I am looking to replace my Fi X 12 with a better all around sub. I know that the Bl is a better spl sub than the Q but i want to retain some sq. So my question is, by how much does the Bl outperform the Q as far as spl goes?

We have added the 4" coil option to the BL Series. It bumps the power handling up from 1000W to 1500W. You can still order the cooling and other features to further enhance the subs as well. Extra $50 for a 4" coiled monster... Thanks, Scott

I'm going to be powering a BTL N2 15 soon enough and have never owned a BTL before. I'm not asking "how many wattz to make my sub thump," I'm more or less asking if, for daily applications in 4.5 cu ft tuned to 30 hz, the extra 1k watts will make a difference/if the BTL can handle sustained power for a long period of time. Also, I will have an Autocraft Gold batt with a 200 amp h/o alt and Big 3 in 1/0. So please just give me some opinions/what you would do. Thanks all!

The X is a 10, the BTLs are 12s. I haven't put any power to them, I just got home at 9 and unboxed them. I might do some free air to one tomorrow only off of about 900 watts though. The suspension on the BTL is super stiff, you have to push very hard on the cone just to get it to move a centimeter. The build quality is fantastic, clearly American made. I put a bag of screws up against the neo, well when I try to pull the bag of screws off, the plastic came off but all the screws still stuck on and it took some effort to get them off. The dustcap on the BTL has a flat finish and I like it much more than the X. On the bottom of the motors it has a neat little acrylic plate …

My Background: Middle aged; love music; not a basshead, Fi or any other brand “fanboy”. Definitely SQ not SPL. Received my 10” sub on 12/10 ordered on Black Friday. Packaging was great, very simple and effective. Loved the condensed general sub use “advice” on the outside……nothing new here, but the inexperienced should read and heed. Out of the box: what a nice quality build. Where can you get a sub with a cast frame and of this build quality for this price, USA built? Only here and now. Can’t beat the new sub smell, and I always feel like a kid opening a Christmas present anytime the delivery folks bring me something (and I try to act surprised if the wife is present). I…

I didn't realized these were still up on the sight for sale. I notice that it says they are the old school X's, does that mean the same ones that were for sale last year during black friday? I would love to get another 12 to match the one I bought last year, even though I have no need for it.

I really like the BTL's but I'm torn between the N1 and the N2. I need a 18 that sounds great and handles 2000-2500 watts daily. The N2 may work but I don't know what the sound quality is like for that sub. Any help from a BTL veteren would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have two Kicker 12" L7s, I absolutely hate the sound quality they have, but the SPL is OK. I am looking for a SINGLE 18" Sub, what would be the best? I want it to be louder than the kickers, but sound a lot better SQ wise. Would the Q18 be louder than two 12" kicker L7s?

I'm trying to finish up my system in my Dodge MegaCab and I'm down to picking the woofers... this is my last remaining ? of my system. I've used a lot of FI for my customers and my installs and there's no question they get nasty when setup correctly. But i'm currently stumped on this build for myself.... My box will be 7.5cuft and I'm trying to decide whether i'm going to be using 2 BL 15's or 2 BL18's... I'm not using the BTL's because I don't have the air space and I believe the BL's are a better Daily pounding woofer then the BTLs. I'm going to be running a single Rockford Fosgate 2500.1bd that has a birth certificate of 3,135 watts. Should be perfect for the 15s or…

  19. Woo. 177 bucks to my door. I mean how can you argue with that? Already have a 600 watt plate amp. So that's basically 177 dollars for bass in my room thats gonna easily equal the 600 dollar premade setups out there. Helluva deal. IMO Sure the IB setup would be better, but I can't cut a hole in in my wall at the moment. Gonna run sealed and maybe two separate boxes to position the sound better.

Heres my question I was going to do a budget 4 15s build. I originally was going to do kicker comp vr but after I looked at the ts on the 15 inch x series I think I could get better low end out of it vs comp vr (sealed enclosure) so I was wondering how many extra watts would the x take with the bp option as I have a mb quart dsc 2000.1 and I don't want to damage the subs.

I currently have two kicker CVX 12" subs running off a powerbass asa 1500.1Dx, which is 1.5krms at 1 ohm. I want to go to a fi bl 15 fully loaded, but i dont want it to be much quieter than my cvx's. Which do you guys think would be better in terms of SQ, SPL, and just generallly shaking the car? Also, what do you guys think of the amp? everyone online says they make rated power, but a local dealer in town says it makes no where near rated.

Just wondering if you guys can make a kit for a newer split coil RE XXX? I know your site says you can do 2005 and older XXX but this one's a little different. Can the basket be used or is a standard basket needed? Let me know a quote. I know Scott isn't going to be in the office til Friday so I'm making this thread just in case he doesn't get the email. Thanks.
