I know there have been a lot of these but I just wanted to see what you guys thought. I was deciding between the q or bl for the trunk of my Camry and the biggest box I could build was 3.04 cubic feet tuned to 33hz with 9.3in per foot of port area(6in precision port). I went with a Q because I read they worked well in smaller enclosures. I do want to get loud but I figured the Q would do that better just because of the limited space and I figured the BLs had to really breathe. And when I say loud i don't mean like competitions or anything just at the rated 1500rms. Do you guys think I made the right choice for that enclosure?

Hey, I currently have an older 15" SSD with copper coils (before they automatically came with them lol) in a 3.5cf enclosure tuned to 34hz getting 1000rms. Unfortunately, I have gotten use to it and it doesn't feel nearly loud enough. So now I am going to get a SP418 running off a Hifonics HFi3000D at 1 ohm. Question is, what size enclosure would you guys recommend? I drive a very small 2008 Hyundai Accent hatchback, and will have to take out one of the back seats for this thing lol. The dimensions I have available are W=23", D=44" and H=24", so about 11cf to work with. I was thinking around 6.5-7cf tuned to 30Hz? What do you guys think?

I am looking into getting 2 Fi SSD 12's and powering them with a DD audio M2b on anywhere from 200A or higher worth of amperage from the alt(s). What would be the recommended box size if I am wanted to be able to play to the high 20's with authority, want to be able to pick up songs like Sugga Cooker, Put On. Also, what is the benefit of Flatwind Coils?

Hi, Well, i just put a nice jl audio compnent system with pioneer 4400 dvd head unit and rockford p 400 4 channel amp in my ford fusion and I'm loving it. I want to add a single Fi sub - probably a 12". Maybe a Q as that is in my budget. I will run the sub off my rockford rear channel bridged. Looking for recommendations and what is the impedance of the Q sub? I cant find that anywhere and my amp wont drive a 2 ohm load.

I used to read up on car audio back when I was 17-18 and had a couple tens and decent speakers in an S10 and loved car audio. Sold that got a camaro and found out about FI speakers and planned on getting some. Went thru hard times never happened and here I am. I have a 96 nissan Altima. I can finally put some type of system in it and get my audio addiction fixed that I've missed for years. My car is not a thing of beauty and I plan on driving it for only for another 2 years or so. I got this aftermarket cd player put in. I know its sony xplod and people make fun of it, but it was a decent price and had an AUX and usb connection. It beats the hell out of the manufacturer c…

Are you guys changing the number of spiders that comes on the Q? When I purchased my Q it came with 4 spiders. Also the recones used to come with 4 spiders by default. I am curious if you guys are moving those numbers of spiders down to 3. I am curious because I ordered three 15 inch recone kits and I am used to them having the four spiders.

I have a Ma Audio hard kore that i want to recone. It is a fifteen and is the 5000 watt quad voice coil 1.5 ohm version. Sorry i do not remember the model number. Any way does fi make a recone kit that i could use and would it be possible to attach an 18 inch basket? The other thing that concerns me is that it is a quad voice coil sub, if i get a recone kit would it just become and dual voice coil? Any advice and knowledge is appreciated! Thanks! And sorry for a lack of knowledge, i have never reconed a sub before!

not sure how familiar you guys are with fi on here, ran just about every sub they have had since back in 08 but check this out, when the N3 launched it was around 530 give or take your model i know this because i purchased a 15" BUT NOW ITS 800 DOLLARS!!!!!! as seen here https://ssl.perfora.net/www.ficaraudio.com/sess/utn154fab58ee6eb3b/shopdata/0050_Speakers/0010_BTL/0070_N3/product_overview.shopscript now wait let me guess... this is what the reply will be NEO cost has gone up (which is absolutely true) cost of labor, other misc materials has gone up and the original--WE innovate, we design, we are god, we created subs, we are the best (which is mostly true) PLUS we …
