Hey guys, I was running down some information to do a build for a buddy this weekend. He's looking to do a modest setup with 4-500 watts of power to the sub stage and would like to go with a pair of 10's. I showed him the 10" X's which he was very interested in after listening to my Q's he's quite impressed with Fi. One thing I noticed both here on the forum and on the website is that there's no Tech specs for that line. It's easy enough to post up here or send an email asking about the optimum tuning, enclosure size, etc. which we'd like to know, but I figured I'd just go ahead and ask when you might be expecting to have something up on that information? Also, I thi…

this is the size of box i want to build: 16tall x 40wide x 28deep, there is an internal volume amount of 8.11 cu ft. after you account for the entire top being double baffled... subs up, port back (in the middle). i came up with a port, 13.75tall x 8wide x 23.5deep for a tuning of 32hz using this program: http://www.carstereo.com/help/Articles.cfm?id=31 i used the "Calculate Your Vent Length" section to come up with that port. it asks what tuning frequency you desire but there is not a place to enter how many or what size drivers you are using. is that port good for four 12"s?

Hi, I am currently having someone build me a box and they are looking for a cut-out template to cut the hole for the woofer. I gave him the cutout diameter but he wants a template to be sure. I can't seem to find one on the website. Do Fi offer one?

I have a 12" BTL with pole chamfer and my Memphis MCD2500 amp is coming in soon. I want to get everything ready so when the amp arrives I can install it right away. This is my mustang 2004 stock electrical: 130-amp. heavy-duty alternator 540 CCA heavy-duty battery Battery amp hours (58Ah) Battery-rundown protection I will be doing the big 3 wire upgrade with 1/0 gauge wire from batt to alt to ground. Besides that, what else should I invest in? I'm trying to keep it as budget as possible. Thanks. PS> This is my daily driver.

This is my first real system and I plan on running 2 10" FI Q's with a Sundown Audio SAZ-3000D. I have plenty of experience with woodwork, but since this is my first real system where I'm building my own box, I need some help with that. First off, originally I was planning on facing the subs inside the car and seal off the rest of the trunk. It's a 4-door and I can't really remove the back seat, but the majority of the time the back seat is down anyway. However, after reading a bit more I've heard a lot of people mention and tests done to show the subs may actually be louder facing the rear of the car. What do you guys think the optimal setup in my car will be? I'm drivin…

I traded everything i had about 6 months ago, well, guy gave me good deal on getting all back and some new stuff he just bought. Anyway its 2 BL 18s, and 2 sundown 1500ds strapped. I had subs up, port back, 20 cubes before port and subs tuned to 33hz. It sounded great and definitely had the lows. box before was this: then i had new design done for wall behind front seats, same tuning, and specs, both boxes with 200+ square inches of port, wall box: Both boxes designed by chris at fishercustoms. I never use backseat anyway, but not sure if will make big difference as in louder if i go with a wall. any suggestions? or just go back how it was?

hey guys, I have a wedge box that goes behind my bench seat in my truck. its about 2.8ft3 before sub and port displacement. right now i have a 4in round port that is about 7-7.1in in length. so that puts me at about 35hz tunning wize. however i just upgraded my amp and bought a SSD. so i want to mkae sure for port is good. i will be re tunning to about 33hz so that will make my port longer. however should i upgrade to a 5in round? i dont know much about what would make a good port. i thought as long as it was tuned to the right hz it didnt matter. please offer any advise. i cant wait for the SSD to get in!

I've got a couple IB 15" for home theater use. I was wondering how these would sound in a panel van. With a VAS of 270 I figured I'd make a 10 ft^3 sealed enclosure for each and give them a try. Anyone have any input?

I'm looking at upgrading my subs in the near future to a 15" Q. Could someone give me an idea on the outer box dimensions so I can see if a 15 will fit in my 1994 Mazda 626. looking for about the 4 cu. ft. net tuned to 30-32 Hz. I'm limited to about 17" high by about 30" wide. I assume with those dimensions I'll likely have to go with the sub facing up. Is there any potential problems with this? If it doesn't work out with the 15 I'll have to get a 12 instead.

I was just wondering if pictures and/or cut sheets would ever be available on the forum. At the very bottom of the Pinned BTL Enclosure Recommendations Thread it says that "Pictures and cut sheets for some enclosures [are] coming soon," however that has been up for many months now and I was wondering if they would ever be up. I just got my 12'' BTL reconed and am wanting a more simple design this time for my box, however I have not found any actual standard recommended designs posted up by Fi, and was just wondering if they would ever be made available. Thanks

i got rid of my RE SE 15 recently. ran it in 3 cube sealed, amazing lows, but looking for more output sealed if poss. could i expect more output with a Q 15 sealed due to higher excursion than the SE? if not and ported is the only way, will the Q 15 work well with a 28hz tuning in a box smaller than 4 cubes? my goal is amazing low end extension like my SE had sealed, just louder. i dont feel that a Q 12 will be capable sealed of this compared to the RE 15. amp is a Sundown sae-1200d

I recently totaled my car, so I'm selling the system to my cousin. He has an Explorer and where they're from, loud is the only thing that matters. Anyway, he's been entering in comps with two JL 12w6 on a old punch 500(or somethin like that, not sure the model). I have two FI Q 12 with Bp power I'm selling him, along with a Rockford Fosgate T20001BD. Size is not really a problem...he has the entire back of the explorer to fill if necessary. I'm just looking for a big box or whatever will get the job done to throw up big numbers and still sound decent. He said he put up like a 141 Outlaw with the JL's. If that's right, gotta put that to shame to show everybody whats …
