Are the Q10's good speakers? I was once told that 10's are the best speakers to work with because you can tune them to do anything. (Hit high, low, deep, loud, accurate, ect.) Is this true? Can I get a few 10's and depending on the setup I could make them loud, low and deep with accuracy too? Let me know if this is a stupid question

I got my BL in today! Man is it sweet! I heard the UPS truck pull up and ran to the door. I got it, opened it and went to 2 shops to get quotes on installing it.. The first store I get to the guy is like "what brand is this?" I said FI "who" FI "who" F.....I... He is like "oh ..ok.." then he goes and "inspects" the woofer, kinda tooted his nose up and was like "how many watts you running to it?" i was like 1000 to 1500, then hes like "oh so like 500RMS?" I said no 1000 to 1500 RMS..lol then he has this shocked look on his face and said "yeah I dont think this thing will take 1000-1500 RMS, I mean its got a big magnet, but i dont think it will handle that kinda power"....…

I currently have a MTX Audio 9500 as a play around sub, but was wondering about switching to a BTL. My question is, I'm going to be using it for pure SPL competitions and was wondering about the options available on it. I understand most of the options, but what would be the ideal combination of options for a pure SPL vehicle on 2 Sundown Audio 1500D's strapped? OR would I be underpowering the BTL, and need to try a BL? Also if Steve pr someone chime in about the best pricing available? Thanks Geoff

I currently have an Alpine typer 1222D with this box and this amp. I beleive that the sub at high volume takes over 1kw clean watt rms. (gain is set with a dmm, alpine 9812 (4v subout), volume 25/35, sub out 8/15, gain at 1/3 (5v-to-0.2v)) I'm very satisfied with this setup (i did 139.9db @ 39Hz, link), but i want to try something else... I'm looking for a 12" that will be louder from the typer (2-3db??) and has the same or better SQ. I believe that an Fi Q 12 or an AA Havoc 12 is what i need. Fi Q 12 --> 249

I have a JBL 1201.1 II amp that puts out 1100 watts at 2 ohms. I have a pair of Orion HP12s sealed in 1.2 cubes each. The surround on one of them tore and I'm looking to upgrade to a pair of subs that could get louder and sound better. I was wondering if the SSDs are efficient subs because I notice they are rated at 800 watts rms because I'de love a pair of the 12s sealed if they are effient and would knock hard and sound good with my amp. Or do you think I'de be better off with a pair of the 10s ported and tuned low? I just want it to sound good and hit hard.

Hey Scott, Nick or Shawn.. I recently pulled my 15" BTL out of my truck to build a new box and buy a new amp. Its just been sitting and today i go to move it and the coil is rubbing. It was fine when removed so is it possible something got down into the gap? Is there anyway to gain access to the pole vent by removing the screw on the bottom or no? Just let me know if I'm pretty much screwed. The coil isnt burnt looking at all just rubbing out of the blue now. Let me know guys, thanks Doug

If I were to get a pair of 12'' BLs (with cooling, flatwind, daily, lead) What would you recommend me doing to make it sound clean and keep my car running without no stalling. (I have also ordered a Dynamat Trunk Kit too) (Recommend as in amp and box size, and capacitor size.) Also I have a 95 Honda Accord. I looked for the 3 parts to the big 3, only winded up finding 2 of them. 1.) Alt-Batt 2.) (-) Batt to Chassis 3.) I cant find: Batt-engine Any help would be much appriciated. Thanks, -Curt

Has any-one ever experienced this? (copied from e-mail earlier sent to [email protected]) hello, I jsut purchsed a 12" bl with pchamfer, dual2, and flatwind options recently from your company recently.....UPS delivered the speaker on wed. 3/5/08 at 5:30pm. On friday night the 7th I stuck it in a single box for a single 12 and hooked it up to existing amp (rockford fosgate 1oow/rms). Today Saturday I went for a drive to really get a chance to listen to it other than in my neighborhood and I can here a kind of like " pinging" sound....I went home and opened the trunk to get a better listen too and it is even louder in the trunk...it is coming out of the speaker itself…

I was going to run 2 18" Qs off 1000 watts to each. (The amp is said to do 2000w @ 1ohm, but it could do a little more. It's a Lighting Audio if it matters.) Do you think the Qs with no options would work fine on this amount of power? I probably wont upgrade my amp to anything bigger, unless I go with a whole new setup.

Ok so I sold my bmw and got a Expedition. Now with the new space I am looking at either 2 18" Q's with bp option or 2 18" BL's with cooling and flatwind. I would have 2500watts at 1ohm. They'd be in a ported enclosure and I only listen to rap. What should I go with Q or BL?

So I am planning on eventually purchasing a fi Q 12", and I really don't know jack about building boxes. So I was wondering how a 12" Q would handle in a sealed QLogic box. BTW it will be going in my 01 civic coupe's trunk if that helps. Maybe this one? All help is greatly appreciated! Sean S.

The SSD line of woofers have little additions. Copper coils and flatwind something and stuff which I'm not familiar with. What is the advantage of getting these additions. Is it worth the extra $40 or so? What I want to do is hook up a SSD or Q 15 with a Kicker zx750.1 amp with the big 3 upgrade and 1/0 awg all around. If I go more than 750watts I will have to get a new battery and/or alternator which is something I dont want to do right now. Not until i get a new car. It should loud enough to get turning heads at stoplights, thats all im looking for until maybe in a year or so when i get a new car i want to put a fully loaded BTL in my truck. Any input is greatly appreci…

The q's are known as the SQ line from Fi. But what does this mean since everyones view of SQ is different. If i wanted smooth low deep bass, would a low tuned box with a Fi Q15 be my best option? Or is there another line or possibly brand that I should be looking at. And from my understanding do the Q's get pretty loud?

Originally, I was looking for a Rockford Fosgate T215 sub. A buddy of mine could get it for me for $400 which is about half retail. Then i was recommended to Fi. Ive never heard a Fi product. Nor ever heard of the actual company. How are the woofers so cheap comparing? And how does Fi compare to RF. Or JL for that matter.....

Hi guys, I finally have purchased all of the components for the first stage of my system except for the subwoofer. As the title says I am trying to decide on the size and box type to use. I have a 2001 Jetta and will be using Cadence amps which are very long. Earlier I was trying to fit a 15" Q in a slot port enclosure and was having a very hard time fitting everything in my trunk and still having access to my spare tire. I have only heard sealed enclosures before, would I benefit from the larger enclosure and reduced trunk space? How would a slot ported 12" Q compare to sealed 15"? These options seem much better for my limited trunk space. What do you guys think I shoul…
