I looked at the voice coil on one and there were markings. What does FC FW mean? Plus how will I know if it has the cooling option I ordered?

Hey guys, I'm looking to build my own vented enclosure (my first) for a 12" BTL fully loaded. I have looked at the box builder programs, but am having trouble. Would someone please design on for me? The maximum dimensions are 15"H x 34"L x 30"D. I plan on making it double baffle, and adding a magnet holder. But I guess before finalizing a design, I was thinking that it should be tuned to 35Hz, what do you guys think? Thanks for the help in advance, Justin

Hello all, I have a 1999 GMC Yukon that I use on weekends to travel to sporting clays shoots. This truck will never be used in a Audio competition just two semi deaf old guys(36 an 38) like to play it loud. The current system is: Subwoofers and speakers 1 JL 18w3 2 Jl 10w0s 4 Infinity 6.5s Amps Kenwood 9104D (powering the 18) Alpine MRP-M500 (powering the 10s) Alpine MRP-F300 (powering the 6.5s) Other Two batteries high output alternator "big 3" This "system" does okay but we are getting a little bored with it. I have a second Kenwood 9104d (900 watt rms at 2ohm limited to 900watt at 1ohm from what little research I have done these amps really do around 700 wa…

Hello again, Now it`s the time for some SQ after some flexxin` (ex: and hihi ).After 6 months of BoomBoom and re-listening to some local SQ cars(some brax users, scanspeaks, focal, microprecision etc) I bought from a friend (who upgraded to microprecision) a set of Focal 165 K2P woofers and HybridAudio L1 Pro tweeters and an Alpine 9835. Now I`m sounddeadning my car, especialy my front doors with 1layer of SS Damplifier Pro+Spectrum Sludge+Damplifier+OverKill pro. Amps: HAT L1pro: Zapco Z50S2; Focals: Premier; Fi Q15: US Amps XT4000(1500W@1ohm load). What enclosure should I build for an SQ setup....a 2cuft or...2.5-2.6 cuft? Optimal box internal volume is 1.1 after displacement, therefore, before displacement it would be 1.1 + .14 = 1.24 cubic feet. Would it be more advisable to buy a box that is slightly bigger than 1.24 and put something inside of it to displace volume or to buy a box slightly smaller and fill with polyfill? I'm finding boxes with 1.0 cubic feet and 1.5 and not sure which way to go.

Just like the title says, I'm planning on getting an Fi Q12, dual 1 ohm with BP power. I was planning on running it off of this at 2 ohms. Will this power it properly? Also, will I need to do any electrical upgrades such as the big three upgrade or a red top battery under the hood? As of now, I'm running off of my stock alternator which puts out 120a and my stock battery. Thanks for the help, -schmizzle

I hope this is posted in right place.... Two questions: 1.) What is the RMS and peak wattage for a single 12" BL with the dual2, flatwind, daily and pchamfer options? The reason I am asking is because I seen on Fi 's site that it says 1000w/rms, but everyone is highly reccomending the sundown 1500d (which i am about to get.) So, why is that so if it is only rated for 1000watts? Does adding those options bring it up? I had a new custom box built by Sound Advice here in florida and the guy who was instlling it says to me that I will not notice too much of a difference in swithcing from a RF Punch 1000w/rms amp to a 1500 watt/rms amp ( in this case to the sundown 1500d)…

I have 1.0 cubic feet before displacement and it is a sealed box. I am wondering will I be able to get a 12" in there with adding polyfill and make it sound good or should I stick with the 10". I will have a sundown sae1000d powering either one.
