I'm looking at buying 2 15" Q's with the bp option and just using it for daily driving no competitions. I wasn't sure if it is worth paying more money for the SAZ-3000D or if the AQ2200D is just as good of a fit for my application. I have been through a lot of bad amps and want to go with a good quality and very reliable amp that I won't be afraid it will break after a year of use. I don't know if anyone has or heard a setup like this with either amp but any input would be greatly appreciated.

hey guys, this is my first post lol but i have been a member for a bit. so i just got a 18" Fi Q and just built the box to 6.3 cubic feet after port and sub displacement. i have the port tuned to 31.4 hz. it sounds amazing especially in my little ass car lol fits in the trunk just perfect. i have it double baffled and it doesnt rattle or leak any air. i am running hifonics 1600 watt rms amp, turned a little over half way up, and have 0 gauge wire. stock alternator and battery. big three upgrade. i have 2 questions tho. my first question is...there is no gain setting on my amp...idk where to set the gain bc there is no knob. if somebody could give me some help with that it…

hey all i just ordered my first fi btl 18 . i choose all the options that were availible for it so i guess it is fully loaded right? anyways my real question is how THE heck am im going to fit two in my civic ? i know most might say i prob shoulda thought of that first but i will find a way to make them fit . my best idea yet was to actually take out back seats and extend the trunk into the car so when you look into he trunk it looks like its reall deep. than build THE box into the trunk extension . basicly you would open the trunk and the woofers would sit right were the back of the seat was originaly and the box would be ported on the inside behind driver and passenger…

Needing a basket, as the title shows. I was wondering if you two could hook me up with something for an experiment that a friend and I are looking to undertake. I need a basket that will bolt to any of the listed motors, we have a few right now, there's a Treo SSX 534 ounce, 12" motor with a 3" coil, and a Treo 582 ounce 18" motor with a 4" coil, then we have 2 RF power series motors that are old school- like the HX2's that have 4'' coils, and we have an Orion HCCA motor with a 3'' coil. Well , finally got them in for recone. I had the pair ported on 1000w total and it was pretty good. I am going sealed now with 1000w on each woofer. (Zapco Studio 500 on each 4 ohm mono) So I see Nick really like the 1.1 sealed and other like the sealed in the 1 cu. Ft. range. My concern is for such a small box is that its not playing deep enough. I was leaning toward a slight larger, maybe 1.3 cu ft or so after displacement I would like to hear anything anyone has to say. Beat me up a little.

i would like to know what is causing my sub to get to the point where i smell voice coil.. the sub is a 08 15" bl flatwound coil p chamfer in a 3.4 cubic ft box tuned to about 42 hurtz. Could the box be to small, port not proper size, lenght or could i be pushing it to hard? I am running jbl gto 1400 at 2ohms thank for any and all input.oh yea sub is d1

I Have 2 12 Inch Fi BL's and i dont know what amp i should go with i was leaning towards a sundown audio 2000D but also was looking at soundstream PCX 2000D .. any suggestions on what i should do ?

I have 4 FI BL 12's and was wondering how many cubes net should I build an enclosure for them? Also how low should I tune to do hair tricks? They will be seeing a little over 6,000 watts of power.

Hi there, I am not sure exactly what I need to have all my settings set at to run my bl 15" and need a little help.. The box is 4 cubes and tuned to 33hz, more importantly the amp is a hifonics brutus BXI-1210D, I need help tuning this for the bl! The amp has "level" or "gain" 9v-0.2v, "Phase"0-180, "bass eq" 0-10db, "subsonic" 15-35Hz, and the "lowpass" 35-250Hz. I need to know where to put the Phase, and Lowpass the most but if someone knows exactly how to tune everything feel free to tell me!! Thank you!

Ok guys i wanna get 2 Q series 12" subs my only problem is i dont what dimensions to use for a ported box and lso a sealed box. Its my second system so i still dont know to mutch. :/ I was thinking about the spl option. But the anothers i dont understand too mutch for what they serve Pleeease somebody can help me? uuh. My enclosure specs are 36 wide 18 tall and 30 deep. According to the12volt.com this should be a lil over 9ft³. I want a 33 Hz tuned port I'm still undicided between 4 by 16.5inch port with a 11 inch length or 5 by 16.5 inch with 14 inch length. I'm more in question about the lengths. Are they accurate?

i have 2 18btls but only one can fit in my car with a ported box. actually i want to sell one btl but in case i dont find a customer who buys it for a reasonable price, can i put both btls in a sealed box? as the other btl would just lay around losing price. i know fi doesnt recommend that. and i know i will lose alot of spl. but how would the sq change?

Received my 2 fi BL 12s yesterday, I'm very satisfied with em but I believe they will get a lot louder in a different box design, I currently have a 34w x 15h x 20d "maximum size box that'll fit" with a slotted port on each side of the subs, I'm unsure on length of port its been 3 months since I built it, believe im tuned around 34hz, I'm running 2 1500's strapped "1ohm per amp" n 2 yellow tops, anyone willing to design a box that's no bigger then the dimensions above as far as tuning I'm thinkin 32hz I listen to rap music n demo with decafs any help is highly appreciated

i recenly got a 12inch bl and i just got it installed today and it is clipping i have an Alpine MRP-m1000, And the faceplate is an Pioneer - Model: DEH-2200UB i have the gain turned down but it isnt hardly hitting at all it is in a 2000 dodge intrepid and when i do turn it up you cant hear the clipping cant hear the clipping inside but once you open the trunk you can hear it clear as day here are the options for the sub Ohm: dual 1Hyper_Pole: noCooling: yes +$30Flatwind: yes +$15Daily_or_SPL: DailyUniversal: noDustcap: white

I want to make sure I'm not going to burn up my coil on my SSD. I bought my sub 4+ years ago (I don't remember exactly), copper coil option only. Back then they were rated at 800rms. I have it wired down to 1 ohm, so it should be receiving 1200 watts+ since I have read lots of times that Sundown amps usually do over rated power. I set my gains using an SMD DD-1. I know these are frowned upon by a lot of people as a waste of money, but I didn't buy it and just borrowed it from someone who did. It helps to set gains so there's no distortion, so I'm assuming nothing is clipping. That's just my assumption though. I set up my headunit, sub amp and mains amp all with the DD…

So here the deal i just came up on two 12 inch D2 Fi Qs. What to do? i have a 3 cube net box i have that i made to fit under my seat in my truck. ported@35 Im just using the Q or Qs untill my SA-8 come in from sundown I have good electrical and will be run off a SAZ-1500d. The question is should i run 1 Q ported in my box at 1 OHM or seal my port and run both at .5 or 2 OHMS. Im looking for loudest. I know Qs arent for LOUD applications, but this system is temperary just to hold me over.

I've been trying to decide for weeks what i wanted to do for an audio set up. Im pretty sure i have it figured out. Im thinking about ordering it all today or tomorow, so i could use some fast help.
