Does anyone know what the hyper pole option on the 2009 fi bl is?

Basically I'm stuck between two designs. The first one is 4.3cf with a 6" flared aeroport tuned to 35Hz. The second enclosure is 3.5cf tuned to 32Hz using a slot port, with 54" of square port. The power is 1000 watts rms at 1 ohm.

Would there be any noticeable difference between making one huge box or leaving both of them in separate boxes, advantages? disadvantages?

The fi Q 15 has a sealed enclosure range from 2.0 to 2.6 cu.ft. At which enclosure size within this range would product the best results for a SQ setup? Thanks guys.

1 12" Q with BP Power on a Rockford Fosgate 1500w amp wired at 1 ohm (so the sub will see 1500w) or 2 10" SSDs with flatwind coils and a US Amps MD 2D (so the subs will see around 750-900w a piece)... Both would be sealed setups. Thanks for the help

Just recieved my FiQ12" need some help on box ideas measurments.. etc.. I drive an 06 Nissan Xterrra. I would like to build a box the slants at an angle "towards" you following the countour of the back seats to.. (larger on the bottom , to smaller on top with the front being straight , facing the back) if that makes sense...Ill post a measurement of the height of the back seat at the angle but if any one is an SUV owner out there you know what i mean... i hope...that makes sense... I am assuming an angle on the back of the box doesnt make a difference.. its the amount of air inside.. I also need some recomendations on terminals for the box.... I am open to alternate id…

Hey, I'm looking to build a new box strictly for street beating. I'm looking to tune it down to 30 hz. It's going in a Mazda 6 so I don't have excessive room to work with... External dimensions of the box will be 40" wide 27" deep and 17" high (double layer on top). Sub will be facing up as well as the port. I was thinking of putting the sub in the middle of the box, closer to the back of the car, and the port closer to the front of the car facing up. What would be better for music? 3", 4", 5" or 6" port width? Any ideas guys?

I just ordered my 12" Fi Q (w/ bp option) and i could never be more excited for it to come. I'm upgrading from a JL Audio 13TW5, mainly for loudness issues. I have a couple questions however... 1. Will the Q be much louder than the JL? The JL is running 500watts @ 4 now off a Kenwood 9104D amp. The Q will run off the same amp for now, getting 900watts at 2ohms. I'm upgrading cause the JL is shallow, only 13mm excursion and barely moves any air... And I loveeeee SQ subs, but also want pretty loud... 2. Now before you bash on me and tell me I should have gotten a BL instead, I must state that i drive a scion tc, with an open hatch area, which is where the sub will be sittin…

I bought a ford supercrew yesterday..... about 3 weeks ago i bought 2 fi q 10s, i saw that it didnt require to much airspace for a ported. i went to a local box builder who makes awesome boxes and he laughed in my face when i told him ported is .6-1.2 well he said his not building and so im trying to get a plan b..... i found a site that has a 2.5 seat lift http://www.supercrewsound.com/commerce/pro...21&catId=52 and they make a sealed box that is .95 perside http://www.supercrewsound.com/commerce/pro...23&catId=58 i need some input if possible would this be good seat lift and the box sealed? r is there a way i can get this box and make it ported, that would be…

I have two Fi Q 15's and would like to know whether to go sealed or ported? I love tight bass and also love the sound of a ported enclosure. I have the space for the ported enclosre (6.2 cu.ft)and i also have the space for the sealed enclouse. I love both sealed and ported enclosures. But which encloser would be the best for good sound quality and will also get loud. Any input is welcome. thanks

I ordered a dual 2 recone for my IB3 and had to ask for a second set of terminal connectors since it was SVC before. I received the recone, but no terminal connectors... I assume I have to wait to finish the recone till I get a second set?

So the single 4 ohm IB3 is 4 layer, and the single 2 ohm coil is 2 layer. I ordered a custom dual 2, will it be 2 or 4 layer? Or 8 Or 1

I have a dual 1 ssd sub with the copper coil option in a 1.1 sealed box powered by an audioque 1200d. And im wanting more deeper bass and louder but trying to keep inline with my sq setup. Would a sealed enclouser with more power? Do I port the sub and keep the same power? If i would port the box what cubes would u guys recommend? The space want to put it is 15.25H x 12D x 31.5W these numbers dont included the thickness of the wood and the double baffle. I could put it in a different place if i cant get it to fit.. Other than thiele small params and the small pics, it's hard to know all of the differences.... the Q has a smaller pole vent? larger magnets? The single 2 ohm IB3 is a 2 layer coil, the Q is 4 layer. The Q's Fs isn't much higher than the IB3's and the motor doesn't seem tooo much bigger.... IF I had the extra $$$ at the time I would have gotten a Q because it would have been much better for my application, I could have gotten the dual 1 ohm coils and ran my Lanzar OPTI2000D at .5 ohm and everything would have been GREAT. But I only had enough for the IB3, and so I let the lower Fs and higher Xmax ease my mind about doing what i had to do. If I could go back in time, I k…

since I've been frequenting this forum more, I have noticed there is a significant number of issues with the Q line. I'm guessing just coincidence? Or is there a ryme or reason?

Would a the US Amp MD 2D be enough for 2 10" SSDs with the copper coil? The does the amp really produce 1500 watts at 1 ohm? Or is it overrated?

After speaker displacement I have 2.46 cu ft, I need to figure the port for tuning to 32 hz (recommended by Fi) I was looking at about 28 sq in of port, how long would the port be ? Do I need more port area ? If so what would recommend ? My enclosure is 43w x 14h x 7.5d(combination of top and bottom divided x 2). Thank you for all your help.

I have a 04 Ford Expedition, i have built a enclosure behind the 3rd row seat, what i have is 2.46 cu ft, I would prefer a sealed enclosure, I know this is large for sealed, but i can shrink it if needed, my question is: should i go smaller ? It is powered by a Crossfire VR 1000d, I listen to mostly music like: Slayer, Exodus, I also listen to alot of classic rock, metal, punk, etc...ever so often I will play a few bass cd's I have from the days I did dB Drag shows.
