Site says the cutout is 14.125 what does that equal out to? I have a router jig, is it like 14 1/16? Or 14 1/8?

I am just trying to find the T/S parameters for the heat ring option. I am wanting to add it to lower inductance but wanted to know what the new inductance would be. Secondly I will be putting 3500watts to a pair of Q 15's and dont believe I would need any extra cooling options. I will add the chamfering option but being on a tight budget I will probably skip the Bp/cooling option and just go with the standard Q. I also wanted to know what the Mechanical Xmax is? I only plan on using these to Xmax and less but I do like to know all parameters of my speakers before pushing them. Thanks for any help from anyone.

Is 5ft^3 net to much for a BL 15 running on 1200wrms?? My plan is to make a box with an 8" or 10" PVC aero port. If Im correct... 1. With 5ft^3 net and an 8" port would give me 10 in^2 of port area per ft^3 box area. 10 in^2 seems to low... 2. With 5ft^3 net and a 10" port that would give me 15.7 in^2 per ft^3 box area. 3. But FI recomends running 4ft^3 box and with an 8" port that would give me 12.5 in^2 per ft^3 box area. If I tune my box at 32hz which option would work the best for daily use on all types of music?? Any help would be aewsome.

Just recently pulled the trigger on a BL 12 cant wait for it to show up, and for some reason work thinks all the box calculator sites need to be blocked So here's my what i have BL12 d1vc powering it with a Rockford Fosgate T1000-1bdCP i need a box design max dimensions are 20Wx18Dx26H max its going in the backseat of a f-150 extended cab in place of the stupid little jumber seat behind the driver seat. If one of you fantastic box guru's could lend me a hand with a slot ported box tuned to 32hz i would much appreiciate it. I think 32hz is what im after anyways listen to most everything. I was wondering if 11.25 net tuned to 31hz and 166.25 square inches of port is too much for 4 fully loaded 12 inch BL subs running off of 6,000 watts of power?

i just got my sub hooked up and my chasing electrical issues. while testing the sub i noticed the dust cap got very very warm, to the point of me wanting to pull my hand away when i touched it. the sub was not reaching xmax and was also not fully powered. i have the sub wired as follows to a ZX2500.1. now i noticed that the kicker amp flashes protect when the bass hits but its not constant. so i expected there to be a grounding issue. i ran all new 0ga power and ground using 5/8" brass bolts and nuts and 1/8" brass flat washers on a freshly grinded clean section of my frame rail. im replacing my alt wire to 0ga and am looking into a new alt. all this said i feel that th…

  10. I am thinking about getting a pair of fi q 12's I am going to be running them ported in a daily trunk setup on a Saz-3500v2. I am getting the cooling option for sure but for I am not sure if I should get the extra spider & the internal lead options, I am thinking no on these options but I would like some opinions before I drop my cash on these subs.

Did the guys at Fi re-evalutate the SP4 and change the RMS from 2500 to 3000 watts, or did they redesign it to increase RMS?

  14. http://imgur.com/a/lNcLR#0 i have two sets of images its this album. a 33hz tune and a 36hz tune. i intend to build the entire box minus one side (leaving it to be held on by only screws) and change out the port as i test the subs volume. once i have things set ill glue on the final side. i would greatly appreciate it if someone would check my math and offer and criticism on what i have laid out here. thank you very much.

Hello all, I'm planning a new build and was going to use 4 DAD BD woofers but have been also looking around at different companies and wondered if anyone could compare the DAD BD's to the Fi SSD. I already own a BD-15 and love it, but have no experience with Fi audio what so ever. I'm going to run either 4 15's or 4 12's (most likely 12's) in my 1999 Subaru Impreza on a Cactus 5K. I need to get loud at fill tilt but sound good a lower volumes, my DAD woofers do this VERY well. If anyone has experience with these two woofers any info is appreciated.

Can I get someone to assist me with an enclosure design for dual SP4 18s. Max dimensions are 27L x 30D x 30H. I'm currently running 2 15s and wanting to go with 18s. Power is a non issue since I'm now using two Crescendo 3.5ks. If this is possible please let me know. Looking to order the subs this week.

My BL just stared making the noise yesterday, the sub is hooked up to a MTX TA81001. The gain is set at little over half. I really hope the voice coil is not going out.

  23. i just ordered my SP4 18 today, i thought i had a box idea but i was told it was not very good so i need some help. back seat of a dodge ram 2500, i have 30HX36WX31D max space, smaller is better but thats what i have to work with. i intend to mount it on a new tool box im installing in place of the rear seat. if i use 2 .75" MDF sheets to make 1.5" panels and build the entire box of that do i need to double up on baffle? do i need bracing? i currently have a ZX2500.1 to power it (do you think i should upgrade?). i am not sure exactly where to tune it so i planned on starting with a high tune and an extra thick bottom and then extending the port and pulling parts of ht…
