I am planning on building a 4ft^3 for my BL 15. I was just wandering what size my slot port should be (Length, height and depth) if i want it tuned to 33hertz?

Hello I have a ssd12+bp running off a Alphasonic 1200da at 4ohms. Rms is 1200 at 4 ohms BUT my electrical system is stock so with around 50-70 amps at 12.5-14 volt I believe Im only getting 550-700 watts to my sub. The 12 is in a slotported box with 1.6cuft tuned to 34 htz. I built the box for 2-12 so they each have their own seperate enclosure, but I can not see another SSD 12 in the near future cuase times are tuff. My question is this- If I build another box for my 1-12 at say 2.3cuft with a slotport tuned to 32 htz, what do you guys believe the difference would be? more SPL? I really would like it to BOOM harder, louder, higher spl. Im not into SQ so if that goes down…

I have the Beta version of WinISD. I put in the parameters for the 15" Fi BTL from the website and no matter what I do it doesn't work right. I more than likely have one of the parameters wrong. Does anyone else have theres working and would be willing to post a picture or something so I can see what I did wrong?

  6. i just ordered two fi btl 18s fully loaded like two days ago and have been researching all about them great subs is what ive been hearing, but im going to build my own ported box for them and have tryed using the t/s parameters listed on fi's website and i plug them in my bass box pro 6 and my winiSD and the programs basically end up saying that fi's t/s parameters are incorrect, because after ive typed in all listed parameters it says recommend internal size 5.25 cu. ft for two of the 18's i dont know whats wrong... and what do you guys think would be best box design and port design for 2 btl 18 fully loaded dual 2 ohms, 4 hifonics brz 1700.1D amps (amp per voice coil) (…

I just picked up a 15" SSD and everything else for my system other than the box itself. I have got no idea on the tuning frequencies and port sizes. Can someone help me out. Ive got about 30W X 18H X 116L room in the back of my truck. Would a prefab box sound okay? Thanks in advance

Well my computer crashed and I lost the t/s specs I had saved into win isd for my older model 15 inch Fi Q dual 2. I am throwing around new enclosure ideas but the specs for the new Fi Q's seem a bit different. When I use the specs for the 2010 Q it suggest a ported enclosure where as the older one always suggested sealed. I am sure the specs are reasonably close but just the same I would like to get the t/s specs for the older fi q 15" d2 model if at all possible. If anybody could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Currently have a 12" BTL (D2, loaded, daily) powered by 2500D. Box is 2.5cuft @ 32Hz (after displacement). External dimensions 27" x 18" x 16". Port is 14.5" x 2.5" x 40"? (forget, used subwoofertool.com few years back) Would like to get a bit more out of the lows. They hit good as it is now, even down to 25Hz, but they could probably be better. Just wondering what I would need to do to make another box that specializes in the bottom end more. Smaller box? Larger port?..etc. Was thinking, maybe 28-30Hz tune? Maximum dimensions: 31" x 18" x 16"

  14. Ok so here's the deal. This is my wall design for my two 18in. fully loaded btls that will be running 3000rms a piece. I have never done a wall build before so I'm hoping i somewhat got it. EVERYTHING is double baffled 3/4in. mdf . In the 1st picture showing the front plate it looks double baffled its only supposed to be single " which i just fixed and im to lazy to take and upload another picture" due to the fact that there will be another front vanity plate to go around the curves in the car all nice and snugly. The box is , 15.7341 ft³ BEFORE DISPLACEMENT 15.2141 ft* after sub displacement displacement port is 6 inches in height width is 29.224 in…

So I'm in need of a box for my Bl 15 in my scion tc.. I was going to get one built and shipped to me but it will take too long. Went to my local shop today, and they had one box for a 15". He said it was around 3.2 cubes which i guess is ok. Asked him what its tuned to and he didnt have a clue, said around 44 or something, which i would think is too high for the BL as i was shooting for 33hz. The box is carpeted, and higher up on the end where the sub goes in. Has two small ports in the sides. Price is $180. What im wondering is if the tuning really matters, and if it will sound like shit if i use this box?

I am a noob set on getting 2 15" BTLs but I don't know if i should run them at 2 ohms or 1 ohm. The problem is that there are not many amps that support 2000 watts unless at 1 ohm. If there are any suggestions for an amp with adjustable subsonic filter, that can run @ 32hz+, for 2 15" 2000 watt rms subs, PLEASe let me know. Thanks

Hi all. I'm about to order a btl 15 d2 with cooling, I heat ring, and high Xmax coil. I have a hifonics bxi2010d. I came up with this box design, but I want to make sure I haven't overlooked anything important. Will I get port noise or any other bad stuff? Its for the trunk of a 97 ford thunderbird. With the current design I have, the box would be lying with the port and the sub facing up toward the rear deck. I could change the dimensions slightly, any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. EDIT: link to image was broken

I am planning a new home theatre to replace my mirage system for my new house. The room is 15x19 with 9' ceilings, and there are large openings into the dining room and it is open to the front door entrance and hallway. This will be used for about 75% HT/TV and 25% music. I am going to switch to a pioneer elite vsx-23txh with 3 elemental designs A6-6T6-MTMs as my FL, FR, and C channels, and probably some A3-5Ts for the RL and RR. I will be needing a sub as well and would like to make one to save some cash. I was thinking about doing an IB3 15 or 18 on an ED LT/1300. Just wondering what type of box to do, have seen them in really big sealed and ported enclosures as well a…
