So I have been driving a single cab truck for close to 10 years now. I've always liked car audio and I went from a shitty 10", to a really nice Ascendant Audio Assassin set up, which was pushing the limits of what I could fit in a Ford Ranger. Got an F-150, but I didn't drive much at that point, so I kept my Assassin 8"s and hifonics amp. But I'm getting a Ford Focus hatchback now, and I have been wanting a Fi Q for years, so I want to do it right. I was originally thinking two 12"s, but that seems like it would be a nightmare to power (3000 watts RMS can't be cheap o.o). So I figured a single 15" would be a nice middle ground. I have no idea if I would want to go porte…

Can a pair of Fi Q15's be ported and tuned to 30hz in a properly sized enclosure, if my max external dimensions are 22" (d) x 19" (h) x 38.5" (w)? Less height and depth if possible... I was planning on running them sealed, since I know they have great lowend sealed, but if I can still have great lows with more output, I want to got for that. This is for a Dodge Magnum. My goal is to have the most output while maintaining a somewhat flat response, with the gut twisting lowend.

I recently bought a sp4 and i have it powered by a hifonics colossus, im getting a 350 amp alternator and just wondering if i need a bigger battery? Whats the point of a bigger battery cause once the car's started the alternator takes over for the electrical system right? The 350 amp alternator should be more than enough to give the amp all that it needs right?

  8. Whats the best kind of wood I can use to get the full preformace out of a 18'' FI.BTL with these specs? Dual 2 Ohm,Cooling,HiXm Coil,Induct heat ring,And Daily option. I plan on buying four!!! Also the recommended option is 2000 Rms but Steve Meade told me he gives his 5000 Rms each he has four also. ''audio-neon'' told me ''meade knows how to build enclosures to compensate for overpowering the woofers thats why he gives them that much power''. If thats true how will I make my enclosure inorder to do that if I plan on overpowering the subs. Is that a good thing if I have a enclosure do that or just stick with 2000 Rms each (or maybe 2600 rms if so). FI.BTL Specs (BTL18) …

I've been trying to decide for weeks what i wanted to do for an audio set up. Im pretty sure i have it figured out. Im thinking about ordering it all today or tomorow, so i could use some fast help. Im getting the sundown 1000d and 1 12'' FI sub, i would go fifteen but i don't think i could fit it. I'm stuck between the FI ssd, or fi bl. I listen to mainly rap, and heavy metal(alot of double kicks and what not) so its a daily sub. I like boomy deep bass, i don't care so much about higher notes but the better one could hit them the better. I was also wanting to ask about enclosure suggestions, im not too worried about loosing all my space in the back, but if possible i wan…

  17. I have been searching all over the internet to find out about qts (never even heard of it before i was looking into Q's this isn't my first system, i just never accounted for it before. it looks to me like it is highly dependant on what you are doing fi q 15's have the cooling and spider upgrade options, that is it i am going for sound quality with this build, dual fi Q 15 in a sealed enclosure measuring ~ 2.3 ft^3 per sub (after displacement and bracing of course) each sub will have it's own rockford fosgate t-1500-1bd giving them ~1350watts @ 2 ohms (already had one and just bought a second off a friend, who said headroom was a bad thing) they will be in the back…

I have a fi q 12. I didnt choose the high qts option because i had planned for a ported box, but ported is wayy to big for my little trunk lol Would it matter if i put the sub, without the high qts, in a sealed box? If it matters, im going to put it in the smallest bOx possible. I dont plan on running the sub to the max, just some extra bass for daily driving. Also, i hate rattling, so you can bet i wont run it any where near max output.

  22. Hi, I have been looking at FI for a while and I am thinking about getting 4 Q 12's. I will be running 2 MTX TA92001 amps which put out 3000 watts rms @1 ohm or 2000 @2 ohms. would 1000 watts (2 ohm setup) be enough to max out the sub or should I run a 1 ohm setup and just turn it down a little bit and give it more power. also, I have about 10 cu ft of trunk space and i am probably going to run 2 cubes ported for each sub. Should i seperate each sub in its own 2 cube box with its own port or just build a big box with no seperaters and one big port. and one final question for those of you who have had experience with the Q's and the BL's. How much louder will the BL's get …
