  1. like the topic says im experimenting with my RE MT to see which coil amp combination will work best, so I would like to know thanx guys , and is there a longer version of the original dual 0.7(actual quad 1.4) coil ?? im in dire need of xmax to get louder... im hearing slapping when i get that sub moving alot( could i be bouncing off the dust cap? I dont think im bottoming out)... last time i ripped the coil right off of the spiders (quad stiff) that was with 4 ab 500.1 gain all the way down ( only got them to produce 75xx watts before sub exploded)or should I be using a different basket with 10" spiders? btw this is a 15" with 12 spoke basket

Approximetely 1-2 weeks ago, I decided to I needed a new sub. There was a big upcoming sound competition in my town and I needed something to beat a rival of mine that had more money, and more time, haha So I knew Fi was a good place to go. At this point, i was extremely focused on beating my rival and so I decided to go all out with my power options (JBL BP1200.1) and get an 18" BL fully loaded. This worked pretty good for the competition. Didn't do as well as expected, but we tuned the box way to high in a poor guess on our part of the cars freq. it was around 41 and we were tuned for 47-49hz. still, we managed to hit 141.6 at the headrest with 1400 watts of power, stoc…

Am using two Q 15s but in to seperate cambers that are in 2.9-3.0 cuft enclosures after all displacement, is this too small?. Would it be better to use a single or a dual camber? I was told that the single would hit harder. What do you guys think? The box is tune to 30Hz using a port that is 2 X 14 and 16.75 inches long. Am still in da building stages so i can change some things just alittle if its necessary.

  7. I have 2 fi Q 15's (w/ BP Power) in a sealed enclosure (seperate chambers) in a 2000 dodge dakota. Each chamber is 2.5 cu.ft after all displacment. I have my gain set on my amp (AQ2200D) to 4 V the same as the output of my head unit (Pioneer AVH-P5050DVD). My bass boss is all the way down, and so is my subsonic filter. The max vol. on this unit is 40 but i usually listen to my music with the vol. set to about 24-26. I just installed the system about three days ago so am still "breaking in the subs." On my way to work lastnight, i could smell whats seemed to be something buring. All my bass levels are set to either 0 or normal. Is there any reason for this to happen. I kno…

Hey everyone Just a really simple question. The enclosure measurements for Fi speakers, are they measured before woofer displacement? Just need to clarify so I can build an optimal box with maximum air space. Thanks again!

Hey so i want to tune my box to 32 hz. but i am confused on how this whole box design works. the previous systems that i have had i just bought boxes, but this time i want to build my own. i drive a jeep cherokee so i have plenty of room in the back end for a big box. will someone please give me the exact measurements of the port, width, height, length, and any other measurements i would need! that would be soooooooo awesome! thanks. or even better email me a sketch with all the measurements on it. my email is [email protected]

I'm in the process of buying a 15" BL within the next two weeks. i was going to pay someone to build me a box, but its going to cost +$200 and take well over 3 weeks for him to build it. so i decided to do some some research (and save some $$$$) and found two enclosure plans that fit the 15" what one should i build? the first design or this one Net volume: 3.5cuft Tuning: 33Hz Port Area: 52.5(15"Hx3.5"W) Dimensions:16.5H"X24D"x26.5W" *design stolen from ROE. Another question, Its a fully loaded 15" Bl powered by a rockford fosgate T1500-1BD the amp is rated at 1000W x 1 @ 2-Ohms RMS 1500W x 1 @ 1-Ohm RMS is it safe to wire the subwoofer at 1ohm for daily play? i know…

I am debating if I should dampen the custom box when I get my 12 fi bl 2ohm. Also what do you guys think about powering it with a PDX 1.1000 at 4ohm ~1229 rms?

I have an FiQ 15 and it bottomed out on about 5 notes for less than 30 seconds due to faulty ground wire. I was just wondering if any permanent damage could have been done to the sub? It plays fine now after securing the ground wire, but i'm just waiting for something to pop.

Hey guys, I was running down some information to do a build for a buddy this weekend. He's looking to do a modest setup with 4-500 watts of power to the sub stage and would like to go with a pair of 10's. I showed him the 10" X's which he was very interested in after listening to my Q's he's quite impressed with Fi. One thing I noticed both here on the forum and on the website is that there's no Tech specs for that line. It's easy enough to post up here or send an email asking about the optimum tuning, enclosure size, etc. which we'd like to know, but I figured I'd just go ahead and ask when you might be expecting to have something up on that information? Also, I thi…

I'm looking for someone (Scott? Nick? Just anyone that knows what they're doing) to help me get together a box design (cut sheets, etc)... I plan on running the Q for a little while in a sealed box I built that is right at 2.6 cubes (after sub displacement), but want to build a ported box later so it will hit the lows better. I have no problem with building it, that is easy for me, I just need a good design that is tuned to a certain Hz. I want it to sound good, but be louder from the outside than it will be sealed. Would 32 Hz be a good "middle of the road" tune? The box is going to go in the floor of an ext. cab '01 silverado (still has the backseat, just leaving it up…
