hey everybody im new to the forum but im really looking to support FI and need some help .. i plan on buying 2 12 inch subwoofers but im not sure if i should go with 2 Q's or 2 BL's .. i would get dual 1 ohm on each so i could have a final load of 1 ohm. i plan on wiring them to a Rockford Fosgate Punch P1000. my question is wich subs would be better for a solid hard hitting low , something that will take your breath away almost. i aprreciate all opinions

I think you guys at FI need more descriptive information on each speaker. On how each driver reacts to different enclosures and how each driver compares to another. If i was a new customer coming to your site i wouldnt know which woofer would suite my needs just with the information provided on the website. Im not trying to bash you guys in any way. Just more info would be good. Thanks James

hi i purchased my sub couple months ago its a Q d1, im runnin it on a mtx te1501d 1000rms in a 2.5cu box at 32hz at 2 ohm and i have all the options on the sub and its used daily, few days ago i noticed it wasnt bumping as hard still worked then all the sudden on my drive home today smelled somethin smoking and my sub went out , pulled everything apart wasnt the amp pulled the sub and soon as i pulled it out the box a bunch of smoke, the cone was cracked and broke away when i touched it, do i need a recone or what i thought runnin it at the 2ohm would set me staright for daily use didnt think it would abuse it too much, am i wrong, pls help thank you

Got my setup running yesterday and it hits the top end of the spectrum with ease I am finding the lows are a little lacking ? (16cuft wall, tuned to 30hz) They are brand new subs and the suspension is super stiff, will playing them over time make the lows better ? Reason bein my previous Re Mx install played the lows very well straight away.

Do I really need the Hixmcoil option on a 15" Btl? It states that if u use the sub for daily bumping then Fi suggest that option. But if u must have it for daily bumping then should the Hixmcoil be standard/stock instead of a option(If you choose daily option)?
