does anyone know the rms for this sub on the site it says 2000 rms, but then again it says that for the 15" and 18" also so i dont think thats right. i have a 2600 watts rms amp at 1ohm could they handle that ? thanks

ok so i have heard tons about how stupid loud these things are and that is sweet, i love it. I was looking to put a 15" BTL in my ext cab s10 pickup and i was just wondering how loud this would be. I need a perception of DB's here, i see some vids where their windows are flexin, i know im not gonna get anywhere near what that 02' caddy has but i want my windows to flex some, how many db's does that take and do you think it can be done with one properly ported and tuned 15" BTL?

Hey I'm currently thinking about buying 2 12" BTLs for SPL.... I drive a 2003 Tiburon GT and planning to put them in a full wall. Could someone give me some ideas about amps, what options to get with the subs, how much RMS do i need/can they handle, and If this is really the subs I should get? Thanks

For both options the box will be around 7.5 cubes after port & displacement. for the 15's tuning will be 32ish Hz and 28 Hz for the 18. For both options the amp will be Exile 2400.1. For 15's 2400 watts @ 1 ohm. For 18, 1600 watts at 2 ohms. For overall musicality/output, which would you rather have? .....oh yea, vehicle is a Dodge Magnum.

I would like to see what you all think about this decision I made.....: I recently traded in my two new 12" type R's that were powered by a single RF 1000rms amp. for a newly purchased 12" bl loaded. I will be using the same RF1000 amp. (as that is all I have right now) with this BL 12" when arrives. Did I make a good decision? I mean will this new single speaker out perform and be louder with heavier bass than my previous "best-buy" setup. I will be saving up for a second 12"BL and second RF1000 rms amp, but jsut wanted to know if it will be noticably louder and deeper....... Thanks...gary

Hello, I am a new fan of FI CAR AUDIO and I just placed an order for a single BL 12" woofer. I also added the dual2, pchamfer,and the flatwind options. I plan on using it for daily "pounding" and at this time no SPL applications (maybe later with different project car!). The amp I have is a Rockford Fosgate 1000rms amp. I will definately upgrade to (2) speakers and possibly a second RF 1000rms amp when money permits!!! My questions are these: Should I have also included the "cooling option" in the purchase of my BL 12? and can I still add it now? or is it too late? If poss. Hey guys I currently have a dual 2 ohm 15 fi BTL I am looking to add a second 15 btl but the problem is to get the right ohm reading at my amp I am going to need 2 dual 1 ohm subs. Is there anyway I can send this one in to be changed to dual 1ohm and then order a second?

Hello, Does anyone know what type of metal the BTL basket is, along with the exposed metal on the magnet? I would imagin Nick knows. My best guess would be aluminum but im not sure. also what type of material is used to paint the Basket?

so yesterday when i was riding i started to smell a funny smell... and then a couple minutes later my sub cut off. I was running my amp at little less then half gain, LPF set at 120hz, and subsonic set at 35hz. Today i tested my amp with some other subs and the amp is fine, so i take the BTL out to examine it and i cant find anything wrong with it. Tinsel leads are still soldered and the VC is still attached to the cone from what i can see. No rips in the spider or anything like that. Its fully loaded as well so it should be able to handle alot of power which. Can anyone please tell me what might be wrong with my sub and what i can try to do to fix it or will i just have …

Ok here it goes the two subs are (15 BL, Daily, dual 2) vs (15 Q, Daily, Dual 2) 1. Both are suggested to run 1000 RMS so how much more power can the BL safely run vs the Q? The only options i can actually add to the BL for daily are: - Cooling option - Universal - Flatwind (is this even necessary for a daily driver?) 2. Can i safely run 1500 RMS on the BL 3. If the Q is a SQ sub, am i going to lose that SQ and get distortion from the BL ?? If anyone has AIM and doesn't mind talking to me on there i would appreciate it greatly thanks

I have a JBL GTO 1200.1 II amp. Right now I have 2 Orion HP 12s on it sealed in 1.2 cubes each. I hear that the Fi BL's are efficient. Would my amp and a Fi BL 12 in 2.5 - 2.8 cubes ported slam? Also how is the SQ on the BL's and do they drop low?

I'm sorry to have to ask because I know that you guys get enough of these ?'s as it is because you've already sent me a quote for the 15" kits but I think I'm going to stay with 12's. So here it is again. I have two 12" eclipse tc9 subs. I'd like to keep the baskets. The motors are the ones with the dual 3/4 in. slugs. I would also like to know if I can get the cones that resemble the Havocs? I still have the spider spacers and everything that goes to the original subs if that helps you out any. Hey guys, I haven't had much money to do a system in my car, but with my tax return on the horizon, It is going to happen! First things first, this is what I had. I had a 2000 Monte Carlo SS, W7 12''+Kicker ZX1000 mono amp, It sounded AMAZING, got LOUD and sounded good doing it. Got metered at an IASCA show and did 143.9 on the dash. I sold the car and the whole system, and now i need somthing new. I am still looking to do SPL with only 1 12'' sub and Im not sure what I want. After loads of questions i got my ssd 12's today!! Surprisingly enough it only took a week! i looked at the shipping manifest and it said i wouldnt get them till next week! enough of that lets talk shop. I couldnt wait to put these babies in my car.
