounding sub in accordance with reggae and rap.. as in deep tones.. the SOLOX or N312? Thanks. please explain pros and cons of each. Much Appreciated!

hey nick and scott. when can we expect the n3 to come out, id like to start budgeting as i will be ready to purchase next friday. also can we discuss rough estimates on pricing for the n3, and nsg??? i know the other guys are curious since the sign that says "n3's will be available in 2 weeks" has been up for 4 weeks now lol i need an spl powerhouse sub, thats why id prefer the nsg. but due to budget constrictions i may not be able to. a single 18" n3 seems to be my goal. thankyou chris

I know there are tons of forums out there comparing the two but I do not want just simple answers like "just get the Bl" or "go with the Q". I am wanting to know how much of a sacrifice in SQ do you make in going with the 12" Bl. How much of a sacrifice is there in SPL when getting the 12 "Q? Ive got a saz-1500d and a 6th order bandpass built for a Q. But i was beginning to get second thoughts about the Q so I wanted to get some advice. I dont want to sound like 2 l7's as far as SQ, I would really like to mimic the sound of a W7. Iv heard one of those and they sound pretty nice. I guess im about 65/35 in terms of SQ v Spl. My main goal is to sound clean and powe…

Looking to pick up a 15" Fi Q. What enclosure is it more suited to? I do not have a preference ported or sealed and I am capable of building either, just like to know which more naturally suits the driver. Car is a 2008 Dodge Charger R/T. 140 amp alternator, big three, Cadence ZRS-7000D (1.3kw @ 1 ohm). Maximum interior volume is 3.5 cubic feet and not an inch more. That does not include the port, so if it's ported then subtract the port volume from that. Also, if I want to run it sealed, is high QTS option mandatory?

LOL I am on this form to learn more about all this and appreciate everyones help and input. I feel like I am semi knowlegeable to the basics of car stereo but don't have much expereience listening to high quality systems (most people I know just have bottem end subwoofers from walmart with crappy amps etc. like most of the population lol, which is fine for them im just saying I want better) I have a 2009 Dodge Charger R/T I am would like to buy an Fi subwoofer or 2 that will AT LEAST sound better …

Hey everyone! I want to buy a new one 15" Fi BTL-N2 dual 2, fullly loadded daily version, but there is one problem. I don't know how many power woofer can handle daily. I have a amp with a lot of power and this is DD Z2lv this amp has around 8.5kW @ 1 ohm. Can this sub handle too much power? Yes, I know that I must turn gain down, but I buy this amp, because I think that better more power and than gained down than have amp with less power which clipped at maximum. I think to set my gain on amp to watch excursion. I want to know how is the durability at the maximum excursion? Can sub handle this? Please post your experiences at this power. Thanks!
