I have two Fi 12" old x series woofers the ones sold on the black fiday special. My question is, what is the recomended enclosure volume per speaker for a ported box? I have had them in a sealed 1 cubic foot per sub box since I bought them on black friday. Which has been ok for the time being, but I have moved to a hotter climate, and need a ported box to help cool the woofers as well as get the most spl out of the woofers.

I am set on getting 2 15" BTLs, but I am trying to get some help from you guys on who makes really good enclosures. btw im obviously a noob

I got new 2 Fi 18's Q series unloaded, no options on them at all. whats the most amount of RMS power I can put on each one???? Im getting the Audiopipe 3000d amp and wiring them at 2 ohms and that would put 1500 rms on them.

which is better 2 or 4-ohm for a SINGLE BTL on a kicker 2500.1

Well,I just ordered a Q15 dual 1 ohm sub for my car. I had a 12w6v2 in a jl spec sealed box but after hearing the Q10 in a sealed boxed that I bought for my wife's car (hers goes lower and sounds better than my 12" ,just not as loud)I decided to go Fi also. I have a 06 Jetta and I wanted to run a sealed enclosure.I have lots of trunk space. I know that the spec sheet says 2-2.6 ft3 but is there anyone running larger and how does it sound. I want to focus on sq and very deep lows.

for 15" btl fully loaded. i cant get my comp. to take a screen shot, but the dims are... 4.1^3 45^2 inches of port ~33 hz going to be double baffled. but i have a Q, how far away from the back wall does the motor need to be, sine btls dont have a pole vent, i wouldnt thik it would matter as long as it isnt touching, am i correct?

Will 12-gauge speaker wires work with a Fi Q 15 D2? I hope so because I already have those wires installed with my current sub which is going to be replaced

Can someone tell me if this port size is right for what I want. Box size is 12.91 cubes after subs and port displacement. the port size is 23hx7wx14.56d = 32Hz. Is this right? 2-18'' Q's will be used in this box. Looking for it to hit really hard and will this box hit loud and hard? the subs will see about 6.45 cubes each. Is this box good for the Q's to hit really hard in?ready to build today....

i am about to put my 10" BL running at 1 ohm on a lanzar opti2000d. This week I am installing an irragi 200 amp alt and a kinetik 2400. Will this setup destroy my sub? If so i'm going to get a DD9512. Let me know please!

I'm looking at picking up 2 SSD's (15"), the box will be roughly 7 - 7.5 cubes. I would like to find out what the optimal size for the port. Still deciding between slot and aero, might need some suggestions there. Let me know the dimensions of the port you would use for mainly SPL in a 7.5 cube box. Thanks!

Whats a good port length for the BTL as a daily driver tuned around the recommended 32 hz and 14in^2 per cube? 2000rms power. Enclosure will be glassed into the side of my trunk and I have around 4600in^3 before any displacements to work with. So should be around 2cuft after. Trying to see if I can make a ported enclosure work or not. Thanks!

If anyone has tried this could you tell me what you think of it? I'm trying to build a wall that is all funky shaped. Trying to smash 4 18's into a Ford Explorer. found this program but would just like to know if anyone else has used and what you think of it. The bottom is 37" deep x 52" wide then go to 33" deep x 18.5 " high. Top is 33" deep x 52" wide 18.5" high Grand total of 37" tall x 52" wide and the depth. Trying to utilize every bit of room I can so I can still have room for batteries and amps. Plus the ports gotta go in there to. Any help on any other programs or any ideas would be appreciated. I have just purchased 2 15" BTL Fully loaded. They are on 2 mmats 2100.1. I just got them and they SLAM!!!!! I am seriously and deleriously happy BUT I know I could be happier. My box is very small for these subs and I drive a big car (Crown Vic) so I know a new box is a good idea. My current box dimensions are 48" Width 17" Height 17" Depth, measured OD......Port is 4.5" wide divided with .5" 15" deep 15" height, measured ID. This car is CLEAN CLEAN so with that in mind I don't want to go tearing it apart...totally. I dont mind ripping out the metal behind the seat or cutting the rear deck. Hey guys, im from maximum threshold, my team captain has been waiting for a reply from scott about recones for my MT that we need for db drag world finals. Is there any way one of you can speed up the process a bit or maybe we can talk to another one of ya about it? We are in dire need of the recones and our trip to finals depends on it. My buddy has 2 XT-4000D amps made by US Amps, I was wondering if 1 of them would work good for a dual 2 ohm 15" Fi Btl Subwoofer

http://imgur.com/a/lNcLR#0 i have two sets of images its this album. a 33hz tune and a 36hz tune. i intend to build the entire box minus one side (leaving it to be held on by only screws) and change out the port as i test the subs volume. once i have things set ill glue on the final side. i would greatly appreciate it if someone would check my math and offer and criticism on what i have laid out here. thank you very much.

Ok so my Q stopped working an i tested the coils an the left one reads 0 and the right one reads .8 i think it wierd that just one coil would burn or be messed up. Anyone have any input on this.? Thanks, Teddy

Ok right now I have the Q 15's and I've gotten used to them so I want to upgrade to the BL series. My question is, ok i want the same freqency response as the Q's have cause I like how they perform down low, but I need to know which options in the BL should I go with to have a good daily woofer? I was thinking of going with the cooling, flatwind, daily, and universal options because I am not looking to do any competing just some really bad street beating. But Im a little skeptical about the cooling option because it says that there is less metal in the motor thus making it a little weaker? So should I just go with p/chamfer, flatwind, daily, and universal because I dont w…

okay my box is 20"hight x 40"wide x 20 "depth according to the speaker box tunning calc. its is 7.63cubic ft. now iam trying to figure out my port on it and the lengths i have right now is 7"hirght x 9" wide x 15" depth and i get 33.81 hertz its the hertz i want my box to be tuneed to but the port area per foot is only 9.14"sqaured and Fi says the port should be 12-16"sqaured do i have to cahnge the port to be 12-16"sqaured thank you for your help

Hey everyone. I'm in need of some plans for a ported enclosure for two 12" Fi SSDs (with copper coils if it matters). This will be my first box build...but I'm confident I can make a nice quality box. I'm just having some trouble coming up with some plans. Does anybody have some drawn up I can use for reference?
