Hey guys, I have an 18" BL running at about 1200 watts and this thing moves air. I've had some problems with my rear deck flapping up and down no matter how much I seal it off. It seems air is always getting into it. It will even start shaking my rear seats and moving them in and out (they are foldable). My rear speakers currently are a sealed speaker. In such that they are an older JBL pair I got from a friend's lincoln. So the cone isn't being moved or anything by the air. I don't ever use rear fil, i just threw them in there to help seal up the rear deck and so on. My question is this though...by attempting to seal up the rear deck (dynamating it, covering all the hole…

I need box plans for a Fi Q12 (dual 2). It going to be powered by a Sundown 1000D. I want it to get loud but also have SQ. So Im thinking tuning it to 32hz. Fi recommends 12-16 square inches of vent area per cubic foot of volume. The demensions I want to use are 14.5 H, 28 W, 18 D. (can change alittle)

I was wangin my ssd the other day and it was wangin hard, loud just like fi should then i turned it off went inside and about 2 or so hours later i went back out there was about to leave and the sub or amp just didnt pound like it did before. It just wasnt as loud and didnt vibrate my whole car like it did before. I think it might be the amp, but im not quite sure. I figure it might be a connection problem or somethin, but i checked all that and no problems. Thanks Mike

  8. So, here is my problem. I am going to be running one sub and I have a slight "Monk" issue...for those of you who know that show. I feel like things have to be balanced out. So, I want to put my sub in the middle of the enclosure and would like to have two ports, one on each side. Is this clausable and how do I go about figuring out how much port area I need. The specs say 12-16 sq inches of port per cu ft of box volume. So I am planning around 40 sq inches of port area total. Would this be 20sq in per port or am I calculating this incorrectly. Any and all help would be happily listened to. Thanks

So I have 2 designs to choose from. Both designs have a total of 11 cubes and tuned @ 31Hz. This design fires into the side of my Xploder back by the hatch... Subs up, port up... What you guys think? EDIT: Big thanks to AMATT85 over @ SMD! I will be running the Qs off a MTX 92001

I'm putting a Q10 in a sealed box and am looking for a good size for SQ. The website recommends .2 to .6 cu ft. I should have 1000 watts @2Ohms available. Would a larger or smaller box lend itself to better SQ. Thanks.

i am toying with the idea of either a ported 10Q or a sealed 12Q. overall i want SQ, but want it to get loud. i listen to mostly rock music and really enjoy a good jamming bass line. i am a sales rep so i spend alot of time on the road and due to needing the space for samples i don't want a box much bigger than 1.5 cubes ( MAX ). my question is this- i already have the AX600DE-- is it enough to drive a 12Q sealed? i know that at 1 ohm it will drive 600W ( on paper ). the amp is extremely efficient, but will it really drive either Q? this is more of a question for Scott or someone with experience with Fi. i am not a newbie by any means- i am just looking for s…

Do you think 2 loaded BTL's with daily option will work with 4 SAZ-3000D's in a SPL only setup (burp). This will be a 16 volt system and box after sub and port displacement will be 8.75 cubic feet tuned to 50hz. If not what subs.

  15. Im driving a Dodge dakota extended cab and im going to be running 2 12" fi q's. I was wondering if it would be better to face the subs towards the front of the truck firing at the back of the seats, or firing towards the ceiling of the truck. Thanks in advance for any help!

I recently purchased one SSD in my old box and i absolutely love it. I will be ordering a second sub in a month and need to build a box for it. I am trying to figure out the dimensions for 2 12's around 4 cubes tuned to 32 hz. I am not sure how to create a box that fits these specs. My dad and i built a box for a w6 but all the dimensions were given so it was very simple. Any past build specs would be very appreciated.

Can I get a recone for 2 jl 12 w6's? My boy just smoked them and gave them to me. The only specs that I could find was, 300 watts rms, 2.5 inch coil, 11.1 xmax, and they are dual 6 ohm coils. And the dust cap comes with the recone? And what would be the new spes with the recone?

So I am about ready to start this new setup. I ended up thinking that I would like to go with two flared ports with a 15" sub. Is it okay to put two flared ports in an enclosure with a single 15? I wanted to do this, sadly, for the looks so I can keep the sub in the middle of the enclosure so things stay symmetric. How do I go about this. Do I follow the same rough 12 to 16 inches of port area per cu ft of volume or do i now divide that in half since I am running two ports. Any help would be great as I dont want to screw this up. THanks.

I just read about this sub at audiojunkies. I've got a pair of AA Atlases running free air in my little creampuff, a 94 Olds Cutlass Cierra. I'm thinking of replacing them with these. Any thoughts? I'm running 150w to each of the Atlases, I'll be doing the same to these. http://www.audiojunkies.com/blog/866#continued Thanks

I have 2 15s btl. 1 is dual 1 ohm, measured 1.5ohm on each coil.(working) both 2 magnet motor. 2nd is d2 , measured 2.5 ohm. (blown) d1 sub, the pole is black color , i think that means its universal. d2 sub blown, doesnt have black colored pole. Question is can i recone d2 with 1 ohm recone kit to match my other btl, and will they have same specs? plz help me out.
