Welp im getting a 12" BTL from my friend and its fully loaded with all options but he bought it maybe like a year ago or so. Now im wanting to recone it to a 18", now my question is do i have the option of adding the HiXmCoil to the recone or is it already understood you get that with a fully loaded recone or what? Thanks for the responses

  7. I found this box on woofersetc.com the dimensions are: * 12" Single Ported Box * Height: 15" * Width: 30.5" * Depth: 15" * Mounting Depth: 11" * 3/4" MDF Construction * Volume: 3.00 cu. ft. And I wanted to know if this would be a good box for the fully loaded 12" BTL sub? Thanks for any responses.

  9. I was told by other members of this forum to email Fi about this topic, which i did, but I have not got a reply and it's been about a month since i sent the message. Any chance Fi still has recones for D4 X 12's? Or should I invest in an Ascendant Assain? Also, its just the leads. I've replaced the leads on one of my D4 X's already so i know i could do it, but i cut through the cone getting the dustcap off. Maybe I could ship the sub to Fi to get it repaired since they deal with things like this all the time? I'm just exploring my options! Since it's been so long without my sub, I am willing to repair it myself again. All I will need is four leads and a dustcap. Depe…

Well im running my 15 q ported right now and ilike the way it sounds but i was wondering how many of u are running them in a sealed box? I know the ported would most likely get deeper than the sealed but i was wondering hwo much of a difference it would be sealed and what other peoples opinions on the q sealed are. I do listen to alot of rap thats why i went with ported. Was wondering everyones opinions on the ported vs. sealed. thanks

ok i plan on running 2 SSD 12's off a AQ1200D @ 1 ohm. the box it gonna be roughly 4.4 cubes depending on how much the aeros take up for space. what would you guys suggest for aero size? i know i would need less port area for aeros then say a slot port but im not sure how much less i can use. i was thinking 1 6" aero which would give me 28 sq inches of port area (6.27 per cube) or i was thinking of going with 3 4" aeros which would give me 37 sq inches of port area (8.69 per cube) now i know thats less then the recommended port area for slot ports but i was wondering if either of those would be acceptable for aero ports.

Hi, I currently have the SSD's w/ copper coil in about a cube sealed. My buddy had a box, 3.5 @ 32hz I believe, that he said I could use if I needed. Would that box be good for the SSD's or will it be too small? I could use the slight bump in output, unless the box is too small.

My 12" Q should be delivered tomorrow according to UPS. I'm trying to decide on either a sealed or ported box to go under the rear seat of my Extended Cab Silverado. I've never run a sealed enclosure in my past 2 setups, and I'm skeptical as to whether I will be satisfied with the output of one. Any suggestions or opinions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm looking to recone two LA storm X1 10's. I want to use 12's instead. So what I need is two 12in baskets, and two recone assemblies that fit in the 3HP gap. I haven't been able to find out anything about the gap, other than its a 3in coil. But I saw at CA that you guys reconed a 3HP neo. What series coil fits? Thats the question. As it is right now, I have a Fosgate 1000D on each sub, so dual 1.4 or 2ohm coils would be what I want. I can say that they will be going in a 5cu ported box. (thats the largest I can fit in my car.) And I'll be using them for daily.

  24. hey guys i was looking for someone to help me try to design a dual reflex bandpass for my 2 15's, idk if this is something that each sub would beed its own box, if so thats fine but i would like both of them to be in the same one. if this is gonig to be a bad idea just tell me and i can make a slot ported box for them. i would just going to try something new. hoping to have them tuned to about 32-34hz i will be running them off a BC5500d. i have 4 yello caps, with another under the hood. i am using 4 RF power series, 2 6.5's in the front and 2 6x9's in the back running off a rf T8004. big 3 done with fat mat everywhere. planning on using MDF with a lot of fiberglass on th…
