I have a silverado extended cab and was wondering how you guys think this would sound with 2 ssd 10" powered by 900 watts rms @ 2 ohms http://subthump.com/Chevrolet-GMC-Sub-Boxes/Silverado-Sierra-Extended-Cab/99-06-GM-Extended-Cab-Dual-10-Downfire-With-Amp-Space.html The volume is more than what is recommended for the subs, would that be bad?

I ordered a dual 2 recone for my IB3 and had to ask for a second set of terminal connectors since it was SVC before. I received the recone, but no terminal connectors... I assume I have to wait to finish the recone till I get a second set?

I have a 99 accord. I have a stock battery with a stock 90amp alt. I have big three upgrade. I have a fully loaded 12 QD2 and an 1800.1 audiopipe amp. I was wondering if my 4 gauge knukonceptz kolossus fleks amp kit would suffice for this amount of power. I am going to be running it at 1 ohm. I would appreciate the help.

I had the Q in my car hooked on a bxi2006d @ 1 ohm. Never really pushing it tough. Never ever smell the coil either. Now i change my car setup and decide that this sub would fit nicely in my home audio setup. so the big sealed 7ft/cu net box is now in my room. It is hooked up on a getho amplifier setup with a 22amp rail psu and a ma 1889i amp @ 1ohm. getting around 240watt max with the psu capacity well, the other day i realize a kind of rattling like noise with the sub playing at extremly low volume. At first i tough it was something on the wall rattling but then i realize by putting my ear next to the cone that the sound was coming of the sub. I've been using the same e…

I have a 12'' Q with the BP option being powered by a hifonics bxi1208d. I have the gain at half way and the sub sonic at 32 hz and the low pass at around 100 110. I have a down firing box, 2.5^3 ft tuned to 32 hz. Is the sub supposed to make this noise or what? thanks for any help

I have a dual 1 ssd sub with the copper coil option in a 1.1 sealed box powered by an audioque 1200d. And im wanting more deeper bass and louder but trying to keep inline with my sq setup. Would a sealed enclouser with more power? Do I port the sub and keep the same power? If i would port the box what cubes would u guys recommend? The space want to put it is 15.25H x 12D x 31.5W these numbers dont included the thickness of the wood and the double baffle. I could put it in a different place if i cant get it to fit.. And What freq would u tune the port? Thanks for the help in advanced.

I recently upgraded to 2 BTL 15s from a 2 Qs. In a nutshell im having the same problems that i was having with the Qs, Overexcursion. I am running a MTX TA81001 to each sub, only 1500 watts. The total volume of the box after displacements is 8.5 cubes, port is around 100sq inches and is tuned to 32hz. SSF is set at 30hz, HPF is set at 150hz, Bass boost is set at 0, and volt meter reads 38 volts which should make the amp put out 1500 watts. I went to my local shop (Pure Pressure Audio) where everyone who works there runs FI. They said i need 6 or more cubes for each speaker, and my box is causing them to move as much as they are. I built the box to FIs specs and it doesnt…

I have a 2000w amp on my fully optioned BTl and i know this sub can handle more power than that, so why is my btl's dust cap hot to the touch and "industrial smell" coming from the sub and port?

I was looking at the video on the Technical forum and it said everything is explained on the Technical forum in great detail, but I didn't see anything except that video and I didn't want to skim through and try to find where they mention High Qts. Basically, I have a truck and I can fit 6" mounting depth subwoofers in my sealed box. The Fi SSD 10 already requires the low space of .2-.6 cubes so what exactly does the High Qts option do?

I had my box custom made and shipped to me. I asked for a 15" birch box to be made. The specs are 31.25 inches wide, 16 inches high and 19 inches deep. 3.25 inch wide port with 47.25 sq inches of port area. 3.55 cubes internally after displacements and tuned to 31.8Hz. All of these numbers appear to be within the specs posted by Nick for a BL 15....this is the only size box that will fit in my trunk. And taller, wider or deeper and it will not fit. Obviously a bit bigger would be great but is this not an efficient box? And if not, how, when it is built within the specs posted for BL 15 enclosures? Thanks.

Hey guys! I am currently planning what i think (IMHO) what will be a pretty cool build but i have a few questions. Background: i currently have 1 fi Q12 loaded 2011 model running on a hifonics brutus 1700watt amp in a box that is too small so here is what im planning to do... The Plan: i would like to custom build a box to hold two fi q 12s. right now, its about 4 cuft ported and tuned to 32hz. i can provide tech specs if y'all need but i dont think its necessary for this post. The Question: I know fi came out with new models for 2012, and i know that running 2 different subs in the same box is a bad idea, so... will i have a problem running my 2011 q in a box with a 20…

i just ordered my SP4 18 today, i thought i had a box idea but i was told it was not very good so i need some help. back seat of a dodge ram 2500, i have 30HX36WX31D max space, smaller is better but thats what i have to work with. i intend to mount it on a new tool box im installing in place of the rear seat. if i use 2 .75" MDF sheets to make 1.5" panels and build the entire box of that do i need to double up on baffle? do i need bracing? i currently have a ZX2500.1 to power it (do you think i should upgrade?). i am not sure exactly where to tune it so i planned on starting with a high tune and an extra thick bottom and then extending the port and pulling parts of ht…

Ordered under Jeffrey Squier Bought the Q back in Janurary. I have been told that the spider is blown. This is my only resort of maybe getting some info on what to do to send it back to you all to be re-coned. I know that you all are a busy group, but please respond, as I have a nice paperweight on my hands.

OK, i am doing a system for a friend in a 1996 lincoln town car, the equipment i am getting is 2- 18" SSD's and will be powered off a Rockford Fosgate t1500-1bd . The problem is there are hydraulics in the car so i have very limited trunk space to work with. the measurements i have taken leave me with a max of 39" wide x 24.5"length x 14.5" tall . i think this comes out to be about 6.6 cu.ft. BEFORE any displacements . I know that this is WAY UNDER THE RECOMMENDATION, but i do not have any more room to spare. it will never be metered or compete it is just for show which is why he wants the 18's but even though it's, not going to compete it still has to be LOUD. I was…

I am thinking about getting an 18" BL for my 98 pontiac grand prix gt sedan. My car has a big trunk and I think it would be big enough for this sub and a good size ported box. I was wondering if anyone would have any advice as to whether this would fit fine and also amp recommendations? I would get the daily driver option as well. Im thinking around $400 for the sub and I could possibly build the box with my dad. Also what would be a good cap to go with it and would there be any other modifications I would have to make to my car's electrical system? I already have an alpine head unit.
