Hi, Subs are 2 FI ssd 12 D2 BP Power . I know they are recomended for a 1.8 to 2.5cf box, Due to the room available I can only go up to 3.17cf after displacement and bracing with 50sqin of port. tuned to 33.5hz? Do they perform well in smaller than recomended enclosures? will be running about 2.5krms to them Thanks

Is there like a list of subs that you guys can recone? or is it just american sizes? or what? Are there any rf's able to be reconed? or are they all foreign motors of some kind??<----T1's????? i want some ssd's soooooooooo bad but i need some $$$ and ive got 2 toasted T1's sittin here, jw wonderin if i can do anything with them instead of sending them to rf for $104 each plus shipping which is like $40 each, each way---- $400+ haha Thanks

Guys, I was wondering why some people go outside the recommended cubic feet from FI for enclosure size? I am thinking because its vehicle specific or is there another reason? I have seen guys running 4 BL 12's in a 13 cube net enclosure.

I have an FiQ 15 and it bottomed out on about 5 notes for less than 30 seconds due to faulty ground wire. I was just wondering if any permanent damage could have been done to the sub? It plays fine now after securing the ground wire, but i'm just waiting for something to pop.

im trying to stay with an enclosure that is 3cf or less and trying to decide whats better, 2 12s sealed with 3000watts (buy a new sundown 3000 amp) or 1 12 ported with 1500 watts (keep my mtx 1501d)? if the sealed subs would be louder, how much louder? last option is 2 10s ported. looking for LSQ, basically the loudest set up i can get with the space available. appreciate the help!

Well right now im running one 15 Fi Q in the trunk of my civic. The box is around 3.2 after displacement and tunned around 33. I got it ran off a memphis 1000D. It sounds pretty good but i was thinking about doubling my power and getting another 15 Q. Problem is i barely have enough room for one in my trunk. My civic is not my daily driver and i was possibly thinking about walling it and running 2 15Q's off of 2000rms. I was just wondering everyones opinions on this? Would it be worth walling with that power and how do u think it would sound in a good built box. Any help or sugestions would be appreciated, figured i would get some opinions before deciding on this, thanks

right now i have 1 12" ssd fully powered in a ported box. it is 16X22X14. it sounds good and i listen to almost everything from rap to techno. I was wondering if it would be better to switch to a sealed box? i mean one advantage would be less used space. and which direction should i face the box also...

which fi sub would sound the best in my ~7 cube box. its about 3.5 cubes before port so about 3 cubes per sub. the box is tuned to 29hz and since its the biggest possible box i was able to make that fits in and out of my trunk with ease thats all i really wanted. so i want to keep the box but by the specs of the sub which would get loudest in this prefab box.

I'm trying to decide on a sub for my car, and design an enclosure for it. I listen to a lot of drum and bass, so due to the wide range of frequencies, I've already decided to go with a sealed enclosure, and I have a Hifonics BXi 1606D to power the sub. My original plan was to go with a 10" Q, as I figured it would be more than loud enough, even sealed. The issue I've run into, however, is that I want to mount the amp on top of the box, to keep things more compact (take up less trunk space), and to make the box and amp easily removable for autocrosses. i should be getting a 18 btl any day now so i built a box for it i have somewhere around 6 to 7 cubic feet not including the ports iam wondering how to get the box tuned at 32 to 35 hertz is it the cubic feet for which the box is made or is it from the amp and cd deck ?? any help would be usefull thanks yall

FI website says 5-10 cubes is the recommendation. i will have 1500w on tap and am wondering, what is the difference between the 5 cube box and the 10 cube box. obviously the 10 cube box will be more efficient etc etc. but im more concerned with whether 5 cubes is really going to be enough for an 18? most people build 8 cube+. biggest i can get is 5.5 to 6 cubes, is that size box really enough? anyone with particular experience with this would be especially welcome.

