Hey, just contemplating buying a Fi Q 12" off someone and he claims it is "Fully-Loaded" and after asking him is there is any proof of it being fully-loaded he said no. He then said now that he thinks of it, he's not sure if they are, as he only got told that when he bought them off someone else. So, is there any way we can verify if they are fully-loaded or not? Say a Imprinted serial number somewhere and you might have that particular build in your files somewhere and you can see if they were upgraded? Oh he has 2 for sale, thats why i said "If they are fully-loaded or not"....my mate might get the other one!! Thanks, Regards.. Craig

I should be getting my new ssd 12 soon and a alpine amp that pushes 1krms at 2 ohms. I was wondering if the sub will handle 1k without any problems. I usually dont have my radio blasting 24/7 (but like to show off for a song or two) and most of the time im listening to rock/metal. It will be in a sealed box and i got no options on it but Hqts. So the real question is can i run the amp all the way up (gains set correctly) or should i run about 3/4 level. Thanks for the help.

Hi there, I am not sure exactly what I need to have all my settings set at to run my bl 15" and need a little help.. The box is 4 cubes and tuned to 33hz, more importantly the amp is a hifonics brutus BXI-1210D, I need help tuning this for the bl! The amp has "level" or "gain" 9v-0.2v, "Phase"0-180, "bass eq" 0-10db, "subsonic" 15-35Hz, and the "lowpass" 35-250Hz. I need to know where to put the Phase, and Lowpass the most but if someone knows exactly how to tune everything feel free to tell me!! Thank you!

I just got my bl's today and had my local shop make a box . The dimension's are 4.5 cuft 43=wide 19=deep 15=height port is 4=wide 12=height and he said its tuned to 32 htz. does that sound right? I am currently running a kicker zx 1500.1 to them, my question is, do i need to let them break in or can i pound on them? I know im way under power, but im not sure.Any and all replies are greatly appreciated.

Been away from car audio for a bit and was curious what some others thought about this..... I found a pre-fab box that is made for higher output subs and seems to match up with the requirements for the BTL15. Here's the stats for it. Brand: AudioEnhancers Single 15 Inch: Yes Vented: Yes Tuned Bandpass: Yes Includes Terminal Cups: Yes Fits Round Sub(s): Yes Constructed With: 1" MDF Enclosure Volume: 4.87 Cu. Ft Dimensions: W 34 1/2 H 19 3/4 TD 16 1/2 BD 16 1/2 It's has 83 inches of port area, which equals out to about 17 sq inches per, just a hair more than what the site recommends. It sounds to me like it'll work. What do you guys think. I'll be pushing …

Ok I got 2 18" Qs in a 12 cu. box at 28 hz. I know thats just barely the minimum for them, but thats the most I can go. I was wondering if I switched to a sealed box around 13.6 cu. would be more appropriate for these woofers. I havent heard what a Q sounds like sealed before so I was just some opinions on what you guys think. The box would also have bracing inside, so after displacement it would be around 13 cu. Let me know thanks ps..... the woofers would be facing towards the back

My enclosure specs are 36 wide 18 tall and 30 deep. According to the12volt.com this should be a lil over 9ft³. I want a 33 Hz tuned port I'm still undicided between 4 by 16.5inch port with a 11 inch length or 5 by 16.5 inch with 14 inch length. I'm more in question about the lengths. Are they accurate?

I'm looking at building a custom box for my 2 fully loaded fi btl 15s and need some help with the dimensioning. Im looking at have a 9.5 net cubic foot box tuned to 32-34hz with a solid wall brace in the middle separating the two subs. For power im looking at either 2 rf t2500-1bds, 2 sundown audio saz 3000ds, or a autotek mean machine 4000.1. Does this seem like a good setup. Im looking at putting it into a chevy silverado ext. cab of course with all of the electrical upgrades also. Thanks for any help

My 12 " Qs sounded bad since i bought them a few weeks ago (used) so today i figured i would build a new ported box for just 1 instead of having both in a sealed box. This is what i found when i took the woofer out. Looks like the motor wants off the basket pretty bad!!!!!

I found these specs ~4 cuft net tuned to 32 Hz 16" h x 40" w x 20" d Port is 14.5" x 4", 30" long. To get 30", you make the side port wall so it extends into the box until it is 4" from the back wall, then add a piece 10" long running parallel to the back wall. Box is .75" thick, except the baffle is 1.5" thick. I made this in sketch up to specs I wanted to see if it looked right. besides the port being off the ground i think it is. I am new to building sub woofer boxes so any help is appreciated

Ok in 2007 i bought 2 fully loaded 18bls. and had them in my 95 deville. but now i have a 03 and the trunk is a little smaller. right i just have one in with a 6. 75 ft3 box tuned to 32hz. well my other one is just sitting in my room wanting to be build. Ive blown both of them but reconed one couple months ago. but i want to put both in my 03 .the max size in my trunk is 41x40x15. if i keep it at 32 hz the ft3 will be 7.55, i know many will say that would be way small for 2 18s but i already got might as well just make a new box and put it in. My question is would both of my 18s at 7.55 ft3 be louder then just one at 6.75 ft3?
