I've decided on the 12" SSD in a 1.6ft^3 sealed enclosure. I worked a trade with a friend for a new AudioQue AQ1200D. The AQ puts out 870rms @2 and 1200rms @1. Can the 12" SSD handle the 1200 @ 1 ohm or should I play it safe and get the D1 for a 2 ohm load and feed it the 870w?

I'm new to the car audio game and I was thinkin bout gettin 2 SSD 12s. What amp would get the best out of these in a sealed box?

will i have to give a btl 2500+ watts to power it correctly?

anyone running the ssd 15"? are the dual 2 ohms actually 1.5 ohm? can they handle 950ish watts daily? and can they run in sealed boxes?

Whats The Difference Between Dual 1 Or Dual 2 Subs? I Know That You Get To Choose Which One You Would Want, But Does It Depend On The Type Of Amp You Would Be Running?

Hey all, I just got my car back today from the shop. I have a Kicker ZX1000.1 hooked to a BL 15". I looked at the settings the shop owner left the amp at and was just wondering if he left them low or what. He has the Gain at 50% and the Bass boost at 3, goes up to 18. It was pretty loud on the way home and I still had not got the radio all configured so I'm just wondering here.

Hey guys, i was wondering if anyone has worked with with 2 12" Q's and know what the lengths of a good sealed enclosure would be? There are probably plenty of great types of enclosures for these subwoofers and i am willing to consider all of them. I am also trying to outperform 2 12" JL W6's and i know if i'm going to beat them i need to consider the size of the enclosure i use. Thanks for the help guys. P.S. I will also get a picture of my trunk later so i can show you what i can work with, and possibly get the dimensions of the box the JL's are in so if anyone can determine if the Fi's will beat them out if they were placed in the same exact box.

Hey guys. I'm planning out my setup and here is what i got so far. 15" Fi BTL - Fully Loaded. Going SPL not daily, and gonna run it at 1 Ohm Hifonics BXI2608D - Gonna put out 2600Watts at 1 ohm to the BTL (http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=6637) I'm also gonna buy an Optima yellow top as a secondary battery for my setup. (Or a Digital Capacitor i cant decide) Gonna try to use 4G power wires for everything. IS this gonna POUND? Or what? I'm kinda new to audio stuff. Is 2600 Watts too much to put out to the BTL? Any advice is appreciated. I Just need some feedback. Thanks guys!

There's been several threads comparing the Q's to the BL's and basically it's been summed up as the BL's get greater output and Q's thrive in the low 30's of frequency. However, many BL owners have said that the BL's handle their own down low. Two questions: has anyone had both tuned in low 30's that can accurately compare the two? Since I listen to rap/hip hop mostly, do sub 35Hz frequencies even apply to me? (I only ask because most ppl on here that say they listen to mainly rap get reccommended the BL over the Q) thx guys

i made this post on termpro but it belongs here as well...i'll give you guys the shortened version. i flush mounted the aero ports. four kinetik 2400s (one under the hood) entire box is double layered 3/4 mdf temporarily using two memphis 4kws till my four groundpounder 3000s arrive this month box is 28 gross 25 cubes net, 14" long aeros, 226 sq in of port heres the vid it did 152.0db at 33hz it'll peak at 36hz and does 153.0db @36hz its unnecessarily loud on the low notes tried a new port, 400 sq in flared slot using 8" pvc trying to raise my note but it didnt old setup did 152.0 at 33 this did 152.4 at 33hz. old setup did 153.0 at 36 this did 152.5 at 36hz.…

hi im planning to get 2x fi BL12's (cooling + flatwind)but live on a isolated island and every thing is pretty hard to comebuy. the plan is to get a saz 3000 d to run them but my electrical will struggle. till then... so how will 1750 RMS into 1 ohm push them for the time being? and lets say i build a fart box and use only one woofer will it take 2000 RMS into 0.5 ohms for 3 seconds or so? thx in advanse

How close can i put the back of my sealed enclosure to the back of my speaker pole piece (12' Fi Q) ? Does it matter if it has the BP option are not. Thanks James

Hii Im in the UK where Fi has just landed. Im changing over from 2 x 12" Re Mx's in a boot install to 2 x 18" Fi BL's fully loaded in a wall. As no one really has Fi yet in the Uk just wondering if anyone can answer my questions ? 1. How do the subs play the lower octaves ? 2. What kind of bass do they produce ? (DD slammy, Re wobble etc) 3. What subs can they be compared to ? (so I can get a understanding of how they are) 4. The SQ of the sub. I've already placed my order but was curious about the aforementioned points. Im after an all out streetbasser and each sub will have a Trutech Hammer H-1 powering it. Thanks in advance.

I have 2 ssd's and was wondering what the break in period woould be and if I shouuld keep my volume low for a few hours before I turn it up?

I'm new to the message board and just wondering if I should get my Q with or without the BP option. It will be run in a 2.5cuft box tuned to 32Hz and powered by a Diamond Audio D5 1200.1. The amp does rated power at 12v so I'm probably looking at about 1300rms on my electrical.

I'm kinda interested in a BL 15. Right now I currently have an Icon 15 in 3.5 cubes tuned to 34hz being powered by a JBL GTO 1201.II amp that puts out 1100 watts at 2 ohms. How does the BL sound? Does it have decent SQ and what are the different options for? How would the BL 15 sound with my amp and box if I did a swap? I like my Icon 15 and all but if the BL gets louder and has decent SQ too, I'de the increase in output. How would you compare the sq of the BL to the sq of a RF Power HX2 15?