Ive been looking for a "special" basket for my 05 15 XXX woofers for a while and i was wondering if FI would be able to help me out? I know all you guys use are the 12 spoke but i was wondering if you had anything different could make somethign different or knew where i could get something different? (other then the 12 spoke or the 6 spoke DD design) Im honestly in love with the last generation of the fosgate punch HX2 baskets but since its been some time since they sold that woofer i havent been able to pick any up.... So i only have like ~180 watts from the back two channels on my amp it is a JL J2 320.4. Im on a budget like mad here unfortunately and that amp was $99 not seeing anything else for that kinda money recently. So i snatched it up. I am running the front two channels on boston acoustic rallye series 5.25 co-ax, the back two channels will be bridged to a subwoofer that amp will do 60x4 at 4ohm 80x4 at 2 ohm. Ive read they are a tad bit underated so 160-180 watts is all i can expect. If i buy and X will that be enough amp sealed? I dont really think i wanna get a ported box right now. i have been searching the forums and technical advise.... but i dont see anything about FI speakers in a sealed application. i want to run 2-15's or 2-18's in the backseat (fiberglassed in) of my caprice, however i dont really like running ported enclosures. is sealed not an option with FI speakers?

I was planing to make a box for my BL 15... but i have a few ideas.. whats the diffrents from the sub facing toward the rear of the vehical? Vs. The sub faced up ward toward the trunk lid? and what is a good tuneing for the sub? 35hz? 32hz? or 30hz? i have a 1500 rms amp... and i listen to rap and metal.. rap most of the time...

Im soon to be getting 1 15" ssd but i just have a few questions on what i should do to elctrical to make it sound the best it could without spending alot of money at all (under 150$). it will probably be going in a ported box about 3.1 after all displacements at 32-33hz. Now my car is a 1995 saturn sl2. stock alternator and wiring. battery is over a year old. would just replacing all wiring in my car to 0 guage do the trick or would i have to go alot further. 0 guage on big 3 then on power and ground also. I would also like to know if my US amps XT2000D would be good to power it. thanks.

Hi, I'm about to order an 18" btl I just got done going through the options i'm bit confused as to what ohm to get I want to run it at 1ohm the amp ill be using is a HCCA-D5000 monoblock my qustion is should I get a duel 2ohm and run it in parallel or what? how would I wire the sub if it was duel 1ohm, split the pos and neg in the box and hook up all the turmanals?

Hey guys, i am looking for a box design and was hoping one of ya could help me out. Its for 2 18" BL's powered off one rf t3000 going in a tahoe. I would like the dimensions no bigger than 28x48x22 if possible for daily driving tuned around 32hz subs up port back. I really dont trust myself designing one, but i guess thats one way to learn. Any help is appreciated.

This is for my buddy thats in Iraq. Im doing all of this for him while he is gone. The vehicle in a 2001 Chevy Silverado EXT Cab. He needs the back seat due to a child. http://www.supercrewsound.com/shop/detail/11/242.htm thats the box we decided on. He wont have to raise his seat any and it will fit no problem. Now the question is should he get 12" or 10" FI SSDs. if he gets the 12" they will be in about .71cuft each and if he gets the 10" they will be in about .73cuft. The amp is the Kicker ZX1500.1. He listens to rap/rock/country you name it he listens to it. What would you guys suggest? Would polyfill help the lack of space for the 12" Any help would be great guys.

Ok so Fi recommends 2-2.6 cf for a sealed 15 Q. The Khaotik sealed 15 box comes in at 2.769 cf. So will I be ok to run a slightly bigger box or will I run into any problems. Cus that really doesn't seem like that much of a difference to me but just wanted to check. Thanks.

I'm planning on building a box for my sub, but I cant find the parameters anywhere on Fi's website. does anyone have a link or know what the parameters are?

A buddy of mine has an Orion amp, I'm not sure on the model of it but it's a 2400 watt amp and the yellow ecp light I think it is comes on and there is no output from the sub so I'm just kind of wondering what the ecp light is for and why it is on.

need help with port length for a box for 2 18" ssds. current box is 48 x 24 x 24 external, 46.5 x 3" slot port tuned to 32Hz. I want to build a bigger box with a bigger port. What would be the port length for 48 x 24 x 31 external with a 46.5 x 4" port tuned to 31Hz.
