What do you guys think a 15 inch BTL with cooling option with 2,600-3,000k of power running to it in a 4.5-5.0 cub box tuned to 34-35hz would sound in a cavalier. This set up will have the subwoofer facing upwards and the port firing into the cab of the car? Im also going to Sound deaden the trunk. what do you guys think shes gonna be like and sound??

I'm new here and looking for some help/suggestions. I currently have a Memphis 1000D left over from a previous setup (4 - memphis PR 12"s) in a blazer. I have since sold that vehicle, but still have the amp and speakers laying around. After learning about Fi Audio and reading more and more about them over the past week. I am interested in purchasing one 12" Q to go under the rear seat of my 05 Ext Cab GMC Sierra. I want to use the existing amp to power the sub. If my memory serves me correct, it is capable of 1100x1 RMS Power @ 1 Ohm Mono (14.4V). I'm wondering if I should add the BP option to the sub to allow for future changes to my setup (ie. addition of another 12" Q …

I need a little advice on a sub choice. I'm running 4 mtx 10's sealed right now. They are in 2.04 cu.ft gross per pair. I am wanting to upgrade to a single pair of 15's. I don't want to rebuild the box, just replace the mounting baffle. I am having a hard time finding a pair that will work in my sealed requirements. The only thing I have found is alpine type r 15's. I am interested in getting lower and louder than my 10's with good sq. I listen to mostly rock, metal, Lots of pink floyd, 80's hair bands, with some rap, techno. Any advice would be appreciated. Power comes from an saz-1500d, so 1 ohm operation is preferred. Thanks

I have decided and changed my mind a few times now, first off im getting one sundown 1000d for now and planning on getting another to strap later on. So i know i want a dual 2 ohm sub so it can work at one ohm now by it self then later i can run 2 at 2 ohms later on when i get another 1000d to strap. I first thought about getting 2 12 ssd's with just the copper option, then i thought maybe a q with no options, then i was like maybe a bl but wasnt sure on what options, i know on the bl i would need the cooling option but not sure if i would need any other options. But i probably should let everyone now i love to listen to rap music and heavy metal, looking for a daily poun…

I have a cadence txa-1000d 1000watts@1ohm. I really want to get a 12"BL but people always say that it needs more power but that is what it is rated for. Im looking for more spl than SQ thats why im considering the BL over the Q. What im wondering is what the SQ of a BL is like and how good it would go with that amp. It will be going in a ported enclosure tuned 30-33 HZ. I only listen to rap.

  9. Wasn't getting any answers in the sub section so I moved this here..... I'm looking into a 10 or 12" sub and I'm tryin to find a choice from the Fi/AA lineup. I want to run it sealed. I'm looking for great SQ with a good amount of output. I have UP TO 1500 watts available, but i can go as low as 300 watts. The Arsenal seems to be the one to look at from AA's lineup without breaking the bank. The Havoc seems to be a bit too much SPL oriented i think? From Fi's lineup, I'm strictly looking at the Q. So how does Arsenal compare with the Q. Is SQ the same with a little less output, or does the Q have better SQ? Thanks for the help.

Hi i have a pair of Btl 15's fully loaded run off of a 5000.1 with 5 batteries and 300amp alt. After having them in for a month i took them out to check on them. The coils still read the same and looked fine but there were a few small tears in the spiders on each sub. The box is 9.5 net tuned to 28hz with 140sq" port. I know i clipped my amp for a bit at a local comp where i did 149.1 at 30hz on the termlab legal. Would adding another spider help or is my box to big? Comments from the great ones please!

so i recently purchased a Crossfire vr1000d.. *1000w+rms at 1ohm*. My current setup is 2 jl w3's off a pioneer 760w amp. Yes not the greatest but it gets the job done for me currently. These jl's will not hold up with 500+ watts each, thus bringing me to my current mind pretzle. I'd really like to go with a single sub FI setup. But my mind is all tied up between the SSD, the Q, and even the BL. As far as space goes i have roughly 4 cubs to play with. The sub will be in the trunk of a 2006 cadillac CTS. The setup will be a street beater, daily used setup. As for music i listen to 99% rap music with big lows and 1% rock/heavy metal. I'd preffer a 60/40 split sq spl, or may…

