Would a the US Amp MD 2D be enough for 2 10" SSDs with the copper coil? The does the amp really produce 1500 watts at 1 ohm? Or is it overrated?

I've got a couple IB 15" for home theater use. I was wondering how these would sound in a panel van. With a VAS of 270 I figured I'd make a 10 ft^3 sealed enclosure for each and give them a try. Anyone have any input?

Hey guys, i recently built a box for my 18" BL and i realized it doesnt really have the low end that I am looking for. So, I'm looking at blocking up one of my ports to lower the tuning. my question about this is the vent velocity. currently, its tuned to around 37Hz. if i blocked up one of the ports, i'd lower it down to 31Hz. Vent velocity is what worries me though: at 37Hz, I have a peak of 15.7m/s VV @ 25Hz at 31Hz, I'd have a peak of 22.9m/s VV @ 22Hz; i reach 15.7m/s of VV with the 31Hz tuning @ 34Hz Is it worth it? or will the port noise be to much? the group delay also jumps a little bit, but i'm not to worried about that because it all happens in the 24Hz range…

Title says it all. I can build a enclosure with about 11 cu ft (internal volume, displacement of the subs has been removed). I read on a forum a while ago that you get the best SQ if you go with a big vented enclosure. I want to hit the lows but not to loose the highs completely. I listen to almost everything that's called music. That means from Queen to ATB to Bob Marley. My goal is SQ. The car is a Toyota Celica GT, this one: I will be using a Hifonics BXi 2610D amplifier pushing 2600W rms on to two Fi Q 18" subs. The optimal vented enclosure as I have read is from 6-10 cu ft for one, meaning 12-20 cu.ft. for two subs. Or 4-8 cu.ft. for a sealed enclosure, 8-16 cu.f…

I'm looking to redo my wall for my BTL 18s. I'm currently using a Cactus 5kw, running it at .7. My electrical consists of a 200amp alt, XS d3400 under the hood and a d3100 in the trunk. I'll be adding a second d3100 during the rebuild of the wall. How big would you guys go for the amount of power I'm using? My current wall is 14 cubes (after displacement), 35hz tune, with 192" of port. The design was bad, hence why I'm redoing it. It's only doing a 151.5 at the headrest with the passenger door wide open. The way I have the port and subs I'm having some phase issues and I think I can get much louder then I am. This is just for daily driving with some competing on the side…

I am 19 I have 2 sp4's on the way. I have 2 ampere 3800's. Everything going in a 98 dodge ram 1500 ext cab. I'm wanting at least 154-56db to the ear. Would 2 in a 4th order do the job or would 3 be better? I'm not trying to get 4 because I want to save money.

Since my second Q is getting here tomorrow, I thought why dont I start working on the box like tomorrow or Saturday since I have nothing better to do on those days.. So I was hoping that there is someone around here that is an expert at box designs and cutout measurements could help me on making a design and measurements then I'll build it... The box is going to be for 2 15 inch Fi Q's.. Ported.. I would like the subs firing upwards and port firing towards the hatch.. Also, I want it to be tuned at 32hz.. It will be going in my explorer.. so the max dimensions I got: Height: 16 1/2 inches Length: 41 1/2 inches Width: This wont matter, I got plenty of room, but would li…

How u doing FI, im from miami fl and i have a single cab dodge ram 1500 with 3 15" kicker cvx subwoofer in a sealed box. All powerd by 3 1100 MONOBLOCK MEMPHIS amplifiers. I have 2 kinetic batterys and a 250 amp alternator. I hit around 152.4 db. now i know that your bl 15 will fit in the box, but i only have 1.8 cubes per speaker. what do u suggest? Maybe getting the Q that also handles 1000 watts rms? basically what speaker will give me the most db's with the set up i have now? here is a pic of my set up. Thanks and i look foward to joining team FI

currently have 2 18" bl's off a kx2500.1 @ 1 ohm. birthsheet states ~3kw @ 2 ohms. here is my post copied from ca.com "currently they are sitting in 11.5 cubes or so tuned to about 35hz. output is pretty good but still not quite where i want it to be. seems like with my ammount of power they should be louder, especially for 2 18's. the only thing i can think of is box volume being on the small side. i was told by the FI guys that 5.5-6 cubes would be fine with my power, but im having doubts now. im thinking of sacrificing my rear seats and build the box to take up the whole cargo area but still be at/under the window line. this would give me a chit load more room to work …

I was wondering if the BP option changes anything on the T/S parameters of any woofer it gets done to? Does it lower efficiency? And if it does, what is the point? Does a subs BL drop by having the BP option?

like the topic says im experimenting with my RE MT to see which coil amp combination will work best, so I would like to know thanx guys , and is there a longer version of the original dual 0.7(actual quad 1.4) coil ?? im in dire need of xmax to get louder... im hearing slapping when i get that sub moving alot( could i be bouncing off the dust cap? I dont think im bottoming out)... last time i ripped the coil right off of the spiders (quad stiff) that was with 4 ab 500.1 gain all the way down ( only got them to produce 75xx watts before sub exploded)or should I be using a different basket with 10" spiders? btw this is a 15" with 12 spoke basket

Well, I've been looking to start my first real system, and I found a really good deal on these 2 subs. They are the 1ohm 12" Q's. I am pretty newbish and was wondering what configuration would be best (I would guess just wiring them for 1ohm final), and what amps would be good options to push these? Im still in highschool with a part time job so my budget is a little tight (but feel free to say what you think, I can save up if need be). Many thanks, Ben

this is a test box i built. okay it's 1.1cu. ft. and i had it tuned from 32-36-40-48. after trying all of these, the other box i have in the car is louder. do i not have enough port or wrong place? i don't know. at 32 hz the test box has a smoother transition. all the rest of the tunings were okay, not great. anyways my question is what size box would you guys recommend for spl and at what tuning? my car peaks at 43 hz in the old box. maybe i was expecting too much but after hearing the bl in my existing box i got all excited. just wanna try and make an spl box the one i have now is a pretty good dd. thank you in advance to everyone. btw it's a 3" port and a 1…
