I have two 18" BL's with all the upgrades and the daily option. I proposed to put them in a wall (around 8cuft per sub) and power them off a Trutech Hammer each (1.5kw per sub) Now I've managed to get my hands on a 5kw amp and was wondering how much power can the BL's realistically take without dying on a daily basis ?

ok guys im going to get the fi q in a 12" with a hifons bxi1608D amp and im just gettin 1 sub... im getting it this summer but next summer i might upgrade to another... what should i do for a subwoofer box for now should i get a good one so if i dont want another sub i dont need another box... or if i do get another sub get a single sub box then ill have 2 or get a dual sub box... im getting the boxes made from fisher customs.... will the hifonics amp power 2 subs good? and do you have any other or more suggestions

Hey everyone, I'm pretty new to this car audio thing, but I've been doing alot of research on what subwoofer I should get. I have a Alpine MRP-650 amp, and I was concidering buying the SSD12 sub. I have a ported box already built, to what I believe is the right size. I was just wondering if the sub will be under-powered. I would be buying the Dual 2-Ohm sub I believe. Thanks for any help

I just sold my 15" Q and am looking at going back to a dual 12" setup. I liked the sound of the 15" Q but truthfully wanted some of my trunk back and it seemed to lack a bit on the higher frequencies. I'm looking at running a dual 12" setup with 1.1 ft^3 per sub running off a SAZ-1500D @ 1ohm. I'm looking at the SSDs now but want to get your opinions on them in this setup and any options I should possibly get. The 15" Q had the BP power option and was in a 2.6ft^3 sealed enclosure. I'm looking for most SQ since with the 1500D it'll get plenty loud for my daily driving needs. No competition or anything like that. Thanks.

ok. so i was getting the phoenix gold rsd 1200.1 but they do not carry it anymore. So now i have to look into these two amps. since i got a universal fi bl 12, i can go one ohm or 2 ohm right? so here are my 2 amps to decide between Run a jbl 1400.1 at 2 ohms or Run a hifonics bxi1608 at 1 ohm please give me some feedback on what would be better THank you

I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about the motors that they are puttin in the BTL's...I had sent my BTL back for repairs, and they told me that they were waiting on new motors, magnets, and whatever else...they said that i would be one of the first ones with the new BTL...So just wanted 2 know if anyone heard about that...

Ok so I only had enough money to buy 1 FI BTL 15" so my plans are to buy a cheap 30 dollar prefab box until i can order the other 15 and then make a custom dual 15 sub enclosure. Besides reinforcing the prefab box so my BTL doesn't blow it apart will i get better bass response from a bigger box? Thanks-Blake

Alright either want 1 10" Q with BP Power or 1 12" SSD with BP Power and either the copper or flatwind cable... How many watts should each handle and which one should i go with? I want more of an SQ setup but i also want people to hear me coming down the block when i feel like turning it up.

hey, i have a question, i have one mtx 15 inch 9500 in my truck now and my lease is up and im getting a suv. i want to have a set up that is spl and as loud as possible. so my question is- will it be better to get one more 15 9500 and get a dual ported box and toss it in the back or go with 2 18inch fi btl? I sold my Q to a buddy of mine about a month ago, and he just blew the leads on it. How much is a D2 recone going to cost shipped to 16365? I've never reconed before, is it that hard? (I've already sent Nick an email with no reply, I do understand that you probably get 100 a day )

Maybe someone could give me some useful advice. I have two 12w6v2s in a sealed box powered by Planet Audio class D 1250 wtt amp dropped in a dodge stratus sedan. I want to upgrade to Fi 12" Q. My question is, does the FI Q pound harder than the w6v2? I know the w6v2 has a slighter higher spl db than the Q, but the Q can handle up to 1000 RMS as oppose to the 12w6v2, which can take up to 400 RMS. I am planning on keeping th same sealed enclosure I have right now. But I just want to make sure the Q will hit a lot harder than the w6v2 before I take this step. The w6 gets loud, but I'm just looking for something LOUDER. Anyone who has heard both subs, I would appreciate you…

Does anyone know if there is a big difference b/w the Fi SSD 15 and the Fi Q 15. If so, how do they differ, and on a scale of 1 to 10, what would u rate each sub? Thanks.

I just got my new fi 12 inch btl intalled. All I can say is wow. I heard that the it gets super low, but I can't believe how hard the bass drops on a single 12. I have a 2.5 cubit foot port box tuned to 32 hertz, Hifonics brutus 2608 amp, and Kinetic Hc 2400&1400. This is all in a 2007 FJ Cruiser. This woofer takes a beating like a champ.

I'm a really big fan of low bass tones (e.g. "Bass I Love You" or "Late Night Tip"). Would I be able to notice a big difference in the deep bass production between the SSD 10 and SSD 12? The only reason the 10" is even an option is because I already own a 10" sealed enclosure and I would like to avoid making/buying a 12" enclosure.

Im sure these are pretty much a toss up but to my calculations the AA Havoc has a higher VD rating and therefore would yield more output.. So Im wanting others peoples opnions as well. Im not quite sure what the specs are of a BL with Flatwind and cooling option so I used the specs from the homepage to compare. Also the system is going to consist of 4 12's on 2kwatts if not a little more to each driver.