I've been researching Fi's products and askin questions here and there and am finally set on what i wanna do so i'm gonna lay the plan out for everybody and see what you all think. It may take a while to do this because i need to buy the subs, amps wood and plexiglass... so don't expect it within the month. This will be going in a 2007 Scion tC. in the rear hatch area- 2 10" Fi BL Dual 2 ohm(1.4) 2 Lanzar OptiDrive 2000Ds (4,000w capable) I chose these so i can wire the subs to a 1.4ohm DC rest load and strap these 2000Ds. The 2000Ds strapped at 1ohm produce ~4KW but at 2 ohms, produce ~3,200w. After resistance rise, this should max these subs out fairly well. I will b…

Hey guys, i was wondering if you could provide some assistance with my decision between the two subs mentioned. The subs would be used for daily driving and i would be using a box around the 2 cubes range, probably tuned in the low 30's. Also, i have been trying to decide on an amp to power either of these subs, the rms stat says 1000 is enough but with experience is 1000 continuous enough? Thanks in advance James

Whats up guys. I have a big project I plan on starting ASAP for my Honda Civic coupe. I'm pretty torn right now between either the RD 1750.1 - 1750rms x1 ohm or the sundown 1500. Either will more then likely be powering 2 15" BL's at .5ohm daily. Just wondering which amp I should use for this setup and why. The goal of this setup is for a daily beater to crush some skullz lol. Tuned around 30-33 hz. I have around 12 cu ft. to work w/ Thanks Andrew

As it says. i am going a few options here. Also I have my graph open with 4 of the 12 inch ssd's. I can get them to graph how I like it but the question is if I go with a flatwound copper coil. How will it change the graph. And if considerably will FI send a copy of the new t/s parameters for me so I can regraph it

  20. I am doing a wall in my zx2 and I am limited to about 10-10.5 cubes after all displacements. I was wanting to go two 18's. All of them really require a really large air space. I can put the subs in winISD in that box and it peaks at like 60 hz.Which would be fine if it was loud through 40. but it really isn't The BTL is the closest . It peaks around 55 and still strong through about 44hz. Played with a few different tunings same results. Wonder if changing to a flatwound coil and copper coils makes any difference or if I can have a different set of spiders on them to make them peak near 48-50ish in the box I can do. Again 55 peak is okay as long as I am strong through 40 …

Well to start off with, the BL only has the pole chamfer upgrade and is in a 3.7 cf box tuned to 33 Hz in a 2001 Hyundai Tiburon hatch. I am powering it with a MB Quart RAA1000 (Soon to be Sundown SAE1000), stock alt, and battery (no dimmage ) Now to the good stuff...When I came home and saw the box I was so excited (I was actually denied admission to UF earlier that day but I didnt give a sh!t cause I had this monster ) and I opened the box and wow, this sub looked freakin nice. I opened up all the packaging and carefully inspected every little nook and cranny of the sub and was drooling the whole time. I have dealt with many subwoofers from kicker l7s, eclipse, aa…

I see BP power ... what does this mean as well as the rest. I know what a copper coil is and flat wound. But what are the benefits of going with the copper coil and the flat wound coil? cooling I know but the rest is pretty much a blurr. can somebody list every option on all the subs and break down in detail the benefits. and I apologize about flooding the forum with all these questions today. I just have been wanting to ask for a while now and was too lazy to sign up and just signed up lol

i am going to get 4 15" fully loaded BTL's and was wondering what the best box to put them in would be. 5 cubes by themselves with a port? i always heard it's best to put them in their own box or if it shares a box, to put a separater to separate the subs. but lots of vehicles i see on here lately have 2 to 4 subs in one BIG box. any differences in the two? i saw steve meade (i'm sure you've seen him) fit 4 18's without walling his suv, so i'm hoping it may save on space to fit the 15's. i have a lil more than 20 cubes of airspace available. nothing bigger than 42"W x 33"H x about 40" long. if possible it'd be nice to fit 4 18's, but the chances of that happening with my…
