So im about to build my first ported box and i need a little help. My 15" bl will be getting 2000 watts and has cooling and flatwind options. This will be going into a 96 infiniti i30 (same as maxima) My goal is to have the best LSQ setup as possible leaning more towards spl. I think i want to tune ~35. If the box is 4 cubes with the tuning at 35, is a port size of 4W x 13h x 21.8L correct? Is that enough port area? And is that a good tuning for my goal? Also if i use 2 circular ports that are 4" in diameter and 10.5 inches long would that be enough port area and the right tuning? Thanks a lot -Rick

I am planning a new home theatre to replace my mirage system for my new house. The room is 15x19 with 9' ceilings, and there are large openings into the dining room and it is open to the front door entrance and hallway. This will be used for about 75% HT/TV and 25% music. I am going to switch to a pioneer elite vsx-23txh with 3 elemental designs A6-6T6-MTMs as my FL, FR, and C channels, and probably some A3-5Ts for the RL and RR. Hey, This will be my first time buying FI subs and just had a question about what I should buy. I was gonna get two 12" FI BTL's and power them with a Sundown SAZ-3500D amp when it becomes available. Under the amp specs it says: ----RMS power, 2 ohm linkable/dual mono 6000W x 1CH ----RMS power, 1 ohm mono 3500W x 1CH I'm confused as to what the difference is would I be able to get 6000W to the two subs if i got the 2ohm versions? or should I get 1ohm? If I can only get 1ohm will 3500 be enough for two of those subs or would that be very underpowered? Any recommendations on the box size and port size would be greatly appreciated as I will have it made by someone. I'm …

Got my car back from the dealer service dept. and my 10" rockford T2 was fried. Rockford doesn't offer a recone and the parts distributor that they referred me to says they have a really long back order on parts. I was wondering if it's possible to do anything with it? It was a pretty decent driver, and i would hate to just throw it away if there is an alternative. thanks!

I was driving to San Francisco today listening to music in the car not all that loud and about 3/4 of the trip I noticed that the brakes started to respond slower. For example, I'd press down the brakes 1/3 of the way down and it won't respond until I press halfway down until the brakes even start working. By the time I arrived in the city, I popped the hood and I noticed that the wires were coming loose from the fuse holder. What's even worse was that the wire was in contact with something metal and I saw some burn marks with something black that melted as well, probably plastic. How much is one of those shipped to 68510? Also before you build it is it possible to have you guys put the biggest lead wires on there (like the ones you shipped me), because When I took mine apart to fix the wires it worked fine but the copper wire broke right next to the coil, and now I have no copper wire to solder the lead wires to. let me know if there is a way to fix this problem. Also would it be possible to send you the sub I have and get 2 10" Q's and a little bit more money in exchange? i have 2 15 qs and i was planning on putting them in a 08 honda accord, any suggestions on whut box to throw them in, ported?sealed? really not sure on whut direction to go with this

My Q15 peak is 39 htz and i didnt know if there was any good songs anyone knows cause i need one for my fist comp cause i cant use sweeps, test tones, i have to use a daily song?

Im considering eithet a 15" or an 18" Fi BL. I have an alpine mrd-m1005 amplifier (approx. 1100 watts rms @ 2 ohms). I want to stick this thing in a ported enclosure in the trunk of my cutlass, facing backwards. What would be the absolutely optimal enclosure size for these applications (both sub sizes)?

I want to get a BL to add to my collection, but I want a Dual 4. What's the extra cost from FI to do this? Thanx in advance. P.S. Only other options I would be choosing would be: P chamfer and Cooling.

I am selling my MD2, and I have a 40.1 sitting there for when my 2 other Q15's arrive and get installed. My questin is... If I am careful with the gains, is it ok to run only 2 Q15's on a 40.1(rated @ 3600w rms @ 1ohm)? Or should I just wait until I get the 4 pack installed?

My BL just stared making the noise yesterday, the sub is hooked up to a MTX TA81001. The gain is set at little over half. I really hope the voice coil is not going out.

Hello guys, So I need some help with understanding what is going on with my trunk. I had a bmw sedan E36 style, 2X 12" Qs and a RF T15001d... I open the trunk the subs are not distorting what so ever at 3/4vol on the head unit after DMM the amp to the recommended RMS value, But i close the trunk and it sounds like complete hell in the car. Its like the bass is trapped in the trunk? Do you guys think i should make a new deck out of wood with huge holes in it, and cut the metal one out so that I can get some pressure loss in the trunk, so that the pressure will go into the cab? Im getting ready to order the Fi 15 BL, i have a 1000/1 jl audio amp. Im not sure which is better dual 1 or dual 2 ohm? Is one better than the other, or does it not really matter?

hey guys im really tight on space..the sub will go into a 2007 cadillac cts and id like to retain some trunk space..i know fi suggests 2.8-4 cuft for a 15..but whats the smallest i can go without suffering any loss in perfomance quality wise and output?

Box specs: Port Area - 55 Volume before displacement - 3.97 Frequency - 32.2hz - 32.6hz Setup: 15" Fi BL Jl 1000/1 2 awg wiring Stock deck Stock Electrical Here's the problem. My freind with a 12w7 in an H/O box kicks this subs ass! His Setup: 12w7 in H/O box Alpine PDX 1000.1 4 awg wiring Alpine deck Stock electrical His system is in a Dodge Magnum mine is a Ford Expedition soon to be a 96 Cutlass. My plans: Kinetik HC 1800 or more Non stock deck Big 3 under hood Maybe new ALt What else do I need to make it pound harder? New amp? Is the box good specs? Help would be amazing!!!!!!

hello, as stated i am in need of a box design. i got 1 18 Q and a aq1200d amp and it will be going in a 2000 grand prix. so i have about H = 16". width = 30". and length = 32" of room for a box but i do not know how big to make the port. i am going sub on top and port at back. suggestions needed.

I want something that will flex glass but that i can us daily. i was sold on the btl 18" but will it handle everyday abuse? Any help would be great thanks

So I got a 15" Fi Q for Christmas. Everything else that I need for my system I have as well. The only thing that is missing is a subwoofer box. Originally to save some money I was gonna build my own sealed enclosure. But after talking to some of my friends and family I decided to get a professionally made box. Here's the problem though, the only site that I've managed to find is, www.klausaudio.com.
