15" btl fully loaded, box is 4.5^3 at 34hz. Install will HOPEFULLY be next friday. i know i didnt do that great with the carpetting, and yes my 20.1 is a little scratched up......

How u doing FI, im from miami fl and i have a single cab dodge ram 1500 with 3 15" kicker cvx subwoofer in a sealed box. All powerd by 3 1100 MONOBLOCK MEMPHIS amplifiers. I have 2 kinetic batterys and a 250 amp alternator. I hit around 152.4 db. now i know that your bl 15 will fit in the box, but i only have 1.8 cubes per speaker. what do u suggest? Maybe getting the Q that also handles 1000 watts rms? basically what speaker will give me the most db's with the set up i have now? here is a pic of my set up. Which would be louder? (Daily) 1. (2) fully loaded BL15s with about 3.2ft3 and 50sq" of port "each" tuned to 33Hz..... with a Hifonics Collosus (3200rms x 1@2ohm) so that would be about 1600rms each. or 2. (1) Fully loaded BTL18 with about 7ft3 and 120sq" of port tuned to 33Hz......pushed off of a Hifonics Collosus also. Going in a 2dr Explorer Sport

I found this box on woofersetc.com the dimensions are: * 12" Single Ported Box * Height: 15" * Width: 30.5" * Depth: 15" * Mounting Depth: 11" * 3/4" MDF Construction * Volume: 3.00 cu. ft. And I wanted to know if this would be a good box for the fully loaded 12" BTL sub? Thanks for any responses.

Im designing my box now for my BL 18 and wanted to check something i read in the BL sticky for enclosures. For the ports, you need 12-16 in3 for each 1 ft3 the box is? So this means that the port would have the same volume or bigger than the whole box? Can I get someone to assist me with an enclosure design for dual SP4 18s. Max dimensions are 27L x 30D x 30H. I'm currently running 2 15s and wanting to go with 18s. Power is a non issue since I'm now using two Crescendo 3.5ks. If this is possible please let me know. Looking to order the subs this week.

I am going to be building a box for my 2 15" btl fully loaded, I am curious wat of the two would be the best and how big should i cut/make the port, Also let me know if I mite need to make the box a lil bigger. ( i am also using 3/4 inch mdf) And should I have a baffle in between the subs or would one large box be best? Box 1 height 19" width 39.5" depth 23" Box 2 height 16" width 39" depth 35" Any help would be appreciated.

So, I've got a question regarding the power handling capability of the X series 15" sub. I'm building a Tapped Horn that's going to load the sub down at 25hz and 60hz. I am expecting to see maybe 5mm excursion @ 400 watts at those two frequencies with a max excursion of 14mm @ 30Hz. My question would be, in your guys' opinion, will I burn up the VC because there won't be enough motion to cool the coil off? This whole project is a bit of a technical practical to see how low and loud I can go. The tapped horn should give me excellent low end extension into ~20Hz and keep the coil in the gap @ 400watts. Site says the cutout is 14.125 what does that equal out to? I have a router jig, is it like 14 1/16? Or 14 1/8?

Welp im getting a 12" BTL from my friend and its fully loaded with all options but he bought it maybe like a year ago or so. Now im wanting to recone it to a 18", now my question is do i have the option of adding the HiXmCoil to the recone or is it already understood you get that with a fully loaded recone or what? i currently have 2 12" Fi Q's in a monochambered enclosure tuned to 32hz for maximum SQ but no amps from what people have told me (2x) sundown sae-1000d should be perfect but my question is... if both subs run 1000 rms each, would it be better running (2x) 1000 watt amps or (2x) 1500 watt amps??????????? also, which amps would be ideal if money wasnt an issue? preferably brand name and specific model. thanks a MILLION!!! I have a 94 Ford Lightning and currently have a Alpine CDA-9883, Kicker KS components,4 gauge wiring, 12" L7 and Hifonics 1508D amp. Im wanting to get as much bass possible out of a single cab truck without cutting my truck up. So im looking into the BTL 12".Should I go fully loaded? I will be playing this sub everyday. At 1st I will have it running off my Hifonics amp putting out 1500rms at 1ohm. Do I need the dual 1 or 2 ohm to run it at 1ohm load? Then when I get some more money ill get a better amp. I recently had a s10 ext cab with a 15 inch bl in it which im now selling because I traded it in on a silverado ss....oddly enough bigger truck does not mean more sub room sadly so it won't fit. Ive looked around alot and can't seem to find a case where someone used 2 12s in a ported box under the rear seat of the silverado and im not a fan of sealed boxes but it looks like thats my only option unless smoene could suggest something else. Was thinking 2 12 q's or ssds running off my memphis pr1000.1 amp and im not sure if i want them forward facing or downward facing, Im sure i could get a little more airspace if they were forward facing but does it really matter which way…

a friend wants a fi q 18" in a blow through box in his S10. my thought was to build a box in the bed with a collar of linexed MDF into the cab. once i have the box built then i would build another box over it to span the distance of the bed rails and help weather proof the box in the bed. a ZX1500.1 will be his amp with a 220A mechman alt and a XS 2500 battery. he mostly listens to chilly peppers, some techno, basically what ever pandora throws on. to that end i think the sub might do well tuned a tad higher than 32 but what are your thoughts? is there anything that most people over look when building a blow through?

Right now i currently have 2 boxes around 5.4 cubes per box @ 34 hz. I know i really could get the BL's to slam the lows alot louder if i got around 7 cubes per sub. SO with that being said im going to make 1 ported box*walled* and tryn get my max dimensions. I was going to get crazy and fiberglass all the nukes and cranny's but im really not the best with just winging it and figuring out port lengths and cubes when its not a regular rectangle. i bought 2 12" Bl's from a guy here in chicago for cheap....i really did want the Bl's at first but after thinkin about it, i want somethin thats got good sound quality and solid, pounding bass as well. i know the Bl's pound pretty hard and are basicly designed for spl but are they okay in sq? i have never really heard what a q sounds like in comparison to the bl. im not a stickler for amazing sound quality, but i want something thats kind of clear but can still scare people when they hear it and have some flex. my final system isnt going in until next summer so i have time to "decide". of course after i buy the Bl's i ask this question. and if any of that doesnt make se…
