Has the title states, how do I get a 1 ohm load with 2 btls? My first previous subs where dual4 so I wired them in parallel. Do I need dual1 ohm? If so how do I wire them? Thanks.

I was wondering if 140in of port is to small for 2 of the Bl 18's? When I build my box the port would be 20h x 7w x 12d that would be 32hz. The box would be 40h x53w x14d. Should they be tuned lower or higher? Thanx Jason

  8. http://imgur.com/a/lNcLR#0 i have two sets of images its this album. a 33hz tune and a 36hz tune. i intend to build the entire box minus one side (leaving it to be held on by only screws) and change out the port as i test the subs volume. once i have things set ill glue on the final side. i would greatly appreciate it if someone would check my math and offer and criticism on what i have laid out here. thank you very much.

  16. Got 2-12" BTLs the old versions. Im trying to make up my mind on what to power them with between a AT-5000.1D or the AT-7000.1D. Its only going to be a daily blowthrough in a '97 Thunderbird. Which do u think I aught to go with? If I went with the 5K Id be saving needed space due to less batteries. If I went with the 7K its a $400 difference in price and Id have to get an extra rear battery on top of the ones I already plan to run.

I scored 2 15"q's of ebay for 405$ So im in the process of designing a new box for them. My box total after speaker and bracing displacement is 11.488cuft. So i need about 137-183 inches of port area. I was thinking a 9inx20in port 25.84 inches long for 30hz. That would leave me 8.798cuft after all displacement with 180 inches of port area. Does this sound good? If not what would you reccomend?

I was just wondering if it was possible to replace the push terminals on the BTL with the terminals you need a hex key to open and close, could someone also tell me what gauge wire will fit in the push terminals. I don't have it yet, I'm just asking if its possible.

Can someone tell me if this port size is right for what I want. Box size is 12.91 cubes after subs and port displacement. the port size is 23hx7wx14.56d = 32Hz. Is this right? 2-18'' Q's will be used in this box. Looking for it to hit really hard and will this box hit loud and hard? the subs will see about 6.45 cubes each. Is this box good for the Q's to hit really hard in?ready to build today....

I ran 2 bl 18's off 2 sundown 1500d's for little over 2 years with no problems at all. Those bl's had cooling, flatwind, daily options. Now they offer to have a 4" coil for extra $50. This time I will be running either an aq or sundown 3500 on 2 18's. With the 3500d should I go ahead and get the 4" coil, Im pretty sure the 3" would be fine since I ran the others with no problems that long. thanks for suggestions
